Mohg is one of those bosses where you really feel like you've hit a point in videogame difficulty where being good, even really good, just isn't enough anymore.
I beat him first try so idk what you mean lul. I only had one flask left after Nihil*, but I noticed he was losing health, and then just avoided and outlasted him. Great boss though. NIHIL NIHIL NIHIL I would take what you say and put it for Melina, but I'm also having the time of my life smashing my head against that brick wall.
@@Jsay18 Personally switch mohg and Malenia experience for me, mohg took over a 100 tries, malenia took 9. Though i admittedly got lucky with waterfowl dance on my win, she only used it 4 times.
I think it’s interesting that Morgott makes no mention of Mohg when he calls the other demigods traitors, like it makes sense Mohg wouldn’t have his own throne but he’s just as much a traitor to the Greater Will and Golden Order as his brothers and sisters

Actually, Mohg's lore is nearly as tragic as Morgott's. But he has turned against the Erdtree. He chose the path that was fair for him, after this shunning, tormenting and shaming he wanted revenge, unlike his brother. So he dicided to form an alliance with another Outer God, that would accept him and the Omens, he fully embraced his curse. When whole world thinks that you are evil and should be killed or shunned to underground, why not become evil, as they think? So he became evil. This theme even feels like choirs would want that revenge.

One of my favorite fights in this game. I like how all of his moves are readable even if they have weird timings, and also how you absolutely must manage the space in the room or you'll eventually die to bloodflame... it's just great.

God the art for this video is sooo good, I love when a drawing or animation uses color in unique ways like changing stuff to silhouettes or exaggerating color of characters/environments
So alike yet so different. With Astel and the star beasts, they nailed the "eldritch" theme but did it in a way that is completely unique to Elden Ring rather than Bloodborne, which just shows how wonderfully creative Fromsoft can get. Meanwhile, Mohg and Rykard are perhaps what Bloodborne's endgame may have featured if the direction kept with Gothic Horror rather than veered into Cosmic Horror -- demonstrating that Bloodborne was going to be brilliant and full of memorable adversaries no matter what kind of story they sought to tell.

The Hunter transforms into their Great One form, The Tarnished, sees this:' OH S%#@!' 'Never mind then!' She asks:' How can we help my brother?' Tarnished:' Maybe cleansing him with Celestial Dew, that stuff Radagon used when he married Rennala, then putting him back into his Haelig Tree?' 'We can start with that!'
This guy deserves to be in the DLC, he's got everything to make a fantastic final boss and Main Antagonist. Incredible battle music, cool weapon, downright satanic appearance, and some of the most twisted and fucked up lore in all Fromsoftware games history. Mohg is the closest thing to the Devil as you'll get in Elden Ring, the raven wings, the horns, the army of vampires and golems who kill in his name, and the fact he kidnapped his own brother to be his bride, but not before torturing and experimenting on him, leaving Miquella in a braindead state, during which he straight up rapes him, all in hopes Miquella will one day rise as an undead, unholy monstrosity that will destroy the world so it may be remade in Mohgs image. He should've been the villain, not Elden Beast, I seriously pray we get more of him in the future
This'll go good for a specific boss in my campaign. A secret boss located in the deepest level of a dungeon, locked away. If the party enters the cell, a fight will begin against Finley the Traughen Warrior. Essentially, he was a human turned vampire in a horrible miscalculation in a ritual he performed. He feels that fate has robbed him of his glorious evolution, so he feels it just to rob humans of their skins in a twisted sense of deserving. "I will take what I'm owed."
I hate that we don't have Moghwyn Dinasty ending, the dung eater gets an ending WHY NOT MY BOY MOGH, . It makes sense since bleed is so prevalent in Elden Ring.
In no hit runs nihil does not count as a hit because you take damage no matter what yes there are ways you can kill hin before he does it but that wuld heavily limit run diversity

I want to do a lands between dnd campaign, and ngl.. doing a spin on the story with mohg seems fun, especially considering I can do a half decent impression, very fun to play with in dnd mechanics too
This man massacred me, like god damn he humbled me with that super OP ability of his, when he stabbed the sky my HP went down faster than me dying to Melina. He was the 2nd hardest boss for me and the reason was because I played the game without spoilers of items, abilities, or anything except the location of hidden bosses. I literally had no way to counter that attack ( when there was literally a SUPER EASY WAY TO AVOID IT AND SUSTAIN NO DAMAGE) I had to get past his first phase and then survive that ability drinking the instant it drained my HP sacrificing 3 useful HP flasks, and leaving me with fewer than 5-4 to fight his 2nd phase which was super aggressive, drained the hp with the area and every hit, and had long range and quick attacks that also had delay, which meant that every attack given to him would hurt me despite me not being hit. It took me a while but I felt so F*CKING GOOD when I beat him, only to learn then there was an easier way to beat him 😅😂, rewardless what a painfully awesome fight!!!

Not at all. Mohg just wanted Miquella to accept him as his consort, so he can get to Erdtree and replace Marika, and Mohg would rule the Lands Between.
Nothing is more menacing than him holding his staff with both hands and performing his ritual midfight. The aura, the NIHILS and the panic as you try to heal it off. Malenia's Waterfowl looks like child's play in comparasion.
Once I believed Mohg was difficult but then I tried using bleed dual curved swords and the powerstance jump attack spam, w/ damage enhancing talismans and the lord of blood exultation. Conclusion: cheesed him without triggering the second phase.
I was building up hype for this boss for fuckin weeks! Listening to this song made me finally get the game for pa4, where I then proceeded to binge the majority of the game in 3 days. After all that time, all the wait, all that buildup and prep, I finally made it to Mohg. Aaaaaaaaaand I beat him before he even got to phase 2. Didn't even use the wonderous physick. One word to describe that: Sadge
Mohg's power, edgy as it is, is rather cool. Just poke the air with your oversized dinner fork, or just your hand if you can't be fxcked, and presto. Free fire damage that somehow lacerates.
On a funny note, how much would Offneir, that prick at the Roundtable Hold, crap himself, if The Tarnished was like:' Hey! This guy said YOU were a joke, a brain-less oaf, among other things!' Mogh just strolls in there! I can imagine his reaction, and it'll be PRICELESS! 🤣

In my first battle with mohg i was alredy in my way to defeat radagon, i literally just summoned a clone used mohg's heart and spammed destinrd death, he didn't get the chance to get to the second phase

My thinking is that Morgott isn't even aware that Mohg is a traitor, he possibly thinks that Mohg the Omen down in Leyndell's sewers is the real Mohg.

Once I believed Mohg was difficult but then I tried using bleed dual curved swords and the powerstance jump attack spam, w/ damage enhancing talismans and the lord of blood exultation.
Conclusion: cheesed him without triggering the second phase.
The fight wasn't even fun. I swore to only use this if the boss is borderline unfair.
I was building up hype for this boss for fuckin weeks! Listening to this song made me finally get the game for pa4, where I then proceeded to binge the majority of the game in 3 days. After all that time, all the wait, all that buildup and prep, I finally made it to Mohg. Aaaaaaaaaand I beat him before he even got to phase 2. Didn't even use the wonderous physick. One word to describe that: Sadge
