What X said at the end will always remain for me one of the most important statements someone coming from hip hop could ever make. It genuinely makes me sad he's not here still, because I know he would have so much more to say about life, people, everything. Rip Jah bro. 🕊️
at the time this video was released look at me was his biggest song by far and riot was pretty small (well ish) so he put look at me at the start to clickbait people into watching the video and then switched it to riot so he could try spread a positive message instead.
The look at me video came a while after the song was released he used the song and start of the video to gain attention for the message he was giving us later in the video.
X put the Riot music video in with the Look At Me video because he knew people will click on Look At Me more so it would get more people to actually see his message
his music and message will never be replicated by anyone else ever again. A truly generational artist who did it his way and never let know one tell him what to do. If you want more songs with deeper means try / Train food, or dive deep into 17 which i believe to be the greatest album ever created its deep and the content of the album is coming from the heart.
It's really unfortunate that there's such a good message, but you have to watch the whole thing to get it and the type of people that would watch the whole thing are already the type of people that understand the message. That said it, was absolutely a great endeavor by X; he was one of the artists that I can say truly felt the message he was putting out while also having good intentions and enjoying his success. It's unfortunate that the world kills people like this so young; we could really use a lot more of the energy he was bringing to the world right now.
RIP X, truly one of the GOATs, yall indeed have heard the 2nd part, Riot. Pretty sure X somewhere said he put the Look At Me video at the start so people would watch this, Look At Me was insanely popular at the time
Yeah so "Look at me" was one of his biggest song. So he made a fake music video using only a little bit of the real song to gain attention so he could put a message in the video because its would gain alot more clicks.
Few months before he died he actually wished he did a alternate ending where he hung the black kid, I can’t remember his explanation but I think he thought it would of been more impactful
Jahseh aka xxx said he wanted to flip the roles so the reason he hung the white kid is because he knew it would make people uncomfortable or upset about it and it was unexpected but if it was the black kid we would’ve seen it coming and not have cared in away so when people seen it flipped it made it to the news and it got taken down but if it was the black kid it would never happen sadly
this video was one of the biggest click baits in history, look at me was his most popular song at the time and the music video was so highly anticipated he knew it was gonna get hundreds of millions of views so he put in the actual message he wanted to tell people. it was so well done he gave people a little bit of the look at me video then changed it to one of the realest songs in history that sadly still rings true today and will for basically ever

X directed the whole music video, he wanted to bring more attention to Riot with the Look At me song
X cared about the youth a lot. Helped me.
