I love how personable the Danish Royal Family is. They're not afraid of showing emotions, going as far as kissing one another in a formal ceremony. That is a great welcome contrast to other stuffy uptight royal families from other countries.
I love watching this even though this occurred so many years ago. Even though this (Handel's) music is normally for coronation, it carries enough grandeur for this occasion!
On the balcony, Mary noticed the people are cheering out loud after the first kiss, she just thought; " Ok people, today I'll give my best that people suffer hoarseness tonight at home"... She kissed and kissed...It was so romantic what she did...
I think Mary and Fredrik make a great looking couple. Obviously, she is beautiful, and he is very handsome, but he looks like he's at least a decade younger than he really is. It's great to see a royal couple who got married because they love each other and not because some family member coerced them into it, like Charles and Diana. I hope they are together "until death do them part" and because of the way they feel about each other, I think they have a really good chance of doing that.
Princess Diana has been dead for a lot of years. You may want to avoid criticizing her as she’s not here to defend herself. She said at the time & later on as well that she was very much in love, nervous yes, doubtful yes, but very much in love. I wouldn’t speak for either except like I say, she’s no longer here. King Charles is so he can speak for his own self. Also, they had two children who also hear and read comments. It has to hurt them to read things like this. No one ever truly knows another’s heart. Beautiful Wedding! They look wonderful. I just wish she had her hair down or at least partially down so we could see the Tiara & the Veil as well. They blended together and got lost in her full hair. It would’ve been a softer look but it’s hard to know what to do as you have so many people telling you what they think. You can’t please everyone but I believe that’s what happened as Crown Princess Mary always looks fantastic. People just can’t stop themselves from giving advice to a nervous Bride. All they should do is just tell the bride to relax, there’s no wrong way and please herself only. She’s a beautiful woman so there was no danger of her being seen anyway but beautiful. She’s always perfect. Mary looked beautiful here as well, just as there wasn’t a wrong way to wear anything. I just couldn’t appreciate the veil or the tiara the way it was worn but I’m sure others thought it was perfect. Sometimes things can’t be fully appreciated on film. They were there in person so they could see her hair, the Tiara & the Veil. She certainly was a beautiful Bride and of course the Crown Prince was a Handsome Groom. In Denmark, on days when the Palace is open to the public, Queen Margarethe can walk around happily chatting to guests. Her Father used to go out for a pleasant ride on his horse, in the streets of the town. None of that is possible for the English Royals.
