Play is the Way - Book Group 3 - Why play works & how we foster more of it

Our book "Play Is The Way" brings together 17 leading thinkers on the importance of play in children’s lives. Our Book Group Series gives us time for longer conversations with the book’s contributors. In Book Group 3, we hear from two contributing authors who explore play pedgagy in action. Marguerite Hunter-Blair, CEO of Play Scotland, explains how play functions in children’s development and asks why this is often hard for our modern culture to appreciate. Lisa McCabe, Education Team Manager with Falkirk Council, describes her experience of implementing play pedagogy across a large staff team, generating hope for others to follow this example.
