I noticed how several people have said that Alex music sounds like ideas amateur musicians would come up with but would never follow through on. I'm starting to think that he is just SUCH a good musician that he can take those mundane ideas and make them sound like something professional, the way a painter who could technically do realism might want to paint in a more expressionist style to achieve a certain effect.
