- Years ago, I photographed a lot of birds, but somehow that got more and more in the background. When a friend asked if I wanted to join him in a hide, I could not refuse. These are the results of a day in the hide!

I am very happy to hear that your eyes are improving. What a great hide to work from. The Olympus really shines when Photographing Birds. The 150 to 400 is a great lens for this type of work! I have used a portable hide a few times even in the winter with a propane heater. It's great to have some variety of subject matter. Thanks very much for sharing your adventure in the hide!
Thanks. It is indeed a great thing to change some subjects sometimes. I wasn't really satisfied with the results. I think these hide to just don't give any creative freedom. That's something that I like in photography to be creative. Thanks for watching. Grt guido

I don't know if there are more country's that have hides likes these. I know there are a few I'm Belgium but not as much as in the netherlands. In Africa they have some for elephants 😅 thanks for watching grt guido
Good to hear your eye is recovering well. Great video! Loved the footage and those are really nice details on the birds in the shots and incredibly sharp even on the video footage 😁 i see you do more bird photography videos lately, so curious to know if you see it more as a break from doing your fog landscapes or are you finding it more and more enjoyable? 😂 maybe I’m a tiny bit getting more inspired to try it out too 😉 probably a good video I’d be interested to hear from you on expanding interests or genres and getting started.
I guess birds are a bit of a guilty pleasure. And I like to shake things up a little bow and then. Lately, I was feeling a bit uninspired and so i started to search for some different subjects. I did not have much stock for my youtube videos due to the eye problem. I don't think this video would have ever been released if that hadn't happened. Now I have a couple of great mornings in stock again, and I'm starting to feel the inspiration coming back. Hopefully, autumn will bring lots of spectacular things! Beautiful photos! You have to use the lens to do wildlife photography. P.S.: I haven`t seen any photos of an artificial pool that look natural.
Thank you. No, you're right. These pools usually don't look really natural. In a few weeks, I'm going to visit a hide that is built on the shore of a lake. That looks much more natural. Grt guido
Ik herken de hut. Sallandse Heuvelrug. Heb er 3 jaar geleden voor het laatst gezeten. In augustus. Toen hadden we maar liefst 23 soorten. Tijd om hem weer eens een keer te bezoeken!
Klopt idd. Ik vond het niet zo heel geweldige hut. We hadden niet heel veel soorten ( vergeleken met het aantekeningen boekje van de dagen er voor ). Ik vond ook dat er weinig ruimte was voor creatieve mogelijkheden. Maar wel leuk voor de dagje vermaak 🙂 bedankt voor het kijken. Grt guido
@@GuidoVanDeWater leuke video hoor! Klopt idd wat je zegt mbt weinig creatieve mogelijkheden. De vogelsoorten kunnen idd wel heel veel verschillen per dag! Wij hebben pas nog in de Lichtenberg hut van dezelfde aanbieder gezeten en hadden toevallig heel veel soorten. De dag ervoor en erna was het juist heel slecht. Het blijft natuur. Maar leuk om te doen. Zeker als er bijzondere soorten voor de hut komen. Mijn eerste digitale compact camera was een Olympus trouwens! In 1999. 1,2 megapixel en hij vrat batterijen. Zal inmiddels wel anders zijn. Zie vrij regelmatig fotografen met Olympus gear.
@-EvoII- ja als je wat mooir soorten hebt en je kan wat spelen met licht en schaduw dan kunnen die hutten heel leuk zijn. Ja de cameras zijn wel stukken beter geworden! Ik ben zelf begonnen met een om-30 in 1992 ofzo nooit meer naar een ander merk over gestapt 😅

What make is the pc, I am asking because in the last 3 months I bought two brand new ones , first was a desktop made by HP "omen" gaming PC with latest I7 chip that died after almost 3 months(I took it back to the store and got my money back-Costco) and the second one is a laptop Lenovo "Legion" this one latest I9 UHS that it seems to get very hot and slows down to not running at all! I am not gaming at all, I am using it only for photos, very strange. Right now I am looking at an MSI gaming laptop, what do you think about MSI. Thanks alot
Sorry to see that you're running into so many troubles with your computer. I have used the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 for a little over a year now, and I'm still really satisfied with it. It is extremely fast. Yes, it gets warm but never so warm that I see loss of speed. I have the one with the i9 processor 13 generation, rtx 4070 8gb video card, and 32gb ddr5 memory. I expanded the storage with a 4tb ssd, so now it has 5tb storage space. I use the laptop version btw no idea if that makes a difference. Even when processing 4k videos, it doesn't get hot ( indo usually put it on a laptop stand so its a bit higher and cooling reaches the underside). I have no experience with msi but from what I've read is that cooling is an issue with most gaming laptops. But mine seems to work perfectly. Grt guido

Wat ging hier fout?. De kleuren zijn opgeblazen, de details in de veren zijn dicht gelopen. Met deze combinatie zijn bewezen betere resultaten te halen dan je nu laat zien. De video beelden waren nog het beste. Ben benieuwd naar het vervolg.
Hmm ben het met je eens dat het niet mijn veste werk is maar zo slecht was het volgens mij ook weer niet 😅 maar ik was erg ontevreden over de resultaten zelf ik kreeg er weinig inspiratie van. En ik had ook boet de inspiratie om zoveel aandacht aab het bewerken van de fotos te besteden. Tel daar een oog ontsteking bij en je krijgt dit resultaat... volgebde week weer het landachap in daar ligt toch wel meer mijn hart denk ik 😅 bedankt voor het kijken en je eerlijke comment! Grt guido

A beeping camera when a hide???
This was a closed and isolated hide. There was glass instead of an open area. We could easily talk to each other without disturbing the birds. If it was an open hide, you are right. I should have put it in silent mode. It didn't make any difference now. Grt guido
Hoi Guido, ff een vraagje: waarom gebruik jij niet de sluiter met ''silent modus' vooral bij de vogeltjes waarbij je zo stil mogelijk wilt/moet zijn?
Deze specifieke hut heeft glas ervoor en was helemaal geisoleerd. We konden dus ook redelijk praten zonder de vogels te storen. In een open hut had ik dat idd niet gedaan. Bedankt voornhet kijken. Grt guido
@@GuidoVanDeWater o vandaar, maar dan vraag ik m e nog af waarom men de mechanische sluiter prefereert boven de 'stille' , dan heb je ook geen slijtage vh sluitermechaniek, en je hoort niet dat irritante 'geklik'?! Heeft dat dus een reden? Of is dat gewoon wat je gewent bent?
@disjenmgn voor mij is het idd ook exht gewenning en beleving. Als die camera niet klikt heb ik toch minder gevoel erbij. Plus dat je op de silent stand zonder dat je het door hebt zomaar 4 a 5 duizend foto's maak en ik heb exht geen zin om dat uit te zoeken 😅
