Honestly Cetrion should've had her safety on her zoning hit a long time ago. Zoning isn't fun in fighting games, and having a character so obnoxiously good at it never creates interesting gameplay that's fun to watch. It's soul-sucking for casual players, pros and spectators.

The amount of work that sonic had to do to beat tekken master was just insane. This man had to do SO MUCH WORK! The amount of flawless blocks sonic had to do to reduce chip and push back from cetrions boulders and deadly wins was on point! It was a lot just to get in on tekkenmasters cetrion and then to open him up or grab him was even harder. That was the highest level of mk11 I think I've ever seen. But shout out to sonic because any other person would have been mentally drained after fighting TMs cetrion for like 10 games lol my goodness that was intense. Never doubt sonic fox man. He is and will always be the goat of Mortal Kombat. Amazing gameplay. So happy to see offline tournaments again. I missed these types of tournaments. Not to take too much away from tekken master since he’s obviously an incredible player, but Cetrion (especially this load out) is basically fucking brain dead. Sonic had to work 5x as hard to pull off that win than Tekken Master would have had to. So all the props more to sonic fox for that victory

Cetrion is absolutely broke and NRS is really stupid but tekkenmaster played incredibly good. Don't forget that Cetrion can only get around 150dmg while Joker get guaranteed 300 to 500 dmg with every hit. Both kharakters are broke, Cetrion is just more annoying and poorly designed.

Spamming and zoning are not the same thing. I recommend actually learning fighting game terminology and getting a level of understanding of what it actually means to spam vs zone.
@curry flocka it's easier to get a strong rush down character out your face because they can get punished for doing something risky but with a zoner all you can do is duck and jump over stuff until you get in. Who's trying to do that all match
The fact that a player like Tekken thought the best strategy to beat Sonic was to resort to spamming a zoning character just shows how good Sonic is. And the fact that Sonic still won against this odd and he stuck to Joker rather to bring a counter zoning character just proves how good he is. In fact, he's the best and that was a well deserved victory because he had to work extra hard for it. And don't forget Tekken actually used Cetrion to beat Dragon's Cetrion main.
Joker is a very very hard character to deal with in a close range, his reach is unbelievable, and his damage is insane, TM played one hour but sonicfox played three minutes, imagine getting 43% damage in 5 seconds this is insane. But that was the best final in the history of MK.

What a legendary set! impressed af with sonic fox, he never fails in the clutch. TM was trying to keep the fight technical with his zoning but SF wasnt having any of that and just brawled his way in with haymaker combo after combo FTW.
There's a reason somebody as dominant as Fox is still the one people root for. He puts up with all the broken shit and doesn't settle for it either, earns every single one of his wins while everyone else is looking for the easiest way out.
I can't help but have huge respect for Sonic. Not only did Sonic beat the most cheating character in the game. But Sonic beat one of the best players in the world that was using that character.

@@leokinng610 Shit like that don't fly when 150k is on the line. Zoning is a legitimate strategy and isn't any less "manly". It's just a defensive playstyle. It's only boring to watch if you don't understand why he's doing what he's doing. To zone properly at a skill level like this you need to have a really firm understanding of your matchups and know what moves you can and can't throw out safely as well as understanding your limited close range toolset so you can best utilize it to keep people in your zone. As Sonic shows pretty handily in the last couple matches, once a zoner is out of their zone, they have super limited options and generally bad frame data. It takes just as much skill at high level to win as a zoner, it's just a slightly different set of skills than more offense oriented playstyles.
I know that SonicFox has said Joker is their true main. But can we talk about game 1, how they cancelled the fatal blow for pressure. Then after taking their turn back in neutral, they do an armor breaking combo to callout the air escape and RIGHT when the combo is reaching its end, they use the Fatal Blow the INSTANT it comes back to win. They knew exactly when it was gonna come back 😱😱 #GOATofFGC

Not to take too much away from tekken master since he’s obviously an incredible player, but Cetrion (especially this load out) is basically fucking brain dead. Sonic had to work 5x as hard to pull off that win than Tekken Master would have had to. So all the props more to sonic fox for that victory

Cetrion is absolutely broke and NRS is really stupid but tekkenmaster played incredibly good. Don't forget that Cetrion can only get around 150dmg while Joker get guaranteed 300 to 500 dmg with every hit. Both kharakters are broke, Cetrion is just more annoying and poorly designed.

Spamming and zoning are not the same thing. I recommend actually learning fighting game terminology and getting a level of understanding of what it actually means to spam vs zone.

The fact that a player like Tekken thought the best strategy to beat Sonic was to resort to spamming a zoning character just shows how good Sonic is. And the fact that Sonic still won against this odd and he stuck to Joker rather to bring a counter zoning character just proves how good he is.
In fact, he's the best and that was a well deserved victory because he had to work extra hard for it. And don't forget Tekken actually used Cetrion to beat Dragon's Cetrion main.
Sonic has had alot of practice against cetrion with all those matches he's had against Dragon

Joker is a very very hard character to deal with in a close range, his reach is unbelievable, and his damage is insane, TM played one hour but sonicfox played three minutes, imagine getting 43% damage in 5 seconds this is insane. But that was the best final in the history of MK.

@@leokinng610 Shit like that don't fly when 150k is on the line. Zoning is a legitimate strategy and isn't any less "manly". It's just a defensive playstyle. It's only boring to watch if you don't understand why he's doing what he's doing. To zone properly at a skill level like this you need to have a really firm understanding of your matchups and know what moves you can and can't throw out safely as well as understanding your limited close range toolset so you can best utilize it to keep people in your zone. As Sonic shows pretty handily in the last couple matches, once a zoner is out of their zone, they have super limited options and generally bad frame data. It takes just as much skill at high level to win as a zoner, it's just a slightly different set of skills than more offense oriented playstyles.

What made this entertaining is the way SF found the smallest openings and punished him for it. TM played his best, but SF adapted and took the W. This was a chess match and I enjoyed it.

I used to think Ninjakilla was better than Sonic, but this set just proved me wrong. The man has fighting game mechanics down to the finest details. The neutral, aggression and confidence in his decision imo is what makes him better than any other pro player. This arguably the highest level of MK i've ever seen! This some legendary sh*t!!

As he is the Goat of MK, beating Sonic twice in a MK tournament is always the most difficult thing to do. This guy not only resets 5-4, but then proceeds to 5-1 Tekken Master as he's completely figured him out. That man trophy room gotta be overwhelming.

@@kencur9690 Yes...when it comes to Grand Finals, the Loser must beat the Winner twice in sets to be the champion. The Winner only has to win once bc he was never beaten in the bracket before. Kind of like saying 2 losses gets you eliminated.
