Aramco just reported a profit of $120bn -more than Nvidia, Meta, Tesla and Amazon combined. The Govt is already investing heavily into sports, tourism, manufacturing and renewable energy. They’re also positioning themselves as a second trade and regional headquarters in the region, KSA is already moving towards making it a global AI hub. So yes the country knows they need to reduce their dependency on oil and hence are taking necessary steps. Now whether they will succeed or not is a different question and only time will tell.

Saudi Arabia & other OPEC countries will have a perennial income stream for almost twenty five years. If they start investing a small fraction of this income in the stock market one can easily hazard a guess what their portfolio would be after two & a half decades. We have the example of Singapore. So I don't think they need to worry about their future. Quite optimistic but achievable.
