Something funny you can do with the meat is that in cold climates, it still can be used to lure enemies, but if it's not quick enough the meat will freeze, they'll get mad at it and eat it anyway.
I learned from another video that this little tantrum they throw over the frozen food doubles the distraction time you have to do a stealth attack! Have not tested myself, but it was demonstrated in the vid. Useful little trick to keep in mind :)
One thing you neglected to mention is that after an enemy eats their health will also get restored. I think it always restores them to full health, but I'm not 100% sure.
I’m glad. I recently started playing Breath of the Wild again after playing it to death for the entirety of 2017 and I’m having a blast. Always finding something interesting, like some dialogue or something I didn’t come across before :D
i did notice fish in the village going towards fruit but i didn't know every animal and enemy would do that. however, because it makes me have to 'think' outside the box all the time to do all these cool tricks that matches reality, I usually don't do these things unless I have the patience to assess the situation first and consider my options i play like a noob. I use weapons only rarely if I do close combat, but majority of the time I use bombs to break boxes and mine ore deposits, as well as juggling enemies with bomb explosions. I CONSTANTLY switch between the two Bomb apps, constantly switching between the two when tossing the bomb and detonating.
All those ppl making 'BOTW secrets you didn't know!' videos just recycling old findings while out boi here SPILLING mechanics that very few knew. Wow, just WOW.
Tbh, some parts of it do appear as tips on the loading screen (telling you what Boko’s, Moblins and Lizals like, with a tip off about fish) but you have to experiment to find out how actually useful it is. I may or may not fish using shock arrows or remote bombs.
@@Tilda_the_mage Speaking of fishing, anyone else just equip full stealth armour then just hop into the water to get fish? I don’t know when or why, but a long time ago I figured out that fish don’t get scared away from you unless it’s too late if you have full stealth armour, so I’d just equip the armour and grab my fish bare-handed :D

I love how random some of the set bonus's are! Why not have Ravio's hood have the power of the Wild Set? why not make the royal guard gear be the zora, climbing, and barbarian sets combined?! I love it!
With the Master Cycle fuel, there's one more thing (if I remember correctly), which is the ancient Core: the first one you use won't do that much, but the more of them you put into the bike, the more each of them fills it up.
I sometimes wish BOTW had a “hidden UI” option which would display all of these hidden stats / figures in the UI. I think keeping a lot of stats/details scant was absolutely the right move for this game and the atmosphere it was trying to create, but after years of playing it sometimes you just want to peak under the hood.
Sadly I think it is best to avoid that even still... because you can realize the game is rather deceptive and punishing to the player. For example, killing enemies makes stronger enemies appear more making you as a player effectively weaker. If you can get every weapon from the start of the game... then the world only gets worse for you. This is why I'd argue BotW is a a very flawed game. It is a game that requires you to not know how it works... but when you do know it starts to become frustrating/annoying at times.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 Enemies getting stronger as you play is not a flaw, since you are also getting stronger. If the game had the same easy enemies it would get boring.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 it's called level scaling. You get stronger enemies as you fight because as you play, you're getting stronger and smarter. It's not a flaw, it is an intentional design choice meant to encourage the particular style of play the game is geared at.
@@exyzt9877 the problem is that this encourages people to not fight anything, if lets say you want to do a 100% run, in this case its better to avoid and ignore all the enemies, all the camps, and the divine beasts to keep the enemies easy as you finish all the shrines. This also saves you from wasting the weapons which by being so fragile they become tools instead of weapons, there is only a need to carry elemental weapons to do puzzles and hammers and bows to break rock or hit koroks and stuff. Everything else is a waste since if you fight enemies you only loose resources and make the next group of enemies you are forced to fight stronger.

I noticed your chart is missing a few of the land animals: horses, coyotes (assuming same as wolves), rhino, sheep, sand seals, and the flying birds. It'd be nice to know especially if you can bait the horses and sand seals! Another good one to test: blupees!
In terms of fashion and effectiveness, use ravio’s hood + island lobster shirt, and royal guards pants, can be switched for snow/sand boots, and the rgp can efficiently switch to the full set
I love your series so much!!! I've been wondering if you're considering making a video on the field of view of enemies? I feel like they don't see very well and I wonder what the angles and distances are where they don't even notice you... But it's different sometimes

Hey Croton, I’m not experienced enough to test this, but you know how sometimes when you boost on your horse, but it denies the boost, despite having a max bond? I feel like periodically feeding it apples helps to give a smoother ride for some reason. Like, do you think the bond meter drops as a hidden mechanic, but doesn’t actually drop in-game?
Gold Bokos might be an exception because they are black bokos with a texture pack and upgraded stats but the devs forgot to make then unbaitable if thats a good word to use
I can't wai to see how much a guide like this would be with the new game, they really added content to be worth at least an hour for sure to go through of all the new item uses... I can't wait 😭
There is actually a hidden thing with the radiant armor which you haven't talked about. Although I'm not sure if its true, I just have the Official guide of breath of the wild and its in the book... Wearing one of the radiant pieces has the hidden effect of stal lure which as the name suggests increases the spawn rate of stal enemys.
Personally I find 5 ancient gears fills the Master Cycle well enough and are plenty common. Better to save that monster extract for recipes that actually require it in my book.
Curious if bears are also attracted to the coursair honey? That was my first thought when hearing about the baiting which I didn’t know about except with monsters! Thanks for always sharing your knowledge 🙂
For some reason, placing chu jelly in freezing climate doesn't turn it into white chu jelly, but placing it in freezing cold water does. Meanwhile, placing chu jelly on the ground on death mountain changes it to red chu jelly.
I have found that using Chuchu jelly actually fills the Master Cycle up more than any of the things you suggested. Also, technically, dragon parts are the best to fill it up, but it would be a huge waste of the parts to use them for the Master Cycle fuel
@@Shadenxox6 honestly I was just escalating your suggestion. Wasn't sure if you were trolling. Even if star fragments do multiply the fuel...why would you waste it? The more you know I guess
My little brother managed to use the Camera Rune to make a Guardian permanently despawn. He also learned how to go into bullet time from the Master Cycle Zero. One time, he rode up in front of a Bokoblin, went into bullet time from the Master Cycle Zero, and somehow spun himself _behind_ the Bokoblin and shot it in the back! My baby sister also lined up two Moblins in such a way that one of them kept throwing rocks into the back of the other Moblin's head until it died!
With the korok leaf, try to chain single swings instead of combos of two. If Link does a spin, he has to recover afterward, so the raft will slow down. Chaining single swings can get you going really really fast. I was going so fast at one point that the hero's path mode thought I teleported.
@@Croton I wonder if it affects the windmills you can find around Tabantha Canyon? I'm pretty sure those follow the direction of the wind. EDIT: After testing it myself, it unfortunately doesn't seem to have any effect :(
3:09 weirdly on the 1.5 version it loses bond when hit by anything not just link and gains small health and bond from feeding it but not on versions before or after 1.5

You forgot something for the master cycle fuel. I'm pretty sure that rock salt does more than apples for fueling it
Ancient cores work the same way as monster extract for fueling the Master Cycle, doubling the fuel of ingredients.
Curious if bears are also attracted to the coursair honey? That was my first thought when hearing about the baiting which I didn’t know about except with monsters! Thanks for always sharing your knowledge 🙂
I tested that one out, but sadly it doesn't work - I figured it would too 🤷♂️
i didnt know this, wow this mechanic is an amazing detail
For some reason, placing chu jelly in freezing climate doesn't turn it into white chu jelly, but placing it in freezing cold water does.
Meanwhile, placing chu jelly on the ground on death mountain changes it to red chu jelly.
Croton uploaded! A MIRACLE!
No way monk maz koshia gets distracted from bananas that is absolutely hilarious and kind suspicious
I have found that using Chuchu jelly actually fills the Master Cycle up more than any of the things you suggested. Also, technically, dragon parts are the best to fill it up, but it would be a huge waste of the parts to use them for the Master Cycle fuel
you missed one for the master cycle. Star fragments can act as a multiplier as well
And cores, and dragon shards
yeah and if you cook 5 star fragments it turns into the bow of light!
@@DeegeCar91 I wonder how many poor souls fell for this. Luckily they can just reload the save 🤣🤣🤣
@@DeegeCar91 if u think you can fool anyone 4 years into the game, ur wrong.
It blows my mind how this game has been out 4 years and we're STILL learning secrets about it!!
all these years later, and im still learning new things about this game
With the korok leaf, try to chain single swings instead of combos of two. If Link does a spin, he has to recover afterward, so the raft will slow down. Chaining single swings can get you going really really fast. I was going so fast at one point that the hero's path mode thought I teleported.
I'm still sad Swift Carrots don't boost your horse like Enduras do, even a small or short speedboost would've been so nice to have on occasion
Lots of good knowledge here, thank you!
chuchu jelly also works great with the master cycle zero, awesome video!
Congrats on 120K!!
Thank you! :)
First youtuber I’ve ever seen who knows about the stamina thing on royal gear
Wait, so if I use the island lobster shirt with a korok leaf, I can change the direction of the wind in the bird man research?
That could be useful if it works
I think it only works when you are in the water
It only applies to rafts - natural wind doesn't normally apply to paragliding speed anyways (unless it's one of the prominent wind gusts)
@@Croton I wonder if it affects the windmills you can find around Tabantha Canyon? I'm pretty sure those follow the direction of the wind.
EDIT: After testing it myself, it unfortunately doesn't seem to have any effect :(
Spicy Peppers and Sun Shrooms are free updrafts?
Good god this game keeps giving me more and more to learn holy cow
Damn after 3 year we still finding so much. Loving it
Keep up the facts croton you are making me know a lots of facts keep it up :)
3:09 weirdly on the 1.5 version it loses bond when hit by anything not just link and gains small health and bond from feeding it but not on versions before or after 1.5
