Glorious. Thank you.
I love playing this glorious anthem. Well done indeed organist.
One of my absolute favorites; gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
If he had done nothing else, this alone would have been a magnificent life's work from the humane and helpful Gardiner. It quite transcends its Anglican niche to take its side near the Brahms Requiem and Sea Drift: one senses the same master hand, the same exaltation, the same eternal tympanum frieze.
This is a must for my funeral. I first sung it (as an alto) in 1981 and was completely and utterly blown away by it! Still am and always will be. A masterpiece.
Always my top favorite choral work. I would even schedule the choir to sing it in the morning!
Beautifully sung. I had goosebumps.
This never fails to inspire me, carry on the good work Somerville thank you so much
INCREDIBLE! Thank you!
Who doesn't have the hairs stand up on the back of their neck? The acoustic is also mesmerising.
Amazing piece. Wonderfully sung. I wish to be in a chorus one day singing this.
A lovely performance. Slightly strange camera angle on the choir - maybe there is a reason for this? But well done to all, especially the organist - faultless! The tenors stretching a bit on the high notes - easily done, because I used to do it myself...
+David Bull Immaturity of voices. Give 'em 5-10 years, they'll be stonking!
大好きです。次郎
sopranos are a bit ragged, but they're trying their best. Nice.
Could be the recording.....
