In a game where the objective is to put the ball through the hole, I think an argument could be made for Steph being the best at the 1 even if Draymond is sharing the distribution load with Steph. Let's look at it like this. You're starting a new team, and you can pick anybody, ANYBODY at all for your starting 5. Are you seriously going to start Magic over Curry if, say, Lebron is your 3? Finally, when you're the best shooter ever, and the ball is in your hands, why is it necessary to make an extra pass? Can we really accuse Steph of taking "bad" shots? Steph is not most dangerous without the ball. He's EQUALLY dangerous, and that's why he's great. He's a league leading scorer/star player with a role players mentality and play style.

In football, off-the-ball movement is an essential technique that attackers must master and practice extensively. However, the objective is not merely to receive the ball but to create space for teammates to attack or score goals more freely.
@JWFitness1 if steph isn't #1 then he is #2 PG all time, and people think it's criminal to put him in the same convo as Magic. Guys rank other greats like AI higher than Steph and I think that's disrespectful to how transcendent Steph has been to the game

@@JWFitness1 "true point" and true position roles don't mean much to me. Steph's as lethal off the ball as he is on, and setting up the offense not just for himself but those around him. Magic was lethal on the fast break and would kick it all around to his team, his fast paced offense was just as transcendent in the 80's as Steph's was in the 2010s. They are vastly different but equally impactful. They both revolutionized their "positions" and the game. You could build an all time team around either one of them. Vastly different playstyles to compliment other goats. Personally, I would rather pair Steph's playstyle with MJ's than Magic's, but it's all just hypothetical anyway!
When Steph doesnt have the ball and he is constantly running off of those screens, he is wearing you down before he even has the ball just by you chasing him. Then once he wears you down from chasing him so much through all of those screens. Now you guarding him while he actually has the ball, is pretty much impossible because of how much he has wearing down by him simply not even having the ball in his hands. Thats what LeBron means by Steph being dangerous even without the ball

No it wouldn’t be epic.. the NBA is not going to allow Steph to win 5 championships before Lebron… at least not while Lebron is still playing. All we’ll see is whistle after whistle, giving the lakers free points. Last year, the lakers shot 53 more free-throws than the Warriors. Never, ever in the history of basketball, on any damn planet, had one team shot that many more free-throws than another… and no one batted an eye! Not one Media Talking Heads mentioned it. As long as Lebron won and kept Steph from possibly having a chance at 5-Rings, all was good.
@@yoitsSmitty2004 no he’s not draymond is more of a point guard. Lebron just said curry is the best when he doesn’t have the ball. Nobody plays like the warriors. The amount of split actions they do and all the movement and passing too. They never have a guy in the top 5 in assists per game but are always #1 in assists per game as a team. Everyone passes and moves.
It's very rare to have a guard that can move that well off the ball. His catch and shoot is so quick and so deadly the second you sag off him it's over. Curry is very good with the ball, he's even better off the ball. You don't see that with point guards. You just need guys who can get the ball right back to him to shoot.

Both greatest rival getting best friend in Olympic to represent together for USA and win gold medals simultaneously. Congratulations team USA
if not the No.2 all.time arguably No.1 player in NBA said these things, THEN ITS A FREAKING FACTS..
salute😐😐
You just gotta love this dude... ball knowledge is off the roof
Man, I got goosebumps hearing lebron saying this.
The cavaliers team really studied the warriors team after that 2015 loss
That's why curry and lebron is the best era
Bron with Steph roaming the court would be insanity.
League would shut down😂nobody would want to play them
Facts
Guess we will see in the Olympics
Well get that at the Olympics. I can't wait.
fr how tf u gonna guard both
It's so cool LeBron loves and respects Steph
How do you know it doesn't go both ways
It finally makes sense why Lebron decided to leave Klay wide open when he had the ball than to leave to Steph off-ball in Game 6 of the 2023 WCSemis
I’d live with that
We all know Curry has a better percentage off the ball than Klay.
@@Strawberry-z8kNAILED IT
luv stephs game. elite ball skills. elite off ball skills. elite mid range shooter. elite 3pt shooter plus sick deep range. elite conditioning. and unselfish. i hope he can give us 2 more yrs. his skills and style of play distorts defenses and makes the game so much easier for his teammates. and somehow rn at 36 he may be as good as he's ever been.
The game without the ball is just as important as with it, it allows you to create spaces, stand out, stand out from your teammates and Curry excels in this area, he is unmanageable, constantly moving.
Can’t wait for the Olympics to see Steph and Lebron team up
Wait is here
They won it bro.. And Steph was fire 🔥
Speaks about Steph like Kobe spoke about prime Iverson.
LeBron James is a Basketball Savant!'
They once asked Lebron how do you stop Steph in a post game and he responded "same way you stop me.... you cant."
Steph is not most dangerous without the ball. He's EQUALLY dangerous, and that's why he's great. He's a league leading scorer/star player with a role players mentality and play style.
He is the best pure shooter ever because he shots wherever the ball is given to him
If anyone knows how dangerous Steph is it's LeBron. Dude could easily be sitting on 7 or 8 titles if it wasn't for Steph😂😂
Wrong. Spurs were on their way to win it all in 2017 if it wasn't for Zaza and Rockets would have beaten the Cavs in 2018. 2015 was the only year Cavs should have won if they were healthy.
@@BinnieishereCavs would’ve lost in 2015 no matter what get over it. Cleveland only won in 2016 because: Draymond suspended for game 5, Steph playing on a sprain mcl in his right knee he hurt twice during the playoffs round 1 game 4 and wcf game 7, and Bogut getting hurt the same game 5 Draymond was suspended for. Even if the Spurs win game 1 in 2017 they’re not winning the series and you can lie to yourself all you want
@@YonkoBlackbeard Wrong. Cavs went up 2-1 without Kyrie and Love. That series went down to the wire. Game 1 and 6 Cavs would have won.
Spurs had been beating the Warriors in the regular season and in game 1 they were up by 20 late in the 3rd until Kawhi got hurt. The biggest difference? With Kawhi, they were +28 in team efficiency. Without, they were - 30. That's how good and important Kawhi was. He was dubbed as the best player in the world by most analysts and pundits that year.
@@Binnieishereidk if u remember but Kawhi was already injured. Zaza just made it worse
@@EyeconBeats Exactly and they were still up by 20 and were completely dominating them. The Warriors had trouble against those Spurs all year. Imagine if Kawhi was 100%.
If you honored LBJ you should also honored Curry, cause LBJ honored the guy.
If lebron had steph instead of kyrie, they'd have 8 rings. I love kyrie just as much as the next guy but steph, despite being less flashy, is generally more reliable.
In football, off-the-ball movement is an essential technique that attackers must master and practice extensively. However, the objective is not merely to receive the ball but to create space for teammates to attack or score goals more freely.
LeBron really is a basketball savant, and Steph Curry is criminally underrated - both top ten players all time imo
That’s where most people have the them though !
I don't think Step is underrated??
@JWFitness1 if steph isn't #1 then he is #2 PG all time, and people think it's criminal to put him in the same convo as Magic. Guys rank other greats like AI higher than Steph and I think that's disrespectful to how transcendent Steph has been to the game
@@JasonThomasLionHeart I won't put him above Magic because Magic was a true pg. Step doesn't run the offense like a true point. And Magic was the first big pg. But step got 4 year old kids jackin up 3's. Lol
But I think Step is top 5.

Curry running without the ball is apart of his point guard capabilities that most failed to realize.
If you're in dream and you see Steph, wake your ass up he gon eat your lunch😂😂
I know it wont line up correctly but Bron and Curry retiring the same season would be poetic.
As soon as his eye lids open there needs to be a defender right there
Steph Curry doesn't need the ball in his hands, He just has to touch the ball.
Love how Bron respects Chef
it take s a GREAT ONE to know and understand another GREAT ONE.
There is NOTHING better in basketball analysis, than Lebron James' Basketball analysis. such detail
Kobe breakdowns were excellent as well
The greatest shooter of all time and it isn't close at all!
when doing cardio is actually a defensive scheme
2 of the greatest hoopers ever!
Excellent job Curry he says bye-bye to the ball and straighten net😂😂😂😂.
Kobe figured out his weakness
When Steph doesnt have the ball and he is constantly running off of those screens, he is wearing you down before he even has the ball just by you chasing him. Then once he wears you down from chasing him so much through all of those screens. Now you guarding him while he actually has the ball, is pretty much impossible because of how much he has wearing down by him simply not even having the ball in his hands. Thats what LeBron means by Steph being dangerous even without the ball
Thanks for the explanation. Short Guards have always been underrated throughout NBA’s history…
Steph & Klay running around, knowing the ball will come to them from Green.
Steph plays like Reggie Miller and Mahmoud abdul Rauf.
Best coach and player in NBA history 😅
All the h8 that LeBron receives and yet,
he doesn't allow it to make him bitter.
He gives respect. He gives players and coaches their flowers. Just goes to show you what an individual is capable of when he or she places the mission 1st.

The play in of Lakers vs Warriors will be epic.
Steph needs his revenge for last year!
😂
It was two years before last @@TrueitsGnu
Won’t happen.. they need them for separate views
Lebron just said why Steph Curry is more a shooting guard than he is a point guard.
Thank you. He is a 2. Magic best pg ever
Steph is a PG😂 if that’s the case then Klay is a center😂
@@yoitsSmitty2004 no he’s not draymond is more of a point guard. Lebron just said curry is the best when he doesn’t have the ball. Not just Steph but majority of the Warriors run screen after screen at the 3 like 90% of the time. 😂
Facts, that's one of the keys. Learn how to run through infinite screens.
Nobody plays like the warriors. The amount of split actions they do and all the movement and passing too. They never have a guy in the top 5 in assists per game but are always #1 in assists per game as a team. Everyone passes and moves.

Back in the day « small PGs » weren’t threats from deep !
Yeah most players can’t get going without the ball in their hands. Curry is special
It's very rare to have a guard that can move that well off the ball. His catch and shoot is so quick and so deadly the second you sag off him it's over. Curry is very good with the ball, he's even better off the ball. You don't see that with point guards. You just need guys who can get the ball right back to him to shoot.
Kobe knows how to guard Steph. Ask Lou Williams. But I guess Steph has evolved to that now.
Left a comment criticizing lebron and got a warning I’ll lose the right to comment 😂😂😂😂 this platform really protecting they king 😂
What did you say
Imma bron fan and ain’t nobody protecting that man … everybody has a tough time guarding Steph.
« Protecting » ? What could you possible post here that could be harmful to him or his legacy 😂 ?
Wayne Gretzky was like that. At his prime, people were fascinated by what he did when he didn't have the puck. People were amazed to see him skating away from plays, while somehow creating a scoring opportunity.
That's a horrible analogy to compare a hockey player to a basketball player but then again I get what your saying
Sometimes the greats go against conventional teachings. That's what makes them great.
As a Warrior fan it’s been pretty cool to see Steph and Lebron’s relationship evolve. It wasn’t always love like this. Steph earned his respect at some point during those Finals battles. Started speaking about Steph differently. Steph was annoying everybody when he was coming up. They didn’t feel like he deserved it. They all appreciate him now… 🙌
The funniest thing is it kinda doesn’t feel real that their careers are coming to a close I’ve been watching these to play for so long it’s like I thought it would last forever
