Girl you need to sue that police station!! They didn’t tell you why you were being detained, and they didn’t read you your rights!!! That is NOT OKAY.
Yeah , why are they expecting it’s her she’s a girl and it was a boy who did that
@@imogendayx6839 they didn’t think it was her they thought it was her friend
@@maddieobrien8081 also might have been bc she was bald just a guess
@@imogendayx6839 They thought she was smuggling the person who stabbed them,
@@gene3461 No, they thought she was smuggling the guy
I would sue them for emotional damages, especially with the false accusations that could potentially ruin your reputation and the trauma this has caused to you and your friends.
YES! I feel so bad for them 😞
😊I agree but wtf is emotional damages
@@Theratsofus_5456 it was obviously traumatic and will stay with them for a while, plus the emotional stress of having to deal with bullshit comments from other people. That is emotional injury. It can put you in therapy. It can cause PTSD. You can’t minimize the effect of someone else’s experience.
@@cynthiamurphy2003 ohhh ok. I figured that out last yr tho when I wrote that😭😭😭😭 ty tho
That was complete abuse of power. They never should have treated any of you like that. I understand that the cops need to do their job and that they had their protocols. But the way they treated you three was unreasonable. You could file a lawsuit against them for this. And since you're a makeup artist and you work with models, I'm sure you already know that anybody who is spreading rumors about you that are wrong you can file for slander against them. I'm a model myself, taking a break for a little while until I can get myself where I need to be for photos. I've been through libel cases plenty of times. Maybe you're nicer than me and you won't pursue anything further, but you definitely can and you really should. This whole situation could have been avoided. I'm so sorry this happened to you. This could tarnish your good name and it shouldn't. It was a mistake and it needs to be rectified.
To be fair tho that's what ur supposed to do if you don't know if they have a weapon and their a suspect for murder
@@Samantha_0037 it was still extremely intense.
@@Jessie_lynn ya I know but the cops never know who's behind the wheel it could be a serial killer or a nice person
Even though they were doing their job its not right to not tell you why your getitng arrested
@@UrLocalDTIPlayerApparently they don’t have to tell you why you’re being detained, and they don’t even have to tell you why you’re being arrested. They don’t even need to read you your rights until they’re questioning you. American police is insane
This is definitely a law suit… at any moment, any one of y’all could have gotten seriously injured.
nah fr imagine if they accidentally messed up getting out the car or something with all those guns for 3 people they definately couldve been shot
I looked into it, and it says as long as the cops believe they’re acting in accordance to the law, they basically have zero liability. It could be different since they didn’t read them their rights though
it’s not if they have someone that fits the description they can arrest them
No, it's not.
@@beckydavid8411your Miranda rights are only read if the officers asking incriminating questions. There is no lawsuit here. They can try to sue but it won’t go anywhere. These officers actions may have seemed unlawful but they are not. Their number one priority is to safely detain and secure a murder suspect without incident. That’s why they don’t answer your questions of why you’re being detained. Once they have secured the suspects and the scene… then they will tell you why you’re being detained and may read your rights if they want to question you about the alleged crime .
I have worked amongst law enforcement for almost 17 years....and because I know how things can change in a second I literally have panic attacks even when I think I am getting pulled over. Every Officer is different and I have met the nicest ones out there but I have also met the worst of the worst. I would have had a heart attack. My heart hurts for you. This will forever change you and no, it's not right. This is a guilty until found innocent approach. Hugs sent your way.
If you've actually worked along side law enforcement you would know that is the correct way. The officers handle things correctly
@@paulettereading3624 I do not like getting responses like this one because it is my truth. And because it is hard to get a response from someone who take the time to fully read and understand the clear post. What you stated has nothing to do with what I stated. It does not make me a liar. It does not make this person experience any better and you should accept that.
@@MariamandIsa the part of your comment that was wrong was it being a guilty until proven innocent situation.
You would know that this is protocol. They have to do this to ensure their safety and the safety of others when they think there is a threat.
@@lostineggsaisle yet it doesn’t change the truth of my comment.
I cannot explain how pissed I would be, you stayed so strong I personally could never.
That’s sad because the suspect they where looking for probably is still running free because they wasted there time putting you guys through that traumatic thing! Wtf!! Sending love from your home state!
The amount of cops, the amount of guns, the confusing “hands at your sides” shit, no rights read, and no one, in any video I’ve ever seen, nobody ever ever tells people why they’re being detained....how awful and traumatic....
They only read your rights when they know they are going to take you to the police station as the right are "anything you do or say can and will be used against you in the caught of law" so unless they have an intention to take you to caught they don't read them. And they don't tell you why you are being detained bc if they do then you have a better idea of what to cover up for if that makes sense, so if a wanted criminal has done many crimes then a police officer tells them what's they are being detained for they can cover up for it but if they don't know it may be easier to get truer answers :) (btw not hating in you for this just explaining why)
I feel so bad for you and you were probably panicking I would scream if I were u so Emmy you so lucky to be free that's why you never judge a book by its cover and the fact they have so many guns and cars and helicoptors is wrong because they should be fired IMMEDIATELY anyways stay safe girl your amazing
Fucking God like anybody I've seen on UA-cam never got arrested
@SpearIsSoDarnAwesome honestly I've never even seen a real gun in real life so if one day cops just come at me with this amount of gun and people I would literally start crying and I know for sure that it'll traumatize me in a certain way.
I'll be so scared to be shot because one of them would have just wanted to
In murder cases there are definitely times where they won’t tell the suspect why they’re being arrested until while they’re being interrogated. I think it’s so they can’t talk to anyone to get a false alibi, or so they can’t make up a lie until they’re asked what happened. Not saying it’s right, just something I’ve noticed American police do in interrogations, asking why they think they’re there etc. I’m not American, and I definitely like how our police do it more than the American police. I also don’t understand why American police’s first reaction is always to pull up a gun
That is INSANE! I am so sorry that happened. I would’ve been freaking out too!
This genuinely makes me angry abt how the police had no proof abt anything and they didn’t tell you why you were being detained and they were so aggressive with you guys. Idk why police think they are entitled in this world
I do agree but you also have to look qt it from their perspective with protocols etc. If it did happen to be the murderers then their protocols would have payed off.
@@hayleykitto6909 they didnt say any of their rights, tell them why they’re arrested and were literally throwing them around on the floor with lots of people around even if seb was the murderer jt’s not acceptable complete abuse of power
They only read your rights when they know they are going to take you to the police station as the right are "anything you do or say can and will be used against you in the caught of law" so unless they have an intention to take you to caught they don't read them. @@tee844 no, it wasn't. They weren't arrested. They were detained. They don't tell you why you're being detained until everyone is secure. They don't read your rights to you unless they're taking you to the police station to be questioned after your arrest.
This is official protocol and they handled it appropriately.
@gracelynette they actually don't have to read you them at all. The only time they need to read them to you is if they ask you any questions or plan to use anything you say against you. Even if you are arrested they still don't have to read them to you.
Definitely sue!! Please because this is so traumatizing.
A similar thing happened to me but because they were looking for my older sister and said I looked like her even though she’s like 5”7 and I’m 4”9 and different color hair and everything I ended up with bruises on me because of how rough they were with me I was 15 at the time and my sister was 23 .. I’m sorry this happened to you girl❤️
honestly u should sue for trauma that’s honestly terrifying
EXACTLY!!I agree !Smdh!🤦🎯💯💯💯😡😠😤😬I agree Sue the 💩 out of them ASAP!!💪🙏💖💵🤗😇
She can't. She had someone in her car who they thought was their suspect. So until everyone was safe and in handcuffs they never tell you what's going on.
Girl for NOBOBY TO TELL U WHATS GOING ON IS GROUNDS TO SUE THEM
Nope. When the situation was under control she was told. You can't tell someone before the situation is under control
you need to make a lawsuit. you were not read your rights/ not told why you were being detained. this is such a traumatic experience for a human being, not to add the fact the humiliation and false rumors that have now been spread about you and your friends. The fact that they aimed guns at you this entire time even after the fact they new you didn’t have anything is not okay.
They only read your rights when they know they are going to take you to the police station as the right are "anything you do or say can and will be used against you in the caught of law" so unless they have an intention to take you to caught they don't read them. I agree they some of how this looms was wrong but I'm also not hating on your comment just educating
there has to be some type of compensation especially because they were pointing guns at you
probably not because she was a murder suspect. they have to take it very seriously.
I would be sobbing unconditionally if this happend to me! All of this was just so wrong, I can’t belive this actually happens!!
"The Civil Rights Act of 1871 allows people to sue for certain kinds of civil rights violations, including excessive police force. The Civil Rights Act of 1871 is a federal statute, numbered 42 U.S.C. § 1983, that allows people to sue the government for civil rights violations"
IKTR!😊💯✔..a few police just got prosecuted for the same exact charges..A female died in thier custody in a jail, she kelp telling them she needed her meds & they ignored her..That's a shame!..u know the codes & all..DO U STUDY LAW??..I guess it's a good thing to know our rights, anyway!!
@@shavondasmith6598 oh wow that is crazy. I am not studying law... But i do know that's very illegal and against our right to be detained without evidence or warrant. It is very good to know our rights especially with law enforcement just because they tend to over do their role as someone we are suppose to "trust".
i’m so sorry this happened to you. i’m glad nothing happened to you guys. much love girly❤️
That’s honestly so crazy. I’ve got a massive fear of that happening to me, that somehow I’ll get framed for something, but that comes with not being white. I think this could have happened to anyone, and it’s very unfortunate it happened to you guys. This made me search some things up, and I’m so shocked to find out they don’t have to tell anyone why they’re being arrested or detained, and they don’t even have to read people their rights until they’re being questioned. Wtf. Seems like all of this was completely legal/within their right, which is crazy. They would not be allowed to act like that where I live, it would be all over the news in the whole country if they did. I would seriously be so scared if that happened to me, it seems terrifying
I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. That must of been so terrifying

My 8 year old daughter Oona going on 35 just told me she admires everything you do, you're a great artist to follow and wish that'd never happened to you, she wishes you the best and to keep up the great work!!
they do not need to yank you! they can just pull you up lighter!
Sue them for trauma. And another thing they didn’t read you any of your rights not even Miranda
I've only seen a few seconds and I can already confidently say you were lucky to survive this encounter.
I am so so so sorry that this happened to you! This is absolutely crazy. You and your friends don’t deserve this at all. I hope people know that this is not OK. I really really hope that you and your friends are OK and healthy.
this must have been so traumatic, i am so glad you’re ok 😔 this is absolutely madness
Wtf is wrong with police in #LosAngeles and #SanDiego? Make them walk a beat. Take away their armor. Make them know the people they are supposed to protecting. 🥺 This whole thing is so horrifying. 😭
