Walt Disney is a great example of what can happen when you never give up! I grew up watching his cartoons, etc. I loved them as a child and had great respect for him as a person.
Nothing has ever worked out for me, so now I don't even try anymore, and everything has been working out just fine. LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS... and have succsess!
This is probably the most influential thing ever on my life. I wasn't really a Disney fan before seeing this movie, but after I saw it for the first time, I wanted to know everything. I always wanted to be an actor, but after seeing this, it was like "I'm GOING to be in the film industry no exceptions. Because if a kid can go from eating out of trash can to becoming a star, I can too." "First, think. Second, believe. Third, dream. And finally, dare." - Walt Disney
It is such an incredible and most influential movie! I have started and building my own media corporation and it will as big as Walt Disney’s but even better! “Work hard, pray, and dream! “ - Lauren Munro
Loved this movie. Thought it was amazing how Walt never gave up through the hard and bad times. Letting his dreams never fail at the wonderful imagination that brought happiness to so many people. Thanks to everyone who made this movie, I enjoyed it.
I watched this film for my eighth grade exam, I think it’s an exciting film and to think that the story is true makes me shiver, to quote one of his words that I have in my heart: "If you can dream of it, you can do it".
Many thanks for making this movie which throws light on the early life & struggles of Walt Disney, whose cartoon characters we're all familiar with, growing up !! Knowing the life & struggles of the man behind the creation of these much loved characters, helps us better appreciate the Man Walt !!
"If you can dream it, you can do it" - Walt Disney Walt Disney is the reason why I want to make a studio. I've been drawing for a long time and I have improved a lot of my skills. I have dreams to become an animator and voice actor as well. I wanna make people happy.
I was born in 1942 so I saw everything 'walt', and of course there was the newsreel. As I was going to see Dumbo, when the newsreel started, I was blessed to watch the Coronation of Queen Elisabeth II. So sometimes really great things happen in our lives. I saw her come in and I saw her go out. Thanks Sentebey in USA
1:30:55 I love this movie, but man, I really love this scene. Firstly, it starts off with that great line "Do you really think there will always be a Walt Disney Studios?" As a Disney fan that line hits so hard especially out of the context of the movie. Disney has been through God knows how many ups and downs over the years and, sad to say they're in a bit of a dip right now, but no matter what they've never given up and have always found a way back to their feet because no matter what their is still greatness to it even if its buried deep inside something. Thus the answer to that question is yes. But then secondly there's that amazing moment where Ub Iwerks has the chance to leave Walt but he stands his ground and remains loyal to him, only to have another great moment where George turns to him and says "So much potential." I don't even know if those behind this movie intended this, but it hits hard knowing what becomes of Ub Iwerks's legacy and how he is almost forgotten to history. And the crestfallen expression on his face makes it seems like he knows that's gonna happen to him and is thinking "What if?" Could he have had a bigger legacy if he didn't make the decision he did, but the flip side of that is, today his name still reverberates through the ages 10 times more than Fred Harman and Charles Mintz.
I watched this a lot because Disney inspired me. I know Walt Disney failed once, but he didn't give up. He keeps on trying. When he created Mickey Mouse, it became a global smash hit making Walt Disney Studios and Mickey Mouse popular. I cried in the ending song because Walt Disney inspired me to never give up and keep trying. Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney is my heros and idols. That's why I have Walt Disney's quote tattoo along with Sorcerer Mickey Mouse tattoo on my arms to show how much Disney means to me. Disney and animations is my passion, my love, my lifelong friends, and family. That's why I'm continuing loving Disney and animations as long as I live.
Wow, I never would have thought Walt Disney went thru those trying times, in the beginning. But like he said you will make mistakes trying to fulfill your dreams. And it's so interesting how when he would reach rock bottom, God would present him with an idea he made money off. Just like Abraham about to kill his son, in that last moment, God showed him the ram. And I believe that's how it happens now, when you've done all u can, don't give up, because your blessing could be right before you. I was about 5 when I first saw Walt Disney on tv, about 1964. And our first tv, black n white, the first thing I turned it on was Mickey Mouse, and tv was like my best friend. I instantly loved Walt Disney, loved his voice, and his smile seemed to light up the room. I thought he was the nicest man I'd ever seen. It's just amazing to see his beginning that he turned into an empire. Thank you, Mr. Walt Disney, for all the joy, and beautiful colors you brought into my life. RIP
This is so excellent! Thanks for the upload! Ive got tears in my eyes at his success and adversity and Real Success. As always, Disney gives HOPE and Love.
From the first F bomb in a movie to the decision to call employees casual temporary which meant fewer or no perks, the focus was, and is, on the bottom line.
I love this great movie about the life and times of Walt Disney played by Thomas Ian Nicholas from the movie Rookie of the Year in 1993 in the role that he was born to play Walt Disney in the film what a terrific cast including Jodie Sweetin from Full House!!! Walt Before Mickey is the best movie and great story line about the man who had a vision to build his own animation studio and became one of the most successful man in the world!!! Sometimes when you hit rock bottom your dreams don't or do come true!!! Thanks so much for posting this video I love it!!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳😀😀😀😀😀😀😀💐💐💐💐💐💐♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Just so you know, David Henrie (the man who played Justin Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place in the late 2000s - early 2010s and could eventually play characters from a company I’d be more than willing to make in the future as the antagonist of The Celestial Effect, Triton Powell in PowerBursters and himself in The Ultimate Daredevil (me) Movie duology), looks more like Walt Disney than the character (or person the century ago) he played (Rudy Ising).
We knew as children that the violence on those beautiful cartoons, are meant to just enjoy, not to act out upon. I'm in my late 60's & I was 8yrs old when my siblings n I 1st enjoyed Disneyland. Padre God Bless him, his brother, familia & everyone that helped build his dream. 🙏
I find it ironic that in 2023 Disney prides itself on being squeaky clean. But all the characters in the movie, including Walt are puffing down one cigarette after the other. Suppose it was the reality of the time. Great documentary!
What a great movie! And brilliant man Walt Disney was. In the mivie he's talking about his dad never giving up, that's how Walt was. He never gave up, must begin the genes. His Mom was amazing too. Thanks for this movie. My 1st time seeing it !!! 😊😚😙😃😘😄😍😉😁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤✌
It's definitely sad. The creativity that flows out of every crack and crevice amazes me I just wish the company would have kept out of politics and agendas of special interest groups and just carried on the legacy.
Incredible how many animation giants are in this movie😍😍😍😍 I mean....Hugh Harman, Friz Freleng, Rudolf Ising, Ub Iwerks, Charles Mintz....the golden era of animated motion pictures
That was so good 👍😊. My father work for Disney Land in LA. Mom and us would take him to the airport in (or near) Orcut California. Once we picked him up in Burbank California, I was about 7. I was enthralled because when motoring under the road way bridges in old LA area, I saw some butterflies I was trying to collect. On one trip to Burbank my mom had some fun 😊; on the way back home she and a truck driver were continuing passing one another with honking of horns. Mon never explained that to me.
1:35:20 But he didn't. Oswald was owned by Universal, not Mintz. In fact, one of the last things Disney said to Mintz was, "Protect yourself Charlie. Because if they did it to me, they'll do it to you." And they did.

Snowwhite, Donald, Mickey, Cinderella, Fardinand the bull, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 dalmations, Aristocats, the Jungle book 😊😊😊❤❤❤The Lion king, The little mermaid, Fantasia, Aladdin and many more. ❤😊
