  • 9 Hours Office! 4 Hours Traffic WFH officially ends for TCS; employees to return to office 5 days per week. Tata Consultancy Services which earlier announced that its 100% of its employees back to office by 2023-end or start of 2024.
    TCS mandate that employees report to the office at least three days a week has caused negative outcomes for the tech giant. Will it go to 5 days per week as compulsory?
    What are the real reasons behind companies asking employees to return to office, They are not even allowing for hybrid model. Companies feel that they want to give in person experience to the employees and specially freshers. Because of remote connectivity they lack innovation and collaboration.
    When employees started wfh , real state crashed as companies stopped renewing the lease agreements, unemployment around the restaurants , pubs increased .People dependent on PG and Rent for their livelihood were helpless as employees relocated to their home town.
    There might be some political pressure to address these concerns that forced companies to return back to office.

    Don't start thinking like a slave! TCS initially reported increased productivity due to WFH. Now Suddenly they are claiming a decrease in productivity, because they want you back in the office
    In office people spend more time outside of office - Chai, Sutta, Lunch, Lunch ke baad ghumna, phir Afternoon tea, snacks
    Yaak !!!! Don't want to be a part of this again !!!

      People prefer wfh because you have any idea how much renting cost in the city+ travel expenses and also the new Mother wants to spend time with their kids.

    Hume IT industry me WFO karne ke bahane Gurgaon jaise bekar shaheron mein rehna padta hai. Yaha mehnge par bakwas aparmets hain. Society mein bhi bas dhokhadhadi aur loot hai. Transport ke options limited hai. Auto/ cab tip dene par hi book hote hain aur service bhi bekaar hai. Paise banane ke liye yahaa aao aur phir wo saara paisa yahi phenk do ye kya logic hai. These companies should understand this vicious cycle.

    Arey Bhai sab log alag alag location pai hai na, uska bhi to dekho. All employees are working in different locations even when we go to office we interact on teams.

    Upcoming kids must think twice before spending money on expensive education.
    India is not fit for educated labour force, when there is so much of ppl spending(not investment) on the education are you getting good enough oppurtunities. Indians must think for an alternative to college education as the ROI is not acceptable.
    In USA average engineer graduate gets over $72.5K a year, in India the same is over 2.5L.
    Completing an engineering degree in the USA costs around 45,000 and 60,000 USD (37.07 lakhs - 49.43 lakhs INR).
    an average fresher graduate in usa can afford $1199 iphone 15 pro max in his first salary technically on a outlook.
    The average BTech fee in private colleges is INR 3 Lakhs to 19 Lakhs. While the average BTech fee in a government college is INR 5.48 Lakhs to 12.5 Lakhs.
    an average engineer graduate in India cant afford ₹134900.00 iphone 15 pro max in his first salary technically on a outlook. its almost his half yearly salary.
    On top of it there is hell lot of compitation for just a handfull of job oppurtunities, plus there is no job security due to bad labour laws as a bonus

    No other company is copying TCS. Sab galat reason bataye aapne bhai.
    Agar political pressure hota to sabhi companies ab tak 5 day kar chuki hoti.
    Yeh sab workforce kam karne ke bahane hai

      india bro you are an item just like they use broom to clean the floor, they can buy you any time and kick you anytime, again india is not a labour first economy, india is business first economy.
      in countries with labour first economy there will be strong hold on companies from the government, government can control the companies assets in case of violation, in india if you have a business you can buy some human slaves and use them.

      correct, this work from office preassure is from government, government knows how to squeeze money from middle class employees pocket. No one understands. On top of it government does not have proper employee laws to protech middle class. middle class will be dead only rich will survive
