i dont believe that
@BellularNews Have you or will you employ or have employed SWEET BABY INC, for any or all of your games? A answer would be nice before I spend money on your game.
The problem with ubisoft is that they're not doing it for the right reasons, they're squeezing it for quick easy money, not to make the games better, it's their low effort tactic to make up for the annual AC release slop they were doing
Going for profit is not a bad thing inherently.. As Long as its still Bound by validity and consumer's service
Doing it for the wrong reasons is not as bad as what ubi is doing their not even doing they are literally injecting Chinese racism and weaponizing it against Japan and just stealing already made sruff and putting it into ac shadows 🤷🏻🤦🏻♂️ this is not even for cash grab points this is so esg heavy they get their esg money as it is but this will fail financially and is getting a ban in Japan by the fkn politicians like common
Doing it for the wrong reasons is not as bad as what ubi is doing their not even doing they are literally injecting Chinese racism and weaponizing it against Japan and just stealing already made sruff and putting it into ac shadows 🤷🏻🤦🏻♂️
I dont know why people are suprised that they are doubling down on AC IP and are making their studios basically AC sweatshops. AC is literally the only IP next to Far Cry in their portfolio that currently has any value as they killed off everything else. They literally lost 70%(!!!) of value as a company in last 4 years and are profitable solely because grants from Canadian,French and German governments its that bad. Reminder that Ubisoft has more employees than entire Xbox Division combined(ActiBlizz,Xbox Studios,Bethesda AND Hardware/software engineering and more).
Only games that sold well in last couple of years are AC games aka Valhalla/Mirage and The Crew Motorfest everything else at best reoccupied development costs. Them doubling down on AC isnt anything suprising and screams of desperation. If remakes of Sands of Time and Splinter Cell wont be very high quality they will smoke value of their entire portfolio and it seems even they realized that late by taking away SoT Remake from Pune studio and giving it to Montreal branch to reboot development completly.
Ironically enough insane doubling down on AC might also destroy this IP too because they will oversaturate market with those games. If that will happen Ubisoft wont have a single valuable IP in their portfolio lmfao. No one wants to acquire Ubisoft too because as I mentioned above they are massively bloated and no one wants to pick up company as massive as they are thats without mentioning how much they lost in value as a company and how much they rely on government grants.
Guillemot is fucked.
@@doooodeh this was an absolute banger. Are you telling me Ubisoft is prompt up by government grants??
They are out of ideas.
They tried arcade mechanics, they tried calling things AAAA, and.......... that's basically all the ideas they had.
Wait till they get a hold of Kathleen Kennedys play book
They could try hiring some gamer nerds, and-
Oh, right. Those people don't count towards the diversity quotas.
@@Xoruam Exactly. Any nerdy franchise should have some otaku level people there. These people can't even keep canon r ight when they have the freakig internet to help them out.
All the people who actually had those groundbreaking ideas left the company long ago ..because they all got replaced by people who are only focused on marketing products...they have no clue what makes a good product that people want to purchase anymore...
It's just like what Steve jobs said about those big companies that come down crashing because they replace all the talent and think they can still thrive without them
@@Xoruam are you saying only white men play video games? what?
I'm calling it right here and now, once this wave of remastered AC games comes out, they're gonna shut down service for digital copies of the original games, forcing people to buy the remasters or pay for ubisoft+ if they still want access to those titles
Thank god for piracy man. I think I'm finally just done
And thus, we're sailing the Seven seas once again...
They are pretty Mid anyway man, nothing to break a sweat over.
@@renashi0127 Hey, it's Black Flag, so that tracks.
Ubisoft's AC: Shadows exhibition at Japan Expo sums up modern Ubisoft perfectly. Cheap props from Amazon and One Piece Zoro's katana but labeled "Yasuke's katana."
wow that is just beyond lazy
don't forget the copyright infringement they did with Yasuke's sashimono
Well I'm just sad this is what's become of the company that makes my 2 favorite game series. It's hard to take and I have to skip Shadows for what they've done to it.
Isn't there a thing with copying lanterns from a shrine with out their okay to do so?
@@maddworld3317 Assassins Creed used to be my favourite franchise. It's sad to see what they have done to it. The writing, animations, stealth, combat, parkour, story and lore has all been gutted.

Their current games aren't even Capcom remake level, they have no chance of doing this right.
Capcom makes an effort to "modernize" their games and update the visuals among other things.
Ubisoft remasters are literally just slightly better looking versions marred by performance issues. Even Bethesda put in more effort with Skyrim Anniversary Edition.
There's a difference between remaster and remake, they're not remake in the games it seems that they're
remastering.
Capcom did remasters and then they did remake, ubisoft don't have the people and the resources to remake.
Because they're busy with other games like Star wars, far cry and I've got another ghost recon on the way.
The BIGGEST THING that can help Ubisoft's image is to removed Uplay requirement from their single player titles sold on Steam.
That would be amazing, so they won't do it
🤔... No 😅 they can do so.. so.. much more, DRM- free... and.. and... moooree...
Only if they'll hire me 😂
ac shadow killed their image this thing you propose wont help and i actually think uplay thing is not bad, you get to own the game on both platforms for the price of one, this is the main reason all these different stores on pc dont make fn sense, if i buy the same game on pc why dont i own it on multiple stores or if i cant make everything one store lol one upside is some stores might let you keep a game indefinitely regardless, steam is good at this, steam is also good at letting you mod that game etc. but yeah woketivists are killing ubi rn
@@zerooskil7161here's an idea. The store fronts on PC should be for getting the download and a place to redownload with your license. But once it's on the harddrive... It's yours and you can play it offline and you dont have to sign into an arbitrary launcher to play the damn thing. You can just run it straight from where you stored it and that's that... The way all games should be. And the thing pushing me to the 7 seas more and more each day. So tired of this crap
@@zerooskil7161you don't own it on multiple stores, you're forced to have both open at the same time to play the game.
A big cost cut of the AC games is the lack of performance capture. You put any cutscene of Black Flag up against any in Mirage or Valhalla and the new games just don't hold up, they all look robotic and emotionless.
Compare the writing in AC 1 - Revelations to the new games and you will go into total despair.
Bought Avatar, played for 7 hours, I was bored, the cutscenes for the dialogue were awkward at best and felt off. The cinematics were good tho, place is beautiful yet empty with repeat quests and farming of animals for materials which seems against the premise of Avatar.
Gear is best crafted and is uncommon to earn and is rarely found 20 hours in and I've yet to loot more than one Bow. But things got better just not better than a 5/10. Hell Midfeild is about a 6/10 and more fun and the dialogue is better and has more action and immersion. Yup, That's Ubisoft
Yeah the facial animations and generally the whole production and presentation of cutscenes in Valhalla and Mirage is ridiculously bad for today's standards. Like I don't even know how that's acceptable, the cutscenes look horrible even compared to their games that are literally more than a decade old which is crazy. Nowadays, they only sometimes do a proper motion captured and what not cutscenes mostly in the beginning of their games in order to sell you an illusion with first impression but that's pretty much it.
Re-master = just upping the graphics and controls (Which ubisoft does only)
Re-Make = Fully overhauling everything (Which the Final fantasy games are actually doing and capcom with RE) from fixing the story but keeping it as original as possible to fully upgrading the engine and controls.
Thanks Captain Obvious.
@@Krytern To be fair. Have seen a lot of people in the past not knowing the difference.
Then there are the weird gray zone games like Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls where both have the original game logic running, but rendering and audio has been completely redone.
They are not remasteres, but they are not remakes either.
Never support Ubisoft.
They're the least bad between them, EA, ActiBlizzard, and Epic imo. (Although if Epic never POACHED CROWD-FUNDED GAMES FOR EXCLUSIVITY) they'd probably be better than Ubisoft. But they did, so. Also, probably better than Microsoft, too. When did M$ have a good 1st party game last? Gears 3? Halo Reach? Eventually the MCC but like not until 3 years post-launch or something? And look how they massacred Halo but letting 343i and Paramount do whatever they want. Look how they shut down SUCCESSFUL studios.
Honestly, Ubisoft is probably the best of the 5 biggest companies in gaming. Can even kinda bring in Capcom's greed and things like Metal Gear Survive with Konami and stuff.
Look, I'm not saying Ubisoft isn't bad... but to me, they've never been outrageously offensive. When choosing between like 10 evils, they aren't just the lesser evil, they're the least evil... of the evils. But unless you're only going to buy indie... they're the one to be least ashamed of supporting, imo. Unless I've just missed some utter bs.
@@Paradox-es3bl "Get comfortable with not owning your video games." -Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO. Just before they killed The Crew, which still had a huge, active playerbase.
@@dnlkrThat's was not the CEO but the director of their Ubisoft+ subscriptions service that said that. Nice try in trying to spread misinfo though.
That's also not exactly unique among AAA publishers.
Even Steam's ToS basically states that you don't really "own" your games, just the licenses. It's even named as a SUBSCRIBER agreement for exactly that reason.
@@Paradox-es3bl Ubisoft also has not sold the same average thing for over a decade like bethesda and rockstar. They at least attempt to change up titles which they actually release on a consistent basis, elder scrolls 6 when? And over 11 years since a gta came out.. Ubisoft does some shit but they haven't come close in the milking department comparatively yet.
Nothing ubisoft related has affected me, which tells me they shut dead things down. However, I would love to play overwatch 1 that i paid for and no longer exists.
I don't know why people think Mirage is good. I get that it's a throwback to AC1 and a lot different from the RPG ones, that's not a bad thing. However it has technical problems that don't exist in Valhalla. The animations, the interactions with the terrain, the battles, it has issues in all those that we haven't seen in the series in years. Makes me wish it was a Valhalla DLC instead of a standalone game as that would mean at least smoother gameplay.
On top of that you have a protagonist with a very interesting story. Does the game tell you this story? No, it tells about the character's life before the interesting story.
A lot of those problems are because it was a Valhalla DLC rather then a Standalone. What do you think standalone means in this regard?
It uses everything Valhalla does, the problem is The Valhalla system jsut doesn't Work with that style of game and what we got is the result of trying to force it.
It could work, but I doubt Ubisoft has either the talent or the vision to do it successfully.
Im not buying it. I always regret buying ac games almost immediately. They are the same game over and over and over...yawn
I stopped playing them with syndicate, unity was meh and then Google promised me odyssey for free during stadias development but took two years to actually send it to me, and that was that

Ubisoft has no true talent left. They can't create anything of real value now. Instead, Ubisoft tries to remaster games but ruin by attempting to create it for an audience that doesn't exist.
Ubisoft is up shit creek.
I'll never buy Ubisoft again. Give me back The Crew
Love how companies have more remasters and remakes than new releases.
It's like our culture has stopped progressing
Because their new talent are hacks
It's much riskier to experiment in AAA games now. Games aren't cheap to make anymore.
That isn't the case for indie devs.
This is a non-issue for ubisoft, because people will buy their slop without a second thought no matter how bad. They'll make shit tons of money off of bad remakes.
Have not bought any game since origins. But I agree everyone keeps falling for the same traps when it comes to Ubisoft.
Hopefully that stops sometime
I have 0 faith for ubisoft
Finally a man with some sense
I love their games.
Honestly... getting Remakes or Remasters of the early ACs are the only occasions in the last 7 years that we actually got games that deserve that name anymore.
Besides that... this series is a dead carcass that gets ridden by abusive shareholders, untalented developers and leading ranks that try to pander harder and harder towards so called """modern audiences""". And at the side they do the most racist shit ive seen in the past five years and just straight up copy media made by people that at least care for the things they create. (Like the last scandal about them blatantly plagiarising the design from Zoros sword (OnePiece) for their artworks for Yasukes sword...)
Whoever is working on those games anymore - none of them have any respect either for the brand, franchise or for what they are creating. And we will see them fail again and again trying to copy or reimagine the works of bigger people that worked in this company before them.
Imagine being so thick you’re stuck thinking that it’s literally impossible to build a good game anymore and just giving in to just do remakes of the greats. It couldn’t be that we are all sick of live service money -and-time sinks… nope, it must just be impossible.
I don't want current day goobisoft touching their old, good games and turning them into current day ubislop.
I loved those games for how close to historical accuracy they were while being a fantasy part that was never noticed.
Now they would completely ignore what I liked at best, change it to fit their current views at most likely...
I thought "RE Engine" meant "Resident Evil Engine"...

It’s only legit problems was the combat so overhauling it with the lessons learnt from its successors would do fucking wonders for that game.
But at this point, the way Ubisoft seem to treat it like some Herculean task beyond their capability, it scares me how they’ll screw it all up.
tell me your creatively bankrupt without saying your creatively bankrupt. I finally went and blocked Ubisoft on steam. I just do not care about a single thing these people make anymore.
Capcom (mostly) actually gives a shit about their legacy and try to put out quality titles.
Ubisoft legitimately doesn't give a shit
Yeah you can tell just from the quality of the remakes Capcom is putting out that they're not only remaking the games but they're doing it in a way that gets newer audiences to get them and to play the originals. I have several friends who had never played og RE4 but got the remake and loved it so much they got the original also. So by doing a remake in the best way possible Capcom got people to buy the new version and the old version in one fell swoop since they're actually good
"You gotta help us, man. We've tried nothing and are all out of ideas."
Remaking Black Flag barely months after releasing Skull & Bones. Kiss of death from the developer / publisher themselves after 10 years and over $100M spent.
There is one thing in which you can have faith when it comes to Ubisoft, and it's that they will always follow the trends in the worst possible way
I like the og ac with the animus and the mysterious sci fi thing going on, stopped playing when they stopped with that
I have 0 hope for the Splinter Cell remake. They are going to ruin it. They've already said they are changing the story to be more "relevant" to current events. It's going to be awful.
Calling it now:
It's gonna be a live-service game with a battle pass for FOMO leveling stuff, cosmetics, P2W equipment, and emotes.
Season passes will give maybe one or two new missions each and more cosmetics.
You're gonna grind the same missions over and over again to unlock gear that function basically the same.
This is so horrible and utterly disgusting to watch. Between Assassins Creed "You're all racists for not letting us piss on History!", and the ever wonderful "Gamers need to get used to not owning games" they are so screwed.
Out of curiosity what was the first one?
Remade for modern audiences. May as well be making them for unicorn aliens.

In Chess there's an universally believed say:
"a bad plan is better than no plan".

Glad I dont buy ubisoft anymore. They just a greedy desperate company
They want to replace all the franchises with girl/black power.

They wont see a single cent from me anymore after the shit they did with AC shadows
The idea of 2024 Ubisoft developers touching the classic titles is horrifying. Just imagine non-binary Edwina Kenway sailing the Caribbean Sea, on a Jackdaw flying the rainbow flag. No thank you. Better download all of their old, beloved original titles while you still can. Before they disappear entirely, are cancelled, get reimagined for modern audiences, or become subscription-only content - ala Disney.
They have to do something, Outlaws and AC shadows are almost DOA. That's a few another few hundred million down the drain, not including Skull and Bones. And wtf, Another Prince of Persia remake? Ubisoft earned their failure
That's not remotely going to be the case. A mainline Assassins Creed by itself is going to do massive numbers. You're just coping big time.
@@lycanwarrior2137just cause it does numbers doesn't mean it's actually gonna be good. Call coping all you want but the fact of the matter is ubisoft couldn't make a good game anymore if their literal company was on the line. That's been their issue for years now
Only the casual gamers will buy anything ubisoft related anymore
Ive stopped buying games from them unless it onsale for like 5-10$ cuz thats all their games are worth to me i have not been excited for a ubisoft game my entire life
I think they're just doing this to get over the horrible game that is Skull and Bones, and just try again by remaking Black Flag, lol.
@Windchanter420 Probably doesn't have the talent left to make something akin to Black Flag. Personally not the biggest fan of that game but it's pretty impressive for what it is and for when it came out.
What are the chances that they're going to revoke the licenses of the old versions once the remaster is out?
Ubisoft isn't capable of remaking their older games because eventually they will start changing every character into a diverse gay woman (in 1798), and ensure that they pack the remakes full of mistakes & political commentary. I don't see a future for Ubisoft with their current talent and intelligence, and serious political motivation of their staff.
They never learn...
I would love to see a Remake on 1 I hate the mouse control system on PC that is why I have never played it beyond the first mission since it was released.
If they want a big hit they should make a sequel to Black Flag. Not a remake or a remaster, a sequel. With an expansion on the pirate and ship mechanics. And throw in some sort of economy.
Like the years before the opera with his kids Edward? I'd buy that for a dollar
No bro. The people who made Black flag cared about Assassin's creed. The people who would be responsible for a sequel? Not even close. It would be a sloppy fiery shit show.
ANVIL powers GR Wildlands and Breakpoint too which is crazy.
I wonder if they’ll make Altair able to survive the deadly effects of water
Simply they are not paying developers enough i guess.
Thank gaben for the 'hide/ignore All Titles By this Publisher' setting on Steam store.
The AC Unity free running system was absolutely peak for the franchise. The amount of direct control the players has with focusing on running up, down or straight across was the single best part of the game
Black Flag's water animation and ship battles and Unity's parkour(without the shitty console "moving the way i was programmed and not how you want to move" thinking that come to PC port) was the best that ever came out of AC in terms of immersion(i don't count the world building because that's the bottom line).
I will not buy because of one thing. THE CREW. How can i trust if i buy this that i will be able to play it in 5 or 10 years. Ubisoft has burned a bridge thar they can never fix.
Tons of MMO games have shutdown permanently, the Crew isn't unique in that regard.
so the blatant racism with AC shadows was ok?
also what the other guy said... the crew was basically an MMO, those shut down, it happens, thats part of the understanding when you start one up
@lycanwarrior2137 It could easily be converted to a single player. You'd lose the co-op races, but it would have still been playable from start to finish.
@doomedbringer I made my decision before AC Shadows. It had no effect on my decision. Me losing my copy to the crew affected me more than some executive's DEI boner.
Also, the crew was playable from start to finish in a single-player setting. It could've been converted, but they didn't. Instead, they scammed me out $120. So I will not buy another ubisoft product.
Between Brotherhood and Revelations there's a big time gap, so maybe not a follow up but a Revelations prequel would be nice,
It’s almost as if applying the mentality of upscaling a project using the same methods like upscaling a factory or a data center does not work with video games.
Video games is art, not a purely manufactured product
There are so many AC games. A fun little game is to try and list them all by memory, then lookup how many there actually are.
Black flag was amazing - it’s the first game that gave me the true “open world” feel, where I’d just sail around in Jackdaw for hours. I don’t think I’ve seen games like that ever since, and Ubisoft definitely lost their touch.
I'll take remakes in the current 3D form for the AC Pirates game that was on mobile devices and the AC Chronicles series. Basically keep the stories but make a fully realized 3D gamespace.
You know, what pisses me off is that people have been asking for AGES for remakes of some of the earlier games, but somehow, the moment they finally get announced, people are pissed again.
i liked the ac 3 remaster, good value, and the ezio collection is just the 3 games ported with all content
the rogue (remaster) isn't worth it though, literally nothing is different
If , and i say IF Ubisoft were smart, they’d take inspiration from all of the mods gamers have made, and integrate them. Much like they did with Mirage, and side ejects, go nuts. Yeah, make it prettier, but also include some of the great modded outfits, modded parkour, and modded gameplay. I don’t think this would cost them more money, and, if they were REALLY cool, they could give credit to those who worked hard for free to mod the PC versions and improve them in most instances. Imagine some kid, who mods his game, and Ubisoft Soft gives you a shoutout? So much fun
I still maintain that AC peaked with 2 and Brotherhood, and it's only the first three games that I consistently come back to. Black Flag and Rogue are fun, but they're not exactly what I want from an AC game.
Ubi has never done a REMAKE of any AC game. I would love an actual remake of Black Flag, if they added something new and improved to it.
But more than that, I would love to see Black Flag 2.
weirdest thing is i always ignored Assassin's Creed franchise until last year when i decided to try Origins, and i loved that game, but i notice how boring it could be if i wanted to do all side quests and extra things, just like Far Cry where the game bores you and you start to want to play other games, so after i discover that by myself i rushed only in the main quests finished the game, loved the game. And in this summer sale i decided to give a shot and play the games in the launch order, bought a lot of them, and some others i already had from free stuff here and there. So right now i finished AC1, 2, Brotherhood and am in middle of Revelations, these games are pretty cool if you just do the main quests, i am spending like 13 to 15 hours by game, so for me it is fine, i won't climb every synchronization spot, grab 100 random item i don't care, i'm not a completionist i'll just rush to main quests, looks like i am playing a GTA but no cars, but parkour instead, and i'm not tired yet of these games, Ezio and Altair stories are real cool until now.
Okay, I'll say first off we actually could really USE remakes of the AC games. All of the "good ones" are pretty dang long in the tooth at this point and are pretty visually dated. Not to mention they're shackled to a lot of old-gen console port limitations like 60fps cap, limited aspect ratio, and game saves not being backed up by Ubisoft's client.
I totally agree that those games NEED remakes, but at the same time I totally agree that Ubisoft is not very trustworthy for this task.
You should see this Ubisoft's AC legacy push also on Assassin's Creed set featured on Magic the Gathering TCG franchise.
honestly i really dont want them to update the controls of the older games much i hate how the new games play the peak for me with the controls was brotherhood-blackflag
This is gonna be another Forspoken, will go on sale after a month 😂
I would love a Black Flag remake, if they do it properly.
Ubi: We should remake stuff.

Ubi: If you forgot, it's not important.
Soft: Yeah you're right.

I would LOVE for someone to remaster Champions of Norrath with a Steam release! I don’t know how many hours I put into that game…but I would love an opportunity to find out!
The last Assassins game that i was genuinely interested in was Assassins Creed Syndicate and Ubisoft gave it away for free just as i was about to pay for it during a Steam sale😂. I do own Origins but that was through Twitch Prime and im just not interested in playing it.
There's a lot that I dislike about Origins, but there are also some great things about it. The world is amazing and such a joy to explore, and Bayek is a great main character. However, the RPG elements aren't that great, the grinding sucks, the combat is infuriating and Bayek's wife is awful and should not have been written the way she was or taken up as much time as she did. She was also a sign of what was to come in terms of Ubisoft injecting modern day politics into their games, unfortunately. I will say though, at a steep discount at like 80-90% off, the game is definitely worth it just to be able to explore Alexandria, the pyramids and so on.
@@hillehai Bayek is interesting but I don't think he was that great because of the sloppy writing most of the game has and the world, while beautiful, doesn't really have much in it. Not a bad game though. The writing is the biggest issue in my view and took a giant leap of faith after Revelations, more so after Black Flag, and even more so after Syndicate.
I can't help to feel a bit o excitement when hearing about a "follow-up" because that maybe a 1% chance of a Connor sequel
a remaster is a facelift period. Resolution and framerate updates. At most texture resolution bumps. A remake is a RE MAKING the game. Its wild to me people still cant figure this out. The RE games are not remasters they are REMAKES.
The important question is when is Ubisoft giving us a remake of Babyz Party for the Wii?
Personally I wouldn't mind a unity remake or remaster because it would be cool to have that on PS5 which I honestly think it was made for and needed a couple of more years of development with all of the bugs that came out of that game plus the four-player co-op was interesting I wish they kept that mechanic going forward
I wish they'd just focus on snb, i do believe its got something there
Black Flag was the last time I held any positive regard for Ubisoft at all. The game was incredible. It just needed MORE. They could have beaten Sea of Thieves' dominance in a pirate genre with some continuations.
But this is Ubisoft we're talking about.
Yeah but its still Ubisoft. They are still a bit iffy.
And don't forget it is still UBI. They will make the remakes to fit them in this Infinity Hub or Animus or how they will call it. They will have them in there to monetize them more. If you now go back and play AC 3 or Black Flag from your Library they don't get money and they don't have anything they can try to sell you (or try to force you to buy it, for example by making gameplay mechanics worse on purpose to sell you a temporary solution via cash shop). We also know they plan to bring different passes to this Infinity Hub or Animus thing, like battle passes, season passes, character passes, what and how they will do, time will tell but we know it is the plan to bring more and more FOMO driven monetization to the Assassin's Creed Titels and it is UBI so if they do remakes they will make it to monetize the games like they will monetize the new ones. So we can expect cash shop items for all remakes and "reasons" to buy the heavy overpriced items.
The question is will they do the "the Crew" move again and simply steal all licences of the original games from everyones UBI account to force us to buy the new remake editions if we want to play the game.
I wonder how will it sell. Common folk just don't care about such controversies.
It came out that UBISTEAL apparently just STOLE Yasukes Katana.
It's the SANDAI KITETSU from ZORO (ONE PIECE) and the artwork is also stolen from AMAZON PRODUCTS.
I could see remakes of the old Assassins Creed games working, but I don't see modern Ubisoft being able to give them the care they deserve. For instance, with how AC Mirage: was so heavily religiously charged, I feel like they'd try to shove a lot more of the religious aspects into the Assassins, when for most of what we know about the Assassins is that they've been a largely secular group for most of their history.
I already played these games. A lot of the fun for the AC series is each game being in a new area. I have zero desire to replay the old ones. Ubisoft has terrible management.
Well, the future sure isn't in new entries with the way they are going about it, that's for sure....
I hear "Ubisoft are doubling down on a practice they're not very good at" and my brain goes to DRM for some reason.
Capcom while remaking their iconic resident evil series tried everything to make it better (except for RE3 remake). Ubisoft have no idea what they are doing. Don't even mention DEI intervention. Ubisoft is going down.
AC could very easily make bank on faithful remakes... but they won't do that. They will "modernize" the games. They have already said that. AC1 remade with original voices and nothing changed besides graphics and MAYBE some control mechanics, easy buy. Ubi's remake/remaster of AC1 would probably have gay dudes everywhere.
Ubisoft has a golden goose and they keep killing it in hopes of huge payouts but it turns out to not be filled with gold... but they still make a shit ton of money lol
For me Ubisoft died with AC Black Flag and Far Cry 5 they were the last titles I really had fun with
Ubisoft only deals in releasing games with tons of useless padding and tower climbing. Pure garbage
