Then the diluted acid is passed through the next absorber to dissolve more Hydrogen chloride gas. The final product is 36% Hydrochloric acid will be sent to the storage tank.
You do not need any ice for this process. I made yellow concentrated fuming HCL (37%) a few times and yes, the erlenmeyer flask does get extremely hot but as long as you don't touch it, it will be ok.
Hey u haven’t set the right apparatus if u want pure hcl u can use distilling appparatus add those salts and then boil of alll the water with hcl present , I’m sure that hcl is present in the appparatus and the salt produced is unpure
Why use water to dissolve the HCl in? In other videos I’ve seen hydrogen peroxide used, so supposedly it works better. I wish I could test this, I’m just waiting for lab supplies. Maybe you could make a video testing this?

The reaction with aluminium is slowed down by the layer of oxide on the Al surface, try a reaction with iron, it will go much quicker.

If you don't take the tube out when the gas production stops, the water will get pulled back in the flask.
Why is your acid not concentrated? It would be interesting to see you make concentrated HCL 37% which I made quite easily once.
