Foul landlord now has placed a eviction on their record which will be a setback if they decide to move elsewhere. People really cant catch a break out here these days
Im white, 76, educated/ disabled on Sec.8. Denver Housing Authority( 23 years) allowed a landlord, 35 years younger, (a former mgr. of Subway), tried to evict me over $56. Then when i questioned it, i was met with 4 evict notices, false complaints and he took my lease! He gave false references to keep me from renting elsewhere . DHA ( who also practises bias ), alliwed me to keep my section 8. Ive rented for over 50 years, all my adult life and because i had the best apartment, and instead of telling me the rents are being raised or they didnt want my voucher , and had 50 other properties , he wanted me homeless. A punk kid, who did the same to all seniors I am submitting a Civil Rights complaint . The slumlord is Zack LaRue, with Cornerstone properties and runs Highland Park Apts. His goal, as with these folks, is to not repair, then evict, rehab and move in full pay tenants , And like these owners, , they hate the low income .
I wonder what he got paid to do this to you guys? He was obviously hired to do a hatchet job for the company. No qualifications or ethics. Just a huge ego and a willingness to do whatever to be a hotshot "success". I'm sure he will go far with a rotten company like that. 🤬
they will likely win due to the employee working on behalf of the landlord thus they dont owe however they will need to find somewhere else to live which is ok since they dont need to pay rent for 3-4 months since they have been locked out of the virtual portal they can also class action counter sue 4 physical/mental/emotional trauma by being forced through civil litigation processes
While the landlord may not allow them into the portal to pay the rent they still have to put that rent into a separate escrow account in order to pay any and all rent due the landlord at the end of the judicial process. Also they wouldn't have incurred physical distress and mental/emotional distress is a hard thing to prove typically requiring some sort of medical documentation of said distress the shows an onset after the initial event. Saying I cried about it and got mad does not make a emotional distress case. Now, will a judge throw out the evictions, most likely, the leasing agent was acting as a representative of the landlord/property when she send out those messages, took their money, zeroed out their portal AND provided receipts leaving lengthy digital paper trail of proof. The landlord needs to go after her not the tenants.

Who is that stupid. I would have told that leasing agent to kick rocks. Unless I hear directly from the owners in writing, I will not be participating. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is a scam. No one gives you that kind of break for no reason.
Based on the text the agent sent, she literally told them she was stealing the funds and keeping their money for herself? They bargain with a crook and are now left holding the bag. Like my Gma would say, "if it sounds to good to be true, then it certainly is!" 😅
When the lady said , " this is a ME thing ," she basically took her employer off the table . She was then , unfortunately a " free agent ." Even if they sue her , she will never pay them back . But , the court can charge her for theft & put her in jail . The jails are soo crowded, she will get probation. # always listen to your first mind . Even if the person at the office told me some bs I still wouldn't have did it. For one it's just shady as hell. Who could agree to get paid half of what they are owed. Of course the women fell for this obvious scam
My company did it back in 2011. It wasn't a scam, it was to increase occupany during a takeover. It happens, just rare. If they went to the office and confirmed it, it's easy to believe it's legit. Now the company will have to abide by it.
The apartment manager is required to have a Texas real estate license from the Texas Real Estate Commission. You can check online to see if they are licensed. They need a license to accept fees for a 3rd party, to negotiate or increase rent, and to sign a lease. All leases are illegal fraud, and VOID if they are not licensed. Tyler Police, Bullard, and Troup police officers live in Tyler appartments and receive 50% discount on rent by a criminal operating without a license.Cops get 15 years for accepting illegal bribes. Grande Hill Estates is illegally ran and gives cops a bribe so they don't arrest her. Fraud is a felony. So each lease contract is a felony charge for the manager. Managers are also required to take tenents to small claims court to try to collect rent before reporting to the federal credit bureau. But they can't because they have no license to go to court to collect for a 3rd party. So reporting to the credit bureau without going to court first is slso credit fraud. Another felony charge for a manager with no license. Most apartment managers in Tyler with no license are married to cops. Deer Tree appartments is another illegally ran by a sheriffs wife last I seen. TAA lease agreement contracts are not legal in Texas courts. Only lease agreements promlogated by the state or created by a attorney are legal in court. TREC uses promlogated contracts created by the state. So a real estate licensee can not sign or use a Texas Apartment Association contract without losing theumir license. Real estate professionals use promlogated contracts created by the state. TAA is part of NAA or National Apartment Associstion which is a corporation, and not a state organization. The FBI in Tyler should bust every cop taking bribes or discount on rent from managers with no license. But this is all over Texas. All apartments in Texas are illegal businesses. They don't follow the law. Every apartment manager in Texas needs to have a real estate license to accept rent for a 3rd party, and to increase rent or negotiate a lease.
Appartments are required to have fire proof walls between units. Which means cement walls, floor, bricks. But the 2nd floor is made of wood, and the walls. So these apartments even fail inspection and fire code.
So basicly the worker stole their money and was fired, instead of the complex making it right they are trying to get more money out of the victims and didnt press charges against the worker
@@mackcity74gdn89 i think they did. Because why would the office lock them out of their portal instead of allowing them to pay? If they truly owe "double rent", why not allow them to pay? Sounds like a botched plan to get these people out. They were betting they were just gonna leave and not go to the news
I would not have trusted her in the first place. Sorry this happened to them. If they win in court, their lease most likely will not be renewed. They will have to find another apartment.

A punk kid, who did the same to all seniors
I am submitting a Civil Rights complaint .
The slumlord is Zack LaRue, with Cornerstone properties and runs Highland Park Apts.
His goal, as with these folks, is to not repair, then evict, rehab and move in full pay tenants ,
And like these owners, , they hate the low income .
That's just evil. I'm so sorry that happened to you.
I wonder what he got paid to do this to you guys? He was obviously hired to do a hatchet job for the company. No qualifications or ethics. Just a huge ego and a willingness to do whatever to be a hotshot "success". I'm sure he will go far with a rotten company like that. 🤬
🥺HOPEFULLY, KARMA WILL CATCH UP TO AND DEAL WITH THAT EVIL FRAUDSTER, ZACK LARUE!🤬
That's rent for you. You can't be evicted if you owned your own home
That’s terrible. I’m sorry. At your age this isn’t something that should be a worry. Stability is so important. Good luck.
they will likely win due to the employee working on behalf of the landlord thus they dont owe however they will need to find somewhere else to live which is ok since they dont need to pay rent for 3-4 months since they have been locked out of the virtual portal they can also class action counter sue 4 physical/mental/emotional trauma by being forced through civil litigation processes
No they won’t cuz they knew it wasn’t a deal from the company.
You fell for someone saying you only have to pay half rent?😂😂😂😂
If things appear too good to be true then they are!
She knew how to get them with that deal. I feel sorry for them however this comes from not using common sense and being led by money. They need to remember scammers know your weakness is saving or making a buck.
@@dannyellnicole9989 they should have asked for the things to be confirmed in writing!
Right smh via text? Says a lot about these residents
Not funny
Not a single man lives in these apartments… ?? as the single mother crisis rises!
Oh my goodness , people are so evil , how can they look in the mirror after doing this . Shame on them smh . Time's are hard enough theses days without people doing this type of stuff.
The agent should be arrested and placed in Jail....
They shouldn't be need to go to court. The corporation should pay all court costs and compensation to the residence.
Why? The residents were trying to scam the apartment complex by paying half the rent and having the leasing agent say they paid the whole rent.

I was hit with Bell's Palsy August 17th ,2023 I was freaked out. Thank goodness my face is back to normal now.
Exactly why I get a money order make them stamp and initial it. I did the payment online option as well I always screenshot a pic and email it to myself. Keep a paper trial Always‼️
That's why I pay by standing order so on my bank statement it proves in black and white that yes my rent was paid and yes it was paid in full!
***Slow WillieD clap*** that the employee who did this was fired!!!👏👏👏👏
BUT charges need to put on her sorry azz and taken to jail for her scamming these women of their money. Also, ladies, single moms....so many scams out there please check on apartments website before making any moves as you can see EVEN the leasing agent/property manager who works there can be the one scamming you!!
preying on the people with no men in the house
I was thinking the same 🤔 were they single mothers ? All are women of color ….
Maybe they men was working
Soon as I heard 1/2 off rent, I immediately thought A LIE! 🤣
Honestly, I feel they were too glad to be "getting by" to look into it at the beginning.
What kind of BUSINESS does that give you half off rent for that long.
Who is that stupid. I would have told that leasing agent to kick rocks. Unless I hear directly from the owners in writing, I will not be participating. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is a scam. No one gives you that kind of break for no reason.
Exactly. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
You all do a joint case lawsuit..get justice
Pay with a cashiers check. Take a picture also.
Based on the text the agent sent, she literally told them she was stealing the funds and keeping their money for herself? They bargain with a crook and are now left holding the bag.
Like my Gma would say, "if it sounds to good to be true, then it certainly is!" 😅
Single Mom’s!!!
They always fall for the Okie-Dok🤣
Why did that make any sense ,you didnot call the company and get that in writing
I didn't listen to my first mind twice this year & paid dearly . 😢
Whoever is responsible needs to be arrested and fired

Very nice property. I know a complex like that in Illinois so I know it looks nice inside. It would be plenty of messages here if these young ladies were behind on rent but they are not so not much is being said. I pray these beautiful women get justice and many blessings.
Looks like they wanted to get a certain demographic out there complex tbh.
Very sad. My heart breaks for those moms! I wish nothing but the best for them and their families.
She literally says it’s only an offer for people who won’t snitch her out, wth did you expect?
They knew this shit wasn’t on the up and up.
Yeah. They have no leg to stand on. They knew it was wrong.
Exactly! The whole text message would be a red flag for me. Nothing about this message is legit.
That's what Im saying they knew exactly what they were doing now they want to cry victim
Yea once she said “snitch”, that took it to a place where one should know this is wrong. You gotta do some real explaining to get out of this to a judge lol.
Notice theres no man standing next to any of them
Everybody wants something for nothing. You actually believed your rent was going to be discounted 50% ?
Of course not...nobody's that stupid. They new the leasing agent was scamming, they just thought they were coming out on top of the scam but ended up on the bottom. Just be honest and pay your bills in full.
All those people had the same thing happen to them you would think that the leasing company would look into it if it was only one person I could see but all these women something happened to them ‼️
If someone tells me this at my apartments and ask me to give them cash. I would be highly suspicious. Greed is what causes people to get scammed.

That's messed up. My pops told me when I was 11, never trust 1/2 off. You rather get 1/2 of what you want or owning double. But when it comes to housing, always pay the full amount, and if they don't take it, don't spend the money. Keep it and get ready for them to hit you with "Hey you owe xyz." Thanks, pops you was 100% right.

Landlords charge as much as they can, and employers pay as little as they can. What do you expect? Most times it amazes me greatly how I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $63k per month, Utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years that there are lots of opportunities in the financial market. The only thing is to know where to invest…
I agree with you and I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don’t know who agrees with me but either way I recommend either real estate or bitcoin and stocks.
I keep wondering how people earn money in financial markets, i tried trading bitcoin on my own made a huge loss and now I'm scared of investing more
@@izagdlife That won't bother you if you trade with a professional like *Sarah Alma Martinez* my consultant. I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her afterwards. @debbie765 This is the Fourth time I'm seeing someone talking about Sarah Alma as there are lot of testimonies about her, do you know her ? if yes , did you invest with her.?
They should have known that was shady. Same thing happened years ago in a complex i was living in at the time. This woman didn't sent out texts. She just took payments & kept the $, then disappeared. The complex was trying to evict people for non payments.
I don't understand how the company would have any legal ground to go after tenants when they know 100% and have evidence their employee is the the thief?
@lql1094 Exactly. It was crazy for a while. I didn't understand that part either, but I was glad I always paid with a check. They finally sent letters to all tenants about what happened but had already put people out for no fault of their own.
When something sounds to good to be true, its fake!! You should’ve checked with management of the leasing apt Complex first…
You know the foolish are always easily fooled
Go to court. The best you can do is pay rent again but at least you might get to stay. Maybe landlord wants folks out to raise rent for new tenants.
Seems as if that’s what happened here., the owner of that’ property wanted those individuals out., so they came up with a scam and those tenants fell for it.

I’m so glad they are pursuing more action to scam innocent people like it’s so sad to do this when times are rough smh.
Pay the rent as prescribed in the lease period.
the landlord company should eat the charge and let them live that month free. It’s not there fault they hired a crooked leasing agent
Just their fault for falling for the 50% off Rent SCAM to begin with!!!!!!!!

If it seems too good to be true , believe me it is. I just hope these ladies receive Justice and learn from this lesson never to trust anything at face value. Always get more than one verification and make sure if it’s word of mouth make that individual puts it in writing explaining the deal as well as getting a receipt up front. ❤
I do the same pay my shit on line thru the residential portal thru my bank account that’s what you call good receipts from your bank
They can still lie about glitch in the computer. If I were you I will holler at corporate. The devil is on objects and devices as well
Even if the person at the office told me some bs I still wouldn't have did it.
Right if I can't pay through the portal, then I'm not falling for it and ima screen shot that.

The Real Housewives of Tyler TX.
They are going to need a good lawyer, but they will win ! They should sue for pain and suffering as well!!!!!!
they need to get out so rents can be raised.
The leasing office should be responsible, it was their employee who sold the money.
So basicly the worker stole their money and was fired, instead of the complex making it right they are trying to get more money out of the victims and didnt press charges against the worker
she was white
It was an inside job. Not a coincidence that the office refused to comment on the situation.
They never got the money the scammer did
@@mackcity74gdn89 i think they did. Because why would the office lock them out of their portal instead of allowing them to pay? If they truly owe "double rent", why not allow them to pay? Apartments just want their money, they don't want people out.. unless they WANT them out. And sending eviction notice to be out in 3 days? AND THEN refusing to comment on the situation to the news? Sounds like a botched plan to get these people out. They were betting they were just gonna leave and not go to the news

Oh, come on. How could they read that almost illegible text and not know it was a scam?
The company employee stole tenant money. Why would the company think a court would back up an eviction? The rent was paid how the employee told them to pay it, and then stole it.
The company didn’t steal anything the scammer admitted that it wasn’t the company idea it was hers
