Dare I say it, 2018 has been the best year for Monstercat since 2014. I was a little skeptical of the Uncaged/Instinct split at first, but it's allowed the label to get more diverse and allow for more creative songs (Smog and Fire Flower, for example), whist retaining its identity. And the tracklist on this year's Best Of comp reflects it strongly. We've even got 2 songs from late 2017 on here, which is a first I'm pretty sure. Overall an excellent year for Monstercat, here's to 2019! Also quick shoutout to KarmaMoonshadow for the album artwork, it's absolutely amazing.

This year, if he released more, he would've had a chance being on here, however this year had alot of good music. I find myself not voting for him unfortunately this year. So many people didn't vote for INTERCOM because he only released ONE song this year. But it's a really legendary song and pretty worth for replays anytime.
And if your either on a laptop or computer itself, press 8, is where the tasty intro part of Disarray by Bad Computer starts playing (with the way the bars move). :) Yes, I was pressing all the number keys for the fun of it while playing this mix (just to see where they lead too), I know 0 obviously leads to the very beginning of many people's favorite one (Overkill), but other than that, 6, 8 & 9 were like perfect option number keys to press, at least in my opinion.

This year was probably the worst one for Monstercat in terms of subscribers gained but, who really cares, the releases were always amazing and each one better than the previous. My favorites ones are for sure "Crab Rave" and "Bliss on Mushrooms".
Probably because people realize that its all continuing to sound the same. Actually, Syfer has more diverse songs than pretty much anything this year. Instinct is the same just with soft stuff. Nevertheless, there are some really catchy songs like Hate Being Alone , Overkill, New Horizons, and Lost in Space.
I agree by the way, such a perfect year on Monstercat, I appreciate how this main channel usually has all the typical heavy Monstercat vibes (fun for while gaming too) while the other one for typical chill music itself (perfect for when it's daylight as well), I especially loved most of the albums this year too, especially IV1 and UV5 (those were automatically the BEST and enjoyable album compilations that I ever listened through, this mix here is great too of course). :)

RIOT and KUURO was really awesome this year, but Grant - The edge, no words.....just makes me cry every f**king time, 2018 for me is one of the best years for the label, you guys are really incredible!!
It's too bad that Murder by Soulji didn't make it on here (since I've been listening to that song a lot), but I'm still glad that Nitro Fun & Infected Mushroom made it here.
Finally Infected Mushroom is getting the recognition they deserve. These guys have been making music since 1996. Please put that into perspective. I've heard them change so much, but it was never to sell out on what was popular and it always sounded uniquely them. I'm so happy for them. Also interestingly they have the longest song on this list, by more than half of some other songs.
This is what I've been waiting for. Monstercat really hit the ground running this year and this is not just The Best of 2018 to me. This is the Best Of Monstercat Uncaged. Can't wait to see what Instinct does for this year and for the years to come. Much ❤❤❤ to the big cat. Monstercat Lyfe!!!!!

Cool! But you might wanna check older songs from MCAT. They truly are amazing. 2013,2015 were amazing years for this channel imo.

Just a great year for the label, Giving me new top notch songs every month to listen to making this year very diverse (with music anyway)

So many people didn't vote for INTERCOM because he only released ONE song this year. But it's a really legendary song and pretty worth for replays anytime.

Yes, I was pressing all the number keys for the fun of it while playing this mix (just to see where they lead too), I know 0 obviously leads to the very beginning of many people's favorite one (Overkill), but other than that, 6, 8 & 9 were like perfect option number keys to press, at least in my opinion.

This year was probably the worst one for Monstercat in terms of subscribers gained but, who really cares, the releases were always amazing and each one better than the previous.
My favorites ones are for sure "Crab Rave" and "Bliss on Mushrooms".
Probably because people realize that its all continuing to sound the same. Actually, Syfer has more diverse songs than pretty much anything this year. Instinct is the same just with soft stuff. Nevertheless, there are some really catchy songs like Hate Being Alone , Overkill, New Horizons, and Lost in Space.

I agree by the way, such a perfect year on Monstercat, I appreciate how this main channel usually has all the typical heavy Monstercat vibes (fun for while gaming too) while the other one for typical chill music itself (perfect for when it's daylight as well), I especially loved most of the albums this year too, especially IV1 and UV5 (those were automatically the BEST and enjoyable album compilations that I ever listened through, this mix here is great too of course). :)

Finally Infected Mushroom is getting the recognition they deserve. These guys have been making music since 1996. Please put that into perspective. I've heard them change so much, but it was never to sell out on what was popular and it always sounded uniquely them. I'm so happy for them. Also interestingly they have the longest song on this list, by more than half of some other songs.
