I've no doubt that the 80's was the real golden age of music
I'm hip 😎! And I'm only 30! Today's music basically sucks!
It definitely was/is.
Umm no the music has not aged well. The 1970s PUNK hard rock etc has aged like fine wine. The 80s music is a betrayal to that foundation
@@Contessa6363 "betrayal to that foundation"🤪....riiiight, whatever you say😄
Você está terrivelmente certo
I’m 51 years old and Gene love Jezebel was my first concert ever saw them in 1983 at Fender’s in Long Beach..
real music, real instruments, long live the 80's !!
I'm so happy to have been a moody teenager in the 80s. Now 51
now 49. but yes, same here. we had a soul. these kids today are souless.
🤟
Not as fun as being a teenager in the late 70s we had it all!❤❤❤
can i return to this fuckin amazing time ...!!
this is an other example of how great the 80's were.
Yes
Fkin A
Like, Totally!!
How it should be now
If you were not lucky enough to experience the 80’s I am sorry for you but truly it was a wonderful time to be young and alive and the music will never ever get old it’s still young and alive , and that is why the people who don’t know the 80’s call it the 19hatees bunch of hater’s.
53, born in 1970, and just discovered these guys 2 days ago on Pandora! WHAT DID I MISS!!!
It's ok man. You found it and that's all that matters.
Better late than never 😌
Absolutely, just one of so many great bands of the 80s. I’m so glad I got to experience that decade.
Without Gene Loves Jezebel there is no Jane's Addiction.
It is possible there could be, but they definitely copied them. Lady Gaga totally copied Missing Persons lead singer.
Interesting. I heard a little Jane's in this song.
@@user-ru6mq5sc5n come on JA isn’t a copy. They have some commonality but they are both very distinct.
I can’t stand Jane’s addiction. My goodness
@@user-ru6mq5sc5n Thank you for this. Dale Bozzio and Missing Persons should've been way bigger. I think if they came along in a later decade they would've been. I like Lady Gaga as a person but yeah, she totally ripped off Missing Persons and Madonna.
I’m in love 💗
This song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They’re fantastic. This song never ages. Great beat and vocals
😊
I need a portal to go back to 80s with this great song.
Here is the address for the portal...3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
1987 was such a damn good year for music. 🖤
I'll second that thought!!!!!!!
Agree, also 1984 was pure gold.
@Amy B: It sure was, although this track was released in 1985.
For everything I graduated in 86 and was foot loose and fancy free at FSU
@@hauntological Didn’t know that, lol. I didn’t discover music like this until ‘87. 😂
I love how they're all glammed out, and then the drummer's kinda looking like Anthony Michael Hall in "Sixteen Candles."
JV Cooperative the Drummer's wearing a suit in another one of their videos
I agree. Is he same actor in The Breakfast Club
Actually....the drummers look was very very popular in the 80's and quite common actually! Myself included! 80's forever!!!!!!
@@cyclist7s Yeah it's funny, just stands out from the rest of the group XD
😂 very true.
Heard this song from the movie “She’s Having a Baby” and it still rocks
Los acabamos de ver hace poco en ciudad de México, octubre 2022, junto con The Mission Uk. Espectaculares, aquello sonó muy bien y aún cuando rondan los 70 años, hicieron magia.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I had totally forgotten about this song....and then one day it just randomly popped into my head and I had to Google it.
And here I am in ecstasy. ❤
If someone dedicates this to you at a club, they are probably the one lol!
80s sound is the most musical era in history.
yes!, thats correct!, i like 80's songs!, superb!!
...you mean, in industry xD
Very experimental era
I agree 💯. Being Hispanic I listen to music in both languages and it seems like in both a lot of attention was paid to music and sound. There’s so much going on sound wise that it’s easy to overlook the quality of vocals, guitar tone and rhythm cause it’s all happening at once. At least that’s how think of it. I’m a 90’s kid but after the fog of what was popular to us in our time faded the 80’s stuff really stood out.
The 1970s and 1990s too. After that it has been all trash.
PERFECTION....I searched for this song for decades....Thank you U tube
The 80's and 90's....the best.
Used to Jamm This In Galveston Beach in 87’
80's signature track for sure
She's having a Baby!
I cant speak for you folks in the UK but if there was any band that deserved to be called the most underrated band of the 1980's it was definitely Gene Loves Jezebel, at least that's how I feel here in the USA. These guys were awesome and why they didn't make a bigger impact over here is a mystery! I guess I can chalk it up to lack of airplay.
I remember I was in Camelot music back in the summer of '86 and this song came on the PA and immediately caught my ear. I listened to about 2 more tracks from the album and was compelled to find out who this was. The girl behind the counter told me the name "Gene Loves Jezebel" and I immediately had to have the cassette. I have been a dedicated fan of this band ever since.
i bought this record when it was out back in 1986...its great I still have it … only herd it on the radio a few times then.... but I liked it the first hearing
if they would've came out with this tune at the peak of the motley era, no doubt they would've went down in history. Still an amazing band in my opinion.
They got plenty of play in the clubs. Not so much on the radio...
Can't agree more.
Pull up Alan Parsons Project
Underrated group also.
Hearing Jay's voice back then. It's really refreshing.
Just glad there is video from this era of music to enjoy today!
It was a big dance club favorite! I remember just picking my favorite girl at the bar and start dancing
Brilliant 80s...brings me way back... awesome.
Makes me want to get up and dance!
Desiring, histerics wrapped in pearls and silks, making faces & mouths, scream under the wings of desire !

John Hughes ‘She’s Having A Baby’ brought me here😄😉💕🤘
YAAAAAAS HUNTY.. .SAME!
They were definitely not main stream, but we liked them and listened to them, danced to their music and enjoyed it. We loved the 80s, the music, the movies and we did enjoy and love this band. Great music and it brings back a lot of great memories of the places we visited and where we heard it most.
Long live the 80s. Best decade for music and film.
@@jasoninthehood9726 amen to that, couldn't agree more.
Definitely not mainstream 🤣
@@BLURTHEGHOST Yup, we listened to it in alternative new wave clubs or on our own, definitely not on the radio or anything like that.
Amazing tune from the wonderful 80's....
These guys and The Alarm were so underated
And this The Boshoi, are underated too.
Pure classic 80’s hit music!!!! It cannot be beaten!
I went to see the fabulous David Bowie at Milton Keynes Bowl (uk) in Aug 1990 and these were one of the support acts. Next day I went and bought their album I was so into them
This is the song brings me back in my time when i was a party goer
Yes sir ,I also be back in the time
Is really strong , fellings
I never wants forget
I never ''ll Go forget
OH MY GOD we had so much music at this time! So grateful to having been able to live through this time. Incredible.
Love it . So much talent in the 80s...Not like now
Love this band. They came to Seattle, WA back in the day and I got to meet them after their concert at a local club called the Vogue. I have this song in Vinyl. Great memories…
Damn, in Houston Texas, of all places. They were LEGEND! Cant forget seeing them at Numbers, and also a Galveston beach party!!!
The creativity of the 80s was amazing
The 80's in the last century was the best era in the history
I am so thankful, I was part of this
@@Soxravye Me too
I love how you had to specify which century😂
I was a child in the 80’s so I didn’t discover this song until 2004. I had the VH1 Classic station on the TV and this came on. I was cleaning my apartment and stopped what I was doing to watch the video. I immediately went on Kazaa to download it. I love this song! Great memories!
Me too I am just discovering this gem in 2021 ,how did I miss this in the 80s
Meu tempo maravilhoso que não volta mais. .. que pena !!
If you weren't there you'll never understand.
Wow this brings back so many great memories. I got to see them back in ‘87 as a young teenager when they came to Park City with Echo and the Bunnymen and New Order. Such a great show and performance. The music of the 80’s never tires.
Wow what a great concert to catch! I’m 42 and always wished I had been in my 20s in the 80s. What a great time
all together in the same show??
Saw that same trio when they hit Montreal. Epic Show!! Catching New Order with Pet Shop Boys on their our in Vancouver on Oct. 16!
saw the same tour in NYC
I got to see all three at the Greek theater in Berkeley, California!!!😎🌴
Such a killer band saw them back in the day 86-87 when music ruled vs today zzzzzzz beyond horrible 😬! 80s rule 🤘🎸🎸
Oh man. I loved this guy. Don't get old.
Cool jam
Great song
Makes me 21 years old in the Waikiki dance clubs.....Oh, to be young and handsome again.
They are on tour with the Alarm!
Was playing in Hard Rock Cafe today and fell instantly
Grandes anos 80! Agora infelizmente a música está praticamente morta e quase enterrada; restam estas boas memórias 🎶🎵✨🌠
Verdade 👏

Fantastic and flawless what a great band!!!!
Oh! my goodness. I love this song. A Dj used to play this song as soon as he would see me and my friend walk into this club.
Okay but why didnt you bang him
I used to do the same thing, but I’d play The Cure’s Friday I’m in Love...
Awesome! Takes me back to the late 80's. Good times!!!
Such good time ❤️
Saw them open for The Sisters of Mercy in '92...
I'm super jealous
Love them and all about eve
What an odd double bill. I once saw Guns and Roses open for The Cult. Within three months, GNR was headlining stadiums.
@@rachelmorgan7751 Me too!

Yes you are right
I love too ...
Llevaba desde los 80 buscando esta canción. Por aquel entonces me pareció algo adelantado a su tiempo y lo cierto es que no envejece. Muy buena la linea de bajo.
Amazing 80s tune.
Ouvindo essa musica de 1986 em 2021. Eu amo demais. 🤗🤗🤗
This song reminds me of the 1986 LA street scene, will never forget watching them play this song on stage
