      Small difference: Unless you're doing a super-efficient SSTO mission you wouldn't split trans-lunar injection into multiple burns.

      I think beresheet demonstrates Israel in some way, such a tiny spaceship, trying to get it's place among the most respected and known nations that made it that far

      @DrDogo Come on, it is using a US space-X as a launch booster, UK LEROS engines for flight propulsion and deceleration. It has no thermal control and so will overheat in two days. Originally it was designed to win the Google Lunar X-Prize. It is not exactly like Israel designed anything from scratch or revolutionary. Still, good luck.

      IT is in fact cheaper to work with the metric system. Also more safety involved. In fact, NASA wanted to change USA to the metric system before they started the space program but cost of changing all industries, signals, tools over the country were huge.

      Not conquering.The Soviet Union had a (hard) moon landing as early as 1959.And,of course,the USA landed (and returned) numerous astronauts between 1969-72.Israel is just trying to join the club in its own little way.
