Thank you! I knew you’d love this!!! Welcome to the skeleton clique! This song is what they’re all about, they don’t stay in a lane. You will love all of their music! I have seen them live and the shows are amazing!
The list refers to lyrics from the song 'Ride': "We have a list of people that we would take A bullet for them A bullet for you A bullet for everybody in this room But I don't seem to see many bullets coming through See many bullets coming through Metaphorically I'm the man But literally I don't know what I'd do" Lane Boy: "But let's backtrack Back to this Who would you live and die for on that list? But the problem is, there's another list that exists And no one really wants to think about this Forget sanity, forget salary, forget vanity, my morality If you get in between someone I love and me You're gonna feel the heat of my cavalry" He's making the point that certain aspects of 'fame' and 'success' (as seen on the gas masked men in the video) make you lose touch with the real world- they can make you forget the importance of love, friendship and family. The 'list' refers to a list of people he loves and would metaphorically take a bullet for.
Yep, plus Ride talks about it being harder to live for someone than to die for them, and then in this song he's referencing back to those lists and saying that if you come for someone he loves he'll throw away his sanity, his salary, his vanity, and even his morality to fight for them
Just realized that both NF and the singer in Twenty one pilots paint them selves on stage, Nate paints a smile on his face and Tyler paints his hands and neck.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I think you'll find a surprising overlap between TOP and NF fans... Edit: The section about the "question I asked last" and "who would you live and die for on that list?" Are both referring to lines in the song "Ride" from the same album.
@TheThirdErnest You probably already have. There are a number of their songs that you've probably heard playing in stores or restaurants or something that you didn't know were theirs :)

Twenty One Pilots have very cryptic messages hidden in all of their songs artwork and music videos, especially on their most recent album Trench. Look into Dema, east is up and Clancy.

Talking about all “The Hype” is pretty funny imo considering they literally have a song called The Hype talking exactly about what he said. How they don’t believe in all that 😂😂
I've been sleeping on Twenty One Pilots all these years too! LayedBak had recently found them and fell in love too, so that's how I hopped on board. Looking forward to discovering more Twenty One Pilots with you all!

@@TheThirdErnest Dude! That's exactly what I was thinking cool thing is you can enjoy them at the surface or go super deep. Look into DEMA and Clancy etc. One of my favorite bands of all time and I'm so glad your on the TOP train!
You did it to yourself. Now you have to listen to Car Radio. And you’re correct, their live shows are incredible. Whatever song you react to, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to just go ahead and watch it live.
He is wearing that shirt on every concert when he sings this song and they change clothes almost for every song... their concerts are so dope... and to really understand them you have to listen to more songs and stuff... oh and Josh (the drummer) is as loved as Tyler (the lead singer) cuz in some bands no one cares about the drummer but in TØP WE LOVE JOSH HAHA 😂
I think I found one of my new favorite reactors right there! love how you actually listen to the lyrics and analyze them and that you also talk a bit about production. very good job 🥰
The line about only having control when playing live seems like such a blessing in disguise. I just starting down the rabbit hole, with Lane Boy my current weird brain scratch favorite, but it seems like they have had incredible moments with their music live, unplugged, stripped back, and any other way they feel free to really express and create. Great reaction.
Here bc it was on my video suggestions bc I'm a twenty one pilots fan thx to my daughter that is a huge fan! Glad you enjoyed it! Their songs do include references to each other. You stumbled on a great UA-camr man, take a look through his other stuff, Eminem, NF, Lupe Fiasco, Patreon requests. Gives great long-form perspectives on every vid!
Twenty One Pilots are insanely good. Josh tears up the drums and Tyler is a lyrical genius with a voice like butter. I understand what you mean about when music gets played non stop on the radio. But these dudes work their butts off for their fans and especially during a concert. They’ve got a few songs that really gained them some fame and attention but they’re so much more than that. I’m headed to my second show in two weeks because one just wasn’t enough.
Twenty one pilots are sick bro! They have A huge following, and they tell a whole story throughout their albums. He also has his insecurities and has his alter ego he names "blurry face" he pains his hands and neck to show that

I saw their concert last year at the summer festival in Quebec and I fell in love with the group. Their concerts are LIT. They put like a flaming car on stage and Tyler was so into it it was awesome. (I also almost had a heart attack when I saw Tyler on top of a 15 foot tall beam screaming "AND NOW I JUST SIT IN SILENCE" from car radio)

That kimono is one of his most iconic outfits. It's what he wears when he plays ukelele in songs like Ride and House of Gold. Btw Morph is the song from them that brought tears to my eyes in concert. My favorite from Trench, and it's hard to pick just one.

Hey Thirdearnest I LOVE your channel. I’m a really big fan of 21 pilots and I think you should turn this into a series. There’s actually a storyline to all the TØP songs. They created a whole fictional world through their lyrics and music videos. If you do want to make this a series you should definitely watch ride, stressed out, heavydirtysoul, fairly local, lane boy, jumpsuit, bandito, levitate, Nico And The Niners, and leave the city are just a few. I hope you continue reacting to TØP they’re a great band!

I'm for SA too, and I can confirm that our radio stations are soo lammeee. I saw Twenty One Pilots at the AT&T Center, it was the BEST show I have ever been to, and this song live, WOAHH! Their songs are very much worth the listen. They have so many great songs that "get no radio play."
Dude, I just watched your migraine reaction as well as this, and why the hell are you so cool? You react so perfectly, reiterating what was said in a way that's digestible and confident, and relating it to your own. Also you just sound really respectable in a sense, and stay completely objective, and I love your content. Just had to subscribe after two dope videos. Keep it up!
Amazing reaction!!! U def slept on 21 pilots they are must hear, very deep metaphor type song, take no song for face value its always a deeper concept..i would start with.. Car radio Stressed out Ride But thewhole Blurry face lp is nice and thats where i feel the lead singer-songwriter bring his alter ego out which is called blurry face
Their fan base is pretty epic. But the concert experience is like no other. So much energy! Keep going down the rabbit hole. You will be happy with your trip.
One year later and here I am watching your video, and I'm enjoying it as! English isn't my first language, so I never got all those messages from their music, only the overall concept. Thank you for enlightening so much (the comments also helped a lot) - you're just making me love TOP even more :D
Great reaction and commentary. :) I've been going to concerts since I was 14 (I'm 56 now) and these guys are the best. Thank God they came out when I had money so I could travel to see them. lol My wife, daughter (25), her boyfriend and I have seen 9 concerts in the last 3 years. So yeah, their live shows are AMAZING! :)

I saw TOP open for Fall Out Boy on their Save Rock and Roll tour. I had no idea who they were, but I loved them immediately. Then about a month lot so later, I heard that Stressed Out had been playing on the radio. (I been listening to the radio intermittently for a long time)
NF and TWP I love it. I get so excited watching people react to some of my fav artists. They are both so similar in terms of telling their truth and connecting a larger story. Both come from a christian/uplifting upbringing as well
YOU are very good at this! I really enjoyed the couple of videos I have watched. I'm a FAN of TOP, deeeeep, like so deep. You already know Tyler is so creative and talented, and Josh as a drummer--SO SICK! But my undying love of these boys is because of who they are as people. Real, funny, entertaining, just incredible people.
AH yes! See them live! I've done it eight times. I'm an old lady and I've seen a ridiculous number of concerts. When I walked out of my first TOP show, I intentionally took a few days to think about this, but I finally decided it has been THE vest show I had ever seen. Indescribable.

Keep it up!
I used to go to 3 or 4 concerts a month and they are the best concert I have ever been to. I can't wait to watch ur other 21 reviews!
It's great to look back to the day you joined the clique😁
Amazing reaction!!! U def slept on 21 pilots they are must hear, very deep metaphor type song, take no song for face value its always a deeper concept..i would start with..
Car radio
Stressed out
Ride
But thewhole Blurry face lp is nice and thats where i feel the lead singer-songwriter bring his alter ego out which is called blurry face
Loved the reaction! I can’t wait for more top reactions from you.
Their fan base is pretty epic. But the concert experience is like no other. So much energy! Keep going down the rabbit hole. You will be happy with your trip.
The album this song comes from has a storyline that goes through it, but the list is from verse 2 of “Ride” which was one of their radio hits
What Josh plays on drums is basically the genre "Drum and Bass"
Yes!! I've been waiting for this. I knew you would like them.
One year later and here I am watching your video, and I'm enjoying it as! English isn't my first language, so I never got all those messages from their music, only the overall concept. Thank you for enlightening so much (the comments also helped a lot) - you're just making me love TOP even more :D
about time :) amazing band your gunna like these
Nf quotes top in one ov his songs :)
UA-cam knows I’m addicted to these videos. I just love peoples reaction to T.O.P. 😭😍😂
7:00 "I bet you in concert when they play this song... DOPE guaranteed."
This made me smile cause of what happens later in the music video
Great reaction and commentary. :) I've been going to concerts since I was 14 (I'm 56 now) and these guys are the best. Thank God they came out when I had money so I could travel to see them. lol My wife, daughter (25), her boyfriend and I have seen 9 concerts in the last 3 years. So yeah, their live shows are AMAZING! :)
Man! That’s amazing! Also love that you still jam concerts with the fam! Crazy bonding moment for y’all!
@@TheThirdErnest You nailed it. Going to the concerts together is what makes it so special. Saw them at MSG on my daughters 22bday and I got engaged before the concert in LA last year. :) Thanks much for the reply. You made my wife's day by responding. :) Keep up the good work and all the best to you and your fam as well. Thumbs up!!
Sooooooo glad you are now reacting to TØP!! Start with Ode to Sleep and Car Radio before listening to the newer songs.
Insane you already have 15 in that tier! Congrats!
I saw TOP open for Fall Out Boy on their Save Rock and Roll tour. I had no idea who they were, but I loved them immediately. Then about a month lot so later, I heard that Stressed Out had been playing on the radio. (I been listening to the radio intermittently for a long time)
I can confirm that their concerts are indeed sick as frick. They make everyone get low and then jump up when the beat drops each time
Best concert I have ever experienced was a Twenty One Pilots show!! Can't wait to see them again someday!!!! 💗💗💗
EA3...you gotta say HELL YEAH to that drummer! !! That was gorgeous drum work!!! Thank you Kelly!!! Nice!!!😮💕😀
God I love watching new fans getting sucked into the rabbit hole that is TØP...
😉😉
Yea bro look forward to your Twenty One Pilots journey, they got me through some ruff times...Good shit!
here 2 years later
You talking about being put off by Hype made me think of TOP’s song The Hype.:)
YEP 🤣🤣
This song- live- is straight fire! One of the best songs that they do live!! You gotta see them live!!!!
