I love the way this collab happened honestly. And the fact that Teddy mentioned the fact that he should collab with Jimin 2 years prior is amazing. He vaguely new Jimin looked up to him. This song fit Jimin perfectly too. Loved his overall tone he used and then he sprinkled in his high vocals. It was amazing. And apparently they will both be on music shows? And then Yoongi chatting with Taeyang on his UA-cam show, this BigBang/BTS crossover was long overdue! I’m obsessed with this song and makes me wanna dive into Taeyang’s music for sure. I’m so happy.. 😂

Wow❣️ I didn’t expect this combo of R&B with a funk vibe. First, I luv Jimin’s entry into the song. I don’t know Taeyang, but listened for 1st time to Big Bang. I’m not a K-Pop fan but I liked Taeyang’s voice and luv’d his style with Big Bang.
It’s a simple beat and dancing that’s not over the top, but I’d like to see more choreo. The more I listen to the song, the more I dance to it, the more I’m sure they could choreo a dance video that would be amazing. It’s pure vibe with a rhythm that you cannot not dance to 💕

I really love how Jimin started out in more of a lower register. His lower tones are so underrated.

I miss his old voice. Throwback to the song Save Me by Bts. His voice was super stable at that time, I think they (idk the ones in charge and stuff?) told him to sing higher :( which now his voice any old Army can see the big difference.

I don't know how to really explain this, but I feel validated. I have always felt proud to be listening to and following kpop over the past ten years or so, but this collab makes me feel validated. This is what music was made for. This is what I've been waiting 10 years for. For collabs like this and PSY with Yoongi and BTS with Coldplay and Jin with Coldplay. These collabs are why music is the most important thing ever in our lives.
The simplicity of the set makes it so stunning and gorgeous all its own, and it really allows Jimin and Taeyang to shine that much more brightly. They both look and sound amazing! I'm so proud!

Of course, it's should be Taeyang's music and video because it is in his Album. Jimin just gave it a different flavor of his own style of music. If you read the lyrics carefully, they are both singing to each other. As Taeyang said, Jimin motivated him more which got him back his confidence after seeing Jimin's relentless passion for making music. This Vibe does not intend to show case their respective incredible vocal caliber instead it show cases their maturity, smooth and refined artistic music such that they can make something beautiful out of simple notes and tones intentionally to create a joyful vibe. It's like you are listening to an effortless and smooth Usher (on Taeyang) and Jamie Fox (on Jimin), not to mention the bits and pieces of MJ's sound and moves. Hence, the Vibe. 💜💜💜
Taeyang is going to release more music this year. I'm not sure if Vibe is supposed to be a single, or a pre-release, but there's more coming!

Taeyang and Jimin my two favorites of all Kpop. (I’m not too much into Kpop btw. The only Kpop groups I listened to happen to be big bang and bts). Needless to say, this is a dream come true for me, and they did justice to both of my artists, imho. I absolutely loved everything about this!!!! My love and respect for Taeyang and Jimin skyrocketed even more if that’s possible

11:00 Wedding dress makes me feel so nostalgic. Wedding dress and GD's Breathe were the very first kpop songs I listened too. Its super exciting to see him make solo music again, and this did not disapoint. Taeyangs and Jimins voice made for a nice mix together.

First time hearing Jimin. Sweet voice. Taeyang isn’t different he’s just giving a nod to older western music. Yes he has better breathe control these days. I noticed that on Still Life. Taeyang has more music on the way. This song wasn’t the one he chose for the duet. Teddy suggested it instead.

Just think this was not the original song that Taeyang had invited Jimin to sing. Teddy pulled Taeyang away right before Jimin was to hear the song and told Taeyang not that song, Vibe, do that song and people will love it. Vibe didn't even have words at that time. Taeyang apologized to Jimin saying they would have to meet another time. A week later Taeyang and Teddy finished writing Vibe. This song almost didn't happen. This information is from the Rolling Stone interview with Taeyang.

PDnim- you always talk about visual language. here, the visual language represented by the lighting design (color, movement, timing, intensity, pattern, and direction) screams that Taeyang is back. with the introduction shot of both Taeyang and Jimin, the lighting director visibly shows us a sunrise. this concept represents multiple layers: the sun (Taeyang) is back and has risen again, the lyricism of the song itself mentions twilight and sunsets, the "aha" moment of two people vibing together as friends, partners, and lovers, the sunburst meaning in a more sexy way of the "little death," could even be symbolic for ushering in a new era of The Black Label. such a smart choice to use practical sets and lighting for this M/V. it really freaking works

It's a VIBE, no pun intended! I love Taeyang and Jimin so much, so them being together like this is simply beautiful! I was kinda surprised they went the simple and clean route with this, and how there wasn't much dancing, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless, they didn't flex their dancing and vocal abilities as much they flexed THEMSELVES vibing together, the two of them are the ultimate flex..

I think part of why Jimin seems so comfortable in this video is because it's essentially a simulation of a stage performance. Jimin becomes a different creature on stage, so this kind of video is in his comfort zone.

well rm said they have 100% control for their solo activities. and they prove it literally, start with jhope mv more, arson & his collab rush hour, RM with sexy nukim, wildflower, still life, jin with the astronaut mv. all of the solo mv is really different from bts mv as a group. and that's a good thing because it shows their own identity and not losing the core essence as a musician.
AND BTS is literally the biggest group in the world. they achieve what other group from any generation never achieve up until THIS DAY.
Taeyang's voice is so refined and polished. What a collab. I really hope there's more to this duo. I would kill for a track that would sound like a love child of Bang Bang Bang and Mic Drop.
What stood out for me is all the Michael Jackson moves Taeyang made. Even on a short clip he did with Jimin dancing, he wore a t-shirt with Michael’s picture.

Not only is it only about taeyang and jimin but everything is clean and simple. The dance is hard to me but it doesn’t seem to be anything crazy, the video is clean and straightforward, same with the song and lyrics even the structure of the song. It’s like a breathe of fresh air (that is if you didn’t have crazy big expectations or) especially if you just want less to be going on, and to not have to think too deeply, to be able to just vibe. I think that may be the point, this is simply a vibe.

If you notice the spot light, It must be Taeyang's work. The light effect he try to imitate the sunset. When he come out, it is day time. And Jimin come out is night time. Then they dance under the moon. Someone complain the mv is too simple, I think they don't understand what Taeyang try to express.
