Ovens are nothing like air fryers. They are cooked differently. Air fryers literally use air while an oven uses conductors.

Deep fried just can't be beat most of the time. I do love my Air Fryer though, because it doesn't have the mess and care of a fryer. We had a fryer and I constantly had to clean around it, and changing the oil/cleaning it was such a pain. Air Fryer all the way.

The brand of the Air Fryer makes a big difference. Same with temperature and time. Quite a nuanced art but I generally like air fried better than deep fried now that I've got the hang of it

I love it, I was sitting around pondering food questions and wondered if air fried foods taste as good as deep fried foods. After I thought of that I went straight to this channel to search for it because I figured if anyone did it, GMM did.

I have been eating the tails of fried shrimp my whole life, I am the only one in my family that does. I try so hard to convince family and friends that it tastes good. Rhett sounded a whole lot like I do lol

Cons: Deep frying is very messy, and you are left having to clean the deep fryer.
Pros: Deep frying gives an amazing flavour.
Cons: When air frying the fryes tend to get a little bit more dry, not as flavourful.
Pros: Air frying is easy, forgiving, and it still tastes good. And little to no mess!
And lower cals
Or I'd just use my oven

Basically wanted I'd wash my fryer completely maybe every two months and change the oil as often as needed ( depending on what I fry and how often etc but generally lasts a good month if only used for fries, nuggets and these kind of food as opposed to proper fried chicken etc) yep it is a hassle but nothing beats the taste to be fair. I guess an air fryer would be a "more compact and faster ,tidier " alternative to an oven. Yh defo oil for most food in your oven if you want them to taste the same as the deep fried ones !
