The expert for this week’s masterclass is Dr Mushtaq Hussain. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University. He teaches International relations and Political Theory there. He has obtained Ph D., in west Asian studies from the School of International Studies, JNU. His Specialization is in Palestinian Conflict.
His Research Interests are; the Israel-Palestine Conflict, the Role of religion in International Relations, and Diplomacy in West Asia. He is also a Recipient of the Israel Government Scholarship in 2012-13.

Very informative video, very impressed by Dr. Hussain's depth and breadth of knowledge on this topic. I wish he wasn't interrupted so much, some questions seemed to be distractive from the thought or point he was discussing. I also wish Dr. Hussain had provided references to books, and movies about the Palestinian side too. It was said that the updated list would be given in the description, but I don't see any additions to the list than what was mentioned in the video.

I saw the video very intensely. What the Delhi Professor should also understand that in 1947, 22% Muslims of Undivided Bharat were given 30% land,leaving 3crores Muslims & 3 crores of Hindus in Pakistan. What an injustice was done to Hindus in total. Is these details are given in our text books.

I'm aIndian jew who migratred to Israel about 45 years before.It is natural that I have little bit more knowledge of history of jews than any other person.Eventhouh mr.Muthaq tried to explain the history of jews & conflict of palestien people to recover the land back from jews..
In my opinion mr Mushtaq tried not to bring all the real facts to the audience.may be he is not aware of real fact about jews.. I don't know.
He explained that jews were in these area 600 years before jesus was born and they had the two temples.first temple built by king Solomon and second was built by kind Herrold.This information is quite correct.The temple's destruction made by the Babylone King and second temple destructed by Roman Empire.The Roman empire's cruelty is well known and the remaing jews fled all over the world to save themselves from massacre.They were Romans who changed the name of Israel to 'palestine' hoping jews never come back to their beloved land .
It is clear that this area is not a new area for jews but their own land which was taken by romans by force.
Jews always prayed to return back to their holy land.it took 2000 years for jews to arrive back their own land abd it is no doubt a miracle.no such thing happened in World's history.

Good talk. Here is my critical comment for this video:
Mostly oriented towards Israel and somehow indirectly empathizing with Israel actions and the words coming from a Muslim research scholar makes it more convincing. Conveniently skipping the atrocities, injustice, lie , no regards for later UN resolution and a blind support on their back by the USA, UK and European union which actually makes them powerful.
I wish a similar episode on the similar topic from a non muslim research scholar describing all the atrocities and crimes of Western powers and Israel done on Palestinians.

The first temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar 2 of neo Babylon empire in 586 BC and not be Greco roman as told in this show.Also Solomon was third king of empire ,first was King Saul and second was king David who was father of King Solomon.

There are numerous armies that excel beyond them, like the Indian army, which, despite limited resources, showcases remarkable performance worth exploring and admiring.
