Power of the internet. I can explore Stonehenge without going to Europe!
ok
John Carter England is a city
John Carter I am talking about meme because of this person‘s ignorance. xD I wouldn’t be surprised, if there are people who actually think that England is a city.
I know I'm quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released series online?
acho que era um aeroporto de disco voadores.
THIS IS SO AWESOME! I would never imagine that you could be interactive like this in a youtube video. I wish more educational videos could use features like this more often.
Stonehenge is a beautiful monument of history.
This has to be my favorite video from this channel so far!
Okay... this... is... AMAZING!
I been here twice, it was the first thing i did when i got to the UK, i visited it again last year, it has been redone with a new entrance and visitor center/gift shop. You now must be taken to the circle by a bus. I think it's a better way to preserve the site. It is amazing seeing in person. I hope i can go back and actually get inside the circle. I feel a great connection with this site. I love it.................
That's so cool !!!!! I really like this way to learning. Many thanks. 😍❤

Visiting Stonehenge was on my bucket list. Got to do both last June. Stonehenge was a bust--you can't get close to the stones and there's not even any kind of "vibe" coming from it. Nothing but a tourist trap now. Very disappointing.
The other side trip was the London Eye which was very fun.
Mnshallh
hola que padre
epico
My trip is stonehenge
anyone from Foundations christian Academy Austin here. see you on friday
Here's my theory about the trilithons and archaeo- astronomy. What if the ancient priest astronomers built the trilithons so that they could stand on them as elevated observational platforms? All you need are basic ladders to get up there.
Has anyone considered this as a possibility? What could you see from the top of the trilithons? What alignments are possible across Salisbury Plain and Wiltshire from up there?
you sound like the actress from my foreign language English textbook recordings
very good article but speak too fast so read slowly
I was there in 1976, when you could still walk around among the stones. I have touched them, for what it's worth. When she said "graffiti" my eyes lit up, but it wasn't the one I hoped. On one stone, carved into the rock, there is a sword and the number 20 ("XX"); etched there by an idle Roman soldier from the XX Legion. Graffiti no less than "Kilroy was here" (for those who know the reference).
It looks like Serious Sam mission. There should be dark sky with lightings and bomb-guys with "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" coming from everywhere
Funny how the idea of Stonehenge having a "Sacrificial Stone" was started in 1776. I'm guessing Stonehenge had a few uses besides as a calendar since graves were spotted near it, however, it was probably a burial site and not a sacrificial alter! It's sad how people were vandalizing things they found thousands of years ago... but it sounds about right.
Is it an old calendar?
Yeah, I think this video was better than £60 to get in.
Amazing but not long enough to do it justice.
you guys see the cars driving by in the background?
Is it a power plant??
What did you use to record at 360⁰ ?
LifezLife you can use streetview app in google playstore
+LifezLife We used a Freedom 360 GoPro mount to capture this.
@@EnglishHeritage english heritage is a fancy way of saying thieving bastards
This is an amazing video. Thank you ❤
But while I'm watching this, I'm getting strange looks from people....👀😳
0:18 , what is hidden under that solid rock?
An iron structure that the fake rocks were built around in 1950. simply research this without resistance upon the software your brain runs and uplinks from.
If you follow the river away from henge and the avenue, westward, you come to a village called lake,Salibury to the avenue was used by seafairing traders at certain times of year it was accesable by boat back then.lol.
That’s transformers 5
the stones were moved a lot from the victorian period up till the 1920s in ''''restoration''''' efforts.
kind of ruins it
Huge stone replacements took place in the 1950's as well.
I was there once, this video is almost the same feeling, but I recommend that you can open a fan to high and facing the strong blowing wing from the fan during you watch this video. (I visited at Jan there was so bloody cold)
İf you want to see a real temple you should go to gobeklitepe
what the meaning of stonehenge....
it's a an early clock/ calendar
No one knows for sure, it's a mystery
here because of Spinal Tap
1. It's not most famous
2. Its not an ancient monument but a modern interpretation of how the site might of looked.
..The original site looked nothing like it and was taken away to clear the ground for an engineering project, afterwards all stones collected at and around the site were reassembled in most visually pleasing way.
Bollocks.
are you serious?
One more interesting fact about Stonehenge ua-cam.com/video/67rIyJMIg38/v-deo.html
You just saved yourself of an overexpensive entrance fee.
The only thing "mysterious" about Stonehenge is people's belief in it's importance.. what if some farmer started to build the structure of a new house, went off to fight in a war or crusade or maybe an enemy nation invaded but either way he was killed & never returned to finish the build... His heartbroken intended along with his family left the stones in place as a memorial to him?🤷🏼♀️
The idea that there's no documentation, record's or any mention of it in any local historical records itself is enough to make me think it had no importance at the time & it's just make believe, storytelling & some kind of prank that's caught everyone over the years.... People go daft over it 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
This will probably get lost in the comments, but when I’m home alone I like to lie in the garden and pretend I’m a carrot
And my favorite color is seven, cause I like my soup.
I hope you enjoy that experience
Mini "Stonehenge stones is the world's most" Egyptians hold my kushari lol
This is called making story out of nothing. We have buildings, monuments, temples that are thousands of years old in India and perhaps there is plenty of info to be uncovered from them, and no one seems to be as interested as Stonehenge
Stones are way cooler than temples or churches. And that is a very common opinion - stones belong to nature, buildings are just manmade industrial pieces.
There was no 360° view.
ughh im using this for school HOMEWORK JUST GIVE ME THE ANSWERS AND SHUT UP
The Druids slaughtered and sacrificed humans and animals at stonehenge ! You can Thank the Druids fo Halloween tradition ! Archaeologist find many bones charred and burnt at stonehenge !: Why ??
All lies.. you people need to do ur reeearch
no english heritage there the are german stone hendge is not
what?
English heritage is fine if its actually English but anything older than 1500 years old is not English its Welsh/BRITISH its like calling the great pyramids of Egypt English heritage
Strange how the welsh have done fuckall in the last 1000 years.
It’s in England Gwyn….hence why it’s looked after by English heritage
Fake henge.
What's fake about it?
Rather boring.
This question is for "English Heritage" directly...no ignorant or arrogant internet troll comments...English Heritage: what right do you have in having any sort of control over stonehenge..or any historical marks in Wales? Shouldn't the name be Welsh Heritage instead of English? England should be in control of their OWN country's historical places, but leave the Welsh to deal with their own country's historical places. Think England has done enough by placing an English idiot as the "Prince of Wales" even though he is not Welsh. English Heritage should be based on the ENGLISH heritage..Welsh heritage in the country of Wales.
Stonehenge is in England though.
English heritage doesn't have any properties in Wales. The Welsh equivalent is Cadw.
Idiot
Stone does not mean stone age, OKey?! Stonehenge apparently is not that old, there was no man at stone age, on that pathetic island
It was built during the neolithic age, which means "New Stone Age". For that matter there have been artifacts and footprints from the paleolithic. People were there before AND after the ice age.
this is boaring
It's a long way from being the worlds most famous, Englands most famous certainly, but not the world, get over yourselves.
1:10 reminds me of the Doctor Who episode and I love it whole heartedly...
And for those searching: Pa74e8oAvIM?t=19
