She was an employee of that company at that time, and is legally required to act in good faith as an agent for that leasing agency. She accepted the payments as a representative of the company and provided them receipts. Once that transaction was completed, the tennent's rent was legally paid. Any competent judge would throw this eviction out on it's face because legally, this is really a case of theft between the leasing agency and their ex-employee. She didn't steal from the tennents. She stole from the complex.

      I went through the same
Thing single mother of four here, I was staying in a low income apartment brand new the local housing authority didn’t manage the property the owners were based out in Atlanta.
Long story short, the property manager was doing something in the system playing with numbers and stating I owed a balance she did it with other tenants as well and I for sure know she was pocketing money smh I ended up moving out getting evicted I got tired of always having a balance for no reason it didn’t serve of purpose of me being on low income when I’m magically always owing and paying on time. I tried to fight it in court and also sought out legal counsel through a legal aid for low income recipients, and unfortunately had to file bankruptcy because I knew I would have a hard time finding a place after that.
Fast forward this happened in 2019 and then Covid hit…a lot of people try to get over on people that are on low income because they associate low income with illiteracy and lack of knowledge of there legal rights.
I even tried to contact my local housing authority and they didn’t want to have nothing to do with it stating they don’t manage my property. Even tried to reach out to the company and no response, and also HUDS fraud hotline.

Then when i questioned it, i was met with 4 evict notices, false complaints and he took my lease! He gave false references to keep me from renting elsewhere . DHA ( who also practises bias ), alliwed me to keep my section 8.
Ive rented for over 50 years, all my adult life and because i had the best apartment, and instead of telling me the rents are being raised or they didnt want my voucher , and had 50 other properties , he wanted me homeless. A punk kid, who did the same to all seniors

The slumlord is Zack LaRue, with Cornerstone properties and runs Highland Park Apts.
His goal, as with these folks, is to not repair, then evict, rehab and move in full pay tenants ,

While the landlord may not allow them into the portal to pay the rent they still have to put that rent into a separate escrow account in order to pay any and all rent due the landlord at the end of the judicial process. Also they wouldn't have incurred physical distress and mental/emotional distress is a hard thing to prove typically requiring some sort of medical documentation of said distress the shows an onset after the initial event. Saying I cried about it and got mad does not make a emotional distress case. Now, will a judge throw out the evictions, most likely, the leasing agent was acting as a representative of the landlord/property when she send out those messages, took their money, zeroed out their portal AND provided receipts leaving lengthy digital paper trail of proof. The landlord needs to go after her not the tenants.

The apartment manager is required to have a Texas real estate license from the Texas Real Estate Commission. You can check online to see if they are licensed. They need a license to accept fees for a 3rd party, to negotiate or increase rent, and to sign a lease. All leases are illegal fraud, and VOID if they are not licensed. Tyler Police, Bullard, and Troup police officers live in Tyler appartments and receive 50% discount on rent by a criminal operating without a license.Cops get 15 years for accepting illegal bribes. Grande Hill Estates is illegally ran and gives cops a bribe so they don't arrest her. Fraud is a felony. So each lease contract is a felony charge for the manager. Managers are also required to take tenents to small claims court to try to collect rent before reporting to the federal credit bureau. But they can't because they have no license to go to court to collect for a 3rd party. So reporting to the credit bureau without going to court first is slso credit fraud. Another felony charge for a manager with no license. Most apartment managers in Tyler with no license are married to cops. Deer Tree appartments is another illegally ran by a sheriffs wife last I seen. TAA lease agreement contracts are not legal in Texas courts. Only lease agreements promlogated by the state or created by a attorney are legal in court. TREC uses promlogated contracts created by the state. So a real estate licensee can not sign or use a Texas Apartment Association contract without losing theumir license. Real estate professionals use promlogated contracts created by the state. TAA is part of NAA or National Apartment Associstion which is a corporation, and not a state organization. The FBI in Tyler should bust every cop taking bribes or discount on rent from managers with no license. But this is all over Texas. All apartments in Texas are illegal businesses. They don't follow the law. Every apartment manager in Texas needs to have a real estate license to accept rent for a 3rd party, and to increase rent or negotiate a lease.

It's sooooo sad , when BP scam the poorest people in our communities. She knew exactly what to say , to get their guards down . #Single Moms # school clothes . She's as dirty as they come . She knows the single Moms are struggling already . Soo , she decides to push them over the edge of poverty . Oh , I forgot, scammers will scam their own Moms . # karma will take care of her . She didn't care if the kids had school clothes or not , ugh , put her under the jail 😢.

Um, why is this news? This is not an unlawful eviction. Any text referencing "won't snitch" is clearly about participating in something unlawful. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

This is an example of the broken and corrupt legal system in the United States. The landlords need to be held accountable by paying a billion dollars in compensation to the tenants for emotional stress. We must remember that the landlords hire the agent therefore accountability fall directly on the landlord.

This is an example of people thinking they could get something for nothing. They thought homegirl sis was going to hook them up on the sly.
