  • @falcore91
    @falcore91 3 роки тому +38

    I sometimes wish BOTW had a “hidden UI” option which would display all of these hidden stats / figures in the UI. I think keeping a lot of stats/details scant was absolutely the right move for this game and the atmosphere it was trying to create, but after years of playing it sometimes you just want to peak under the hood.

    • @Buglin_Burger7878
      @Buglin_Burger7878 3 роки тому +5

      Sadly I think it is best to avoid that even still... because you can realize the game is rather deceptive and punishing to the player.
      For example, killing enemies makes stronger enemies appear more making you as a player effectively weaker. If you can get every weapon from the start of the game... then the world only gets worse for you.
      This is why I'd argue BotW is a a very flawed game.
      It is a game that requires you to not know how it works... but when you do know it starts to become frustrating/annoying at times.

    • @SpikedKirby
      @SpikedKirby Рік тому

      @@exyzt9877 the problem is that this encourages people to not fight anything, if lets say you want to do a 100% run, in this case its better to avoid and ignore all the enemies, all the camps, and the divine beasts to keep the enemies easy as you finish all the shrines.
      This also saves you from wasting the weapons which by being so fragile they become tools instead of weapons, there is only a need to carry elemental weapons to do puzzles and hammers and bows to break rock or hit koroks and stuff. Everything else is a waste since if you fight enemies you only loose resources and make the next group of enemies you are forced to fight stronger.

    Did you know the Master Sword beam's range depends on how many hearts you have? I don't know the exact measurements but I'm sure anyone doing a 3 heart run should know this. I play like this specifically to make master sword beams more practical since if you lose temporary hearts you still can use the beam and losing just one heart while having more heart containers means you have to reload health just to use it anyway. Link with temp hearts and max stamina is much more fun to play with.

    I love how the game has been out for years and we still are discovering things every month, it could be a glitch or a hidden feature! This game is one of the best games ever made, also the graphics? I mean it was released in 2017 and it looks like a 2022 game! Breath Of The Wild is one of the games ever created, it was the first combat game I really liked, or actually liked at all. It teaches you quickly and well. BOTW: In *at least* the top 10 best games made. First Zelda game and it won't be my last for sure, I wasn't very much into Zelda and by no means, a lore master but this game has made me love it.

    Thanks Croton! I didn't know about the food baiting for the animals, except for dogs of course. I noticed your chart is missing a few of the land animals: horses, coyotes (assuming same as wolves), rhino, sheep, sand seals, and the flying birds. It'd be nice to know especially if you can bait the horses and sand seals! Another good one to test: blupees!

    Hey Croton, I’m not experienced enough to test this, but you know how sometimes when you boost on your horse, but it denies the boost, despite having a max bond? I feel like periodically feeding it apples helps to give a smoother ride for some reason. Like, do you think the bond meter drops as a hidden mechanic, but doesn’t actually drop in-game?

    There is actually a hidden thing with the radiant armor which you haven't talked about. Although I'm not sure if its true, I just have the Official guide of breath of the wild and its in the book...
    Wearing one of the radiant pieces has the hidden effect of stal lure which as the name suggests increases the spawn rate of stal enemys.
