Goodrich Castle & The English Civil War

Goodrich Castle, located in Herefordshire and often referred to as the "noblest ruin in Herefordshire", "the most splendid in the country", and "one of the best examples of English military architecture". So join us as we explore this incredible castle.
Goodrich was founded in 1101 by an English nobleman named Godric Mappeson, the first 500 years of this castles life were relatively peaceful, being passed around from generation to generation and slowly being built into one of the most impressive architectural castles of its time. This castle met its destruction after an epic 2-month long siege during the English Civil War in which we can see much evidence of today!
