It's hilarious that JiaHao left you with his home full of rare and collectible plants with zero watering instructions; just fully trusting you with his leafy children. That's true friendship
I love how you are scared to touch a cricket, but you will willingly move caterpillars into your home to feed on one of your plants in the open like they own the place 🤣
As a person who's used to being apart of the pet community which is filled with controversy and misinformation to be honest, it's refreshing to discover such a calm community lol. Thank you for introducing me to the beautiful world of house plants benji :)
I will not lie, I was incredibly inspired by that terrarium to the extent where I immediately made a moss landscape terrarium after seeing Benji’s video, like I made this terrarium so immediately and impulsively that I think it may actually be at the same stage of growth as his.
6:28 In Romania we tend to believe that the opposite of dreams will come true. So for example, if you dream all of your plants died, they are going to be fine in real life. :D
One time as a kid I slept over at a friends house that had feeding crickets. Her cat knocked over the container in the middle of the night. Ahhhh. You guys are brave lol!!❤
"No wine for babies." My HEART. 💙 It sounded like such an intimidating housesitting opportunity, but you two were so great. Boosted my confidence! Love you guys. 💙🤟
Benji, Love your friends place & plants. I'd have left the ants in his outdoor spider plant. Ants are not harmful to potted plants. In fact, they can be beneficial because they help aerate the soil and spread nutrients around. Ants prey on many pests that could damage your plants, such as mealybugs. Love his frog enclosure.I used to raise Chameleons. Miss it. Nice to get away for a bit I'm sure. The pups had such a good visit.☺️💚🌿🌱🍃🌵🪴🍀
You need to clean litter box a few x a day, then it's not gross, lol 😉 So sweet of you guys to help out your friends💚🌱🤗 When my son was a little guy, he had frogs, and salamanders. Totally know about live feeding insects 🦎🐸🐜
I wish I had someone with your knowledge to care for my plants and aquarium when my bf and I are out of town. Luckily half the year I can put everything outside where the weather is basically tropical so I can travel without stressing. Maybe there should be an app to hire knowledgeable plant people to care for peoples plants when they’re gone lol
Wait a minute. I’m only on the 50 second mark of this video and I’m already super entertained 😅 love it . Benjie, you are the best. Okay, now to the video I continue 😅
Nice place, I would love to take care of this house cramped with animals and plants, the view outside is beautiful and there are mirrors everywhere reflecting the plants and even the dog Theo in the cabinet (1:03) !. The anthuriums and philodendrons are beautiful ! this anthurium luxurians is gorgeous, it is on the top of my wishlist, the only thing that stops me is that this is not an easy plant and I don't want to have a cabinet in my room, only open shelves ... if someone read this post and could tell me if it is possible to keep this plant out of a cabinet ??? thanks
That is so amazing you are breeding butterlies in your home! Never seen that before are those endangered variety? The Monarch kind and also Blue morpho could really use help as they are endangered species. I am so impressed by you guys!
Love to see how they have layered their plants! Mine are in huge pots, but too spread out but also not going to rot the walls from too much moisture constantly trapped near them or the expensive real wood floors. Looks like you needed a few days/nights there for training before they left.
O my goodness guys. I just love love love the whole vibe of the house. Plants. Tanks. Creativity. All the little details. Guys truly inspirational. 🤗. May I join your crew.
Love your videos. As a novice plant lover, your videos inspire me. I also like your apartment and book collection. I'm assuming you love to read scifi/fantasy.
Aaaahhh I don't know why I m.not getting the notifications. Good thing I checked. I think this spring I m not doing too much plant purchasing, things ate getting expensive. So I m going to focus on organization in the plants.
Quick tip - for the crickets - since you're there for a week? I made it up, it's called the "CBC" method. Jk, I don't have a name for it. But it's essentially "container, bait, collect" but then "seal, refrigerate, feed." In that order. Whenever possible, put the crickets in the fridge just for 5 minutes, or until you see that they're asleep. To collect crickets for feeding, I get a small plastic container or bottle (must have cap/lid!), place a piece of fruit or veg in it, then place the open container in with the crickets...They'll quickly investigate the smell of the food, and when there are enough crickets in the jar or whatever, take it out, seal it, & place in the fridge. As soon as they're asleep, take them out; don't let them die. They just take a little nap, and they will wake up again - so time is ticking! It normally takes 5-10 minutes, and it just makes moving them around soooo much simpler. And then you have two choices; you can place them in the cage and let them wake up on their own. Then, as the crickets start wiggling their legs and waking up, the frogs will notice. It also makes it easier for the animal to catch them when they're not hopping all over the place.… Second option is if you're going to hand-feed them with tongs. Then it doesn't matter if they're dead or alive. It just makes grabbing them a hell of a lot easier.…but not all reptiles or amphibians respond to being hand-fed. Most do, especially when they have healthy appetites; but some have that primal hunting instinct. Some will do both. It's enriching for them to hunt as well. But def whatever you do, container, bait, collect, seal, refrigerate, feed!
If it was me the frogs would still be hungry 😢 bugs scare the crap out of me! Would have needed reinforcement 😅 loved the video though.. as usual ❤❤ HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥂
lol yea that plant parent anxiety is real. I dont like going out on weekends cuz I wonder if my plants are getting enough light or if I have to up the humidity or not. I left once and it was a super dry day and I came back to yellow anthuriums
I love this so much!! It seemed really personal and I would love more of these. I feel like I really got to know more of your personality through this video. ... on another note, I know this may sound weird, but.... here me out. I had a dream that I was in Los Angeles and I saw you in your house. You were editing a video on your computer, and for some reason your dad was scolding and yelling at you. Then the next thing I know I'm in your house. The thing is your house is different and it has really tall ceilings and your walls are painted pink and orange. In the dream I have a fake flashback to when you said in a video that didn't happen, "I love it when people recognize me in public!" So I walk into your house and say "I recognize you!" You are crying, (from when your dad scolded you) and say "would you like a house tour?" I say yes and you show me around. Except, when you show me Chris and your room, you show me a room you have never shown the camera that is decaying and goes into a white void. Then I wake up. Ummmmm please don't think Im a creep lol. I think it was because I recently binged like 4 of your videos or smthn. haha.
Thank you for house sitting 🥰 you two were so brave for feeding Sweetpea & Yechan 🐸
OMG IT'S TYLER HI TYLER

It’s called a Mist-O light from the brand ONF
@@benjiplant Thank you i've been looking for a simple light without all the built in timers and things for a long time.
I love this so much!! It seemed really personal and I would love more of these. I feel like I really got to know more of your personality through this video.
