    Best demo of this pedal ever - and one of the best modeling pedals ever made, if not the best under $5K, IMHO.

    It’s rare to find such a good reviewer on these pedals. Everyone just talks and talks but you have the perfect mix of talking/playing. Buying this pedal based off this review! Thank you!

    Best and most professionally produced line 6 hd500 tutorial on the web! Your playing is great and you have excellent audio engineering chops and ears. Your video and instructions draw me in where many others just fatigue me. Thank you this is very helpful for my POD sounds. And thanks for comparing sounds with the same riffs!

    Just bought one for my home studio and need to learn the patches a bit better. But on the whole a great unit and you show what is possible with the 500x. Lots of video's out there saying other products are much better, maybe so. This sounds fabulous and show's you have spent time with it. Thanks for the video and you sir are an exceptional player ! The 61 year old guy from Canada says so! TC

    MY SUGGESTION TO EVERYONE... Peter's patches are unbelievable . I suggest you set your HD500X in the way you're going to use it while you are watching the video. for example, i set my hd500x into the POWERAMP section of my Fender DeLuxe loaded with a Celestian Cream speaker.... CREATE your patch while watching the video here with Peter .. you will notice the sound of your setup as you build the patch with him. I noticed when I added PARAMETRIC EQ my settings were slightly different then Peter's for the sound I WANTED.... it works great..... try it. HIGH 5 TO PETER for sharing his expertise and knowledge.... cheers

    Seriously considering getting one of these now. I was looking at either the headrush pedalboard or a helix lt to replace my old Korg AX3000G which has served me well for the last 7 years, but alas, is now gathering dust.
    I do have a Line 6 HD100 head going into a cheap cab but that is also surplus to my needs. I just want a decent pedalboard now and this one really does sound great and the ones being sold used near me are really affordable. Plus your tones in these videos rock!
    Definitely convincing me that the HD500X series is still quite relevant.

    Awesome Peter. Love your tone and music. That Highway 100 Custom tone sounds a LOT like Pink Floyd/David Gilmour. Love it . Keep it up. All the best to you. I dont have an HD500 but have a Firehawk FX and the HD500 editor to view the settings so I can try and dial in some of those tones in my EFX unit. Cheers

    Peter, you are amazing. Can you please do a video on how to use the podhd 500 with 4 cable method, but, I want to know how to use the tone of my original amp. I’m using a black star HT60 tube amp and I was wondering how to setup the pod as just a stomp box for effects like delay etc.. but only using my black star amp sound and not an amp modeled sound. I hope you get what I mean. I love he sound of my black star with Celestion 12” greenback. So it would be really nice to know how to achieve this. Even my amp clean, boost and overdrive channel sounds amazing...I heard you can set up the pod to just do that, switch between amps clean and dirty channel and engage boost. I only want the pod to give me things like a distortion pedal and reverb chorus delay etc... do not want any of the amp modellings. Please help.

    Very lovely playing the drums sounded great to you got a wonderful tone out of that thing everything I've been hearing up till now that sounded good but a little too much trouble you managed to get a really nice warm realistic tone out of it I've been feeling a little more inclined toward this one than the Boss GT 100 just cuz of the more options and cuz it sounds a little brighter than the boss sounds a little too muddy

    Peter, do you recommend going direct via XLR outs or 1/4 to XLR box. I've noticed a considered difference between the two. XLR outs always feel harsh to me. 1/4 seems to warm and be more organic. Lastly, being 2020, what units do you use now? Amazing tones here. Making me rethink the whole paradigm of gear and tone!

    • @PjhSA
      @PjhSA 4 роки тому +1

      Hi Jason, I find it really odd that there is a difference between XLR and 1/4 outputs. Mine sounded exactly the same. I don't know why you're hearing that there is a difference.
      I upgraded to the Helix in 2016/17 and then eventually switched to the Kemper in late 2018. It's not that the HD500X or the Helix wasn't good enough, I wanted to have the sound of my actual live rig available in a convenient way to record in the studio. The Kemper allowed me to profile the amp/speaker combination as well as the pedals that I use. The profiles were so close that i even put up a video on my UA-cam channel to demonstrate it.
      You can view it on my channel at ua-cam.com/users/PjhSAvideos

    Hi Peter! Great JOB I realy love it. In this momment I´m studing one course online With Coursera.Org for music production, I have one PODHD500x , and i don´t like the sound of presets patches connected direct to mixer, In My Case I use one ZOOM R16 for Recording.
    But yesterday I try make one pacth like yours, And WOW, this sounds like a guitar on a real amp. I have one ENGL Ritchie Blacmore, and when I play my first time with POD direct to mixer, And Only listen terrible noisey distortion, Very bad sound, I think I learn some more with your videos.
