Stonehenge, Avebury & More | Travel Vlog

Avebury, Stonehenge and Associated Sites! A massive UNESCO World Heritage site spread over miles of land, with dozens of prehistoric and neolithic sites to explore and learn about. in this video we are on a day trip to Avebury, Stonehenge and a small selection of other associated sites in the area (Silbury Hill, West Kennett Long Barrow and the Cursus Barrows).
Everything visited in this video we saw in one day trip, we began by exploring Avebury Henge (the largest stone circle in the world) and the small village of Avebury itself, before heading around 3 miles south to Silbury Hill (the largest manmade hill in Europe), and then we drive around 30 minutes south again to the famous Stonehenge before returning to Avebury to see West Kennett Long Barrow (one of the best-preserved Barrows).
All of these sites are owned either by English Heritage or the National Trust which means if you are a member of either or both of these everything is free. Avebury stone circle is free anyway, there is a small museum called the Alexander Keiller Museum which has a £5 entry cost if you are not a member, Silbury Hill and West Kennett Long Barrow are free, although Silbury Hill car park as a £2 parking charge. The only expense is getting close to Stonehenge but if you are not an English Heritage member and don't wish to pay you can get fairly close to the Stone Circle for free (all prices of different Stonehenge experiences are listed in the video)

There are so many other associated sites we just didn't have time to visit in 1 day but we would love to go back in the future and explore more, so let us know if you want to learn more about the amazing area of Wiltshire and these mindblowing monuments!

Great video Alex! We went to Avebury a few months back and it's such a cool area! There was a lady at the trees at 3:00 and she scared the hell out of me! Thought she was a guardian of the stones 😂
