Wow!! I thought this was going to be another random kayaking video… how wrong I was. Incredible cinematography and photography. Your love of life and nature is amazing. That bald eagle shot in the lush foliage was insane.
Honestly, rivers are some of the best places to be if you want to see a TON of wildlife. Life needs water! And the moving water is usually cleaner to drink.
@@johnnysolberg i did the whole thing so id say all of it! from itasca down to north of the metro is great. i filmed the trip if you wanted to see what any of it looks like. through the entire thing the headwaters are definitely the most beautiful stretch
@@escapewithjay That’s the dream man!! Maybe someday I’ll kayak the Mississippi. I always joked about it with my brothers growing up on family vacations to Itasca. So cool that you’ve done it!! You’ve inspired me! 😁

Thank you!! :D Just trying to share the incredible things that I see in this life.
Great video. The rum river is one of my favorites to paddle.
So much beautiful wildlife!!

What do you use to take zoomed pictures n videos and how do you keep it steady? Did you use tripod in the kayak?
Good Question! No tripod.. I just anchor my feet on the top of my kayak, rest my lens on my knees, and have a camera strap around my back!
Wonderful video. Just subbed. 🎉
Thank you!! :D
It seems like your whole first day you were fighting down trees, but not so much on day 2? Was that the case? Where did camp night 1?
Yeah you would be right. The first day was rough but once the river opened up a little, it was easy kayaking! I camped on the river bank night one.
I would be scared to take all that expensive gear out, but I've never tipped in a kayak before only a canoe.
It was some of the best photos I’ve taken! Worth the risk! 😁
I’m hoping to do this asap. May have some questions for you if that’s ok!
Ask away!
