Cool! I miss bikes from that era. The design, colors and simplicity made them awesome. I've got a couple 00's Stumpjumpers and they keep my local trails sketchy. Thank you for the entertainment and keeping these classics rolling.
All in all I like your approach and the end result, clean and nice, I personally will be putting double chainrings in front of my Tange Precision cromolly frame for better chainline and performance in my older age
Wow, that frame is a dream… and in such good condition. I’m always amazed by the color combinations in your builds. BTW I’ve seen Park Tool recommend using thread locker instead of grease in the brake post mounts in their cantilever setup video series, and I had one screw come loose in one of my bikes the other day (I always used grease), so there may be some truth to it after all…
Nice build. I'm doing something similar with mine. I think it's a 91. Just did a cool matte red to matte electric purple fade and slowly assembling using a blend of original, used and new parts.
Beautiful bike...but I would have to drop the seat post a little and raise the handlebar stem...I find the "downhill look" a little uncomfortable...Keep up the great work!

Danke!
Very nice work! I just dont have idea from where are you getting those all bikes 😅 I follow Kleinanzeigen almost every day and there is not very much there...
Amazing as always. Dumb question from a dumb American, what do you use a sprayer instead of a hose or pressure washer? I know that in some countries water is a precious commodity, and fortunately or unfortunately, depending how you see it, most of us here in USA have running water that we waste a lot of. I believe you are in Germany if I’m correct if not please excuse my ignorance. Cheers from Ohio.
Hey, thanks for that question! So originally, I started using the sprayer simply because there was no hose access in the yard where I do the cleaning. But, I have noticed that with the pressure that you get from that sprayer you get great results with much less water. So I can't claim that I started using it for environmental reasons, but it's a nice added benefit and I would highly recommend it!
@ interesting. Never thought that little pressure would do it. I used to use a pressure washer but on old bike it can damage parts that may be hard to find for replacement.
Thanks! Well, it all comes down to personal preference. The customer wanted a regular shifter, so the thumb shifters went in the parts bin. #yourbikeyourrules 🙌
You are right on the top tube length in relation to the seat tube. If you check out the saddle height, we made sure to go for a small enough frame size to ensure a good riding position. The stem also has short reach and high rise, so should be all good 👍

Agreed! Thank you and thanks for watching! 💕💙
Nice build ! Those old steel stumpies ride great.
Thank you! Totally agree
These are the type of videos I have been waiting for on UA-cam
That is great to hear, thank you! 🙏
Damn i love this Stumpjumper 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! 🙌
Damn hot looking bike. Really made it shine x
Thank you! Yeah, the magic of elbow grease 💪😄
I have a 1993 specialized stumpjumper FS love this 90s bicycles
Nice! 🙌

Thank you very much! Interesting point you raise. Never had that issue, but will look into it. Appreciate the feedback!
Nice i love they way it turned out. I have 3 Specialized mtb's myself.
Thank you! Nice! What year and model are they?
My first mountain bike, which I still own. Apart from a bit of chainsuck damage to the paint on the chainstay, still in pretty good condition.
You own this same model? That is awesome! Hope it still gets to experience the outdoors from time to time 😎💕
I really wish I could find one of these nice old specialized .
Fingers crossed! 🤞😉

Very cool! So you repainted the frame? Color combo sounds 🔥!
very nice !!❤
Thank you! 💚

Thank you for taking the time to write such a long comment! I think it's great you are still out and about riding your bike! Be safe!
@@bottoncino_bicycles Your restomod videos inspired me to rebuild this machine and to ride again, thank you.
@@pierredussf That is so great to hear! Thank you for the feedback and have fun with your rebuild! 😊
Sick build and video, love the vibes! Track ID on that banger 18:32?
Thank you! Hm, not sure off the top of my head - did you try and shazam it? It's definitely from the youtube audio library though
@@bottoncino_bicycles haha! yeah found it, thank you
Beautiful build, nicely done. Just needs some matching bottle cages!
Haha, yeah that would be cool! 👍
Nice resto !
Did you do any paint touch ups on the pink ? If so, what did you use ?
Thank you! Nope, paint is 100% original
What did you use to cover the cable that ran across the top tube?
It's a cable housing for exactly this purpose that some bikes - typically higher end ones had back in the day
Klasse! Aber sag mal, brauchts vorne nicht einen Narrow Wide Chainring?
Ach und was ist das für eine Politur? Nigrin?

Imagine those vintage wheel reflectors becoming expensive to collectors in the future...
Eagerly waiting for that day! Have a whole bucket load of them just in case... 😉

Haha, I guess the problem is the "almost" part 😉
@bottoncino_bicycles Yeah, I am also a bigger guy, so the right frame is not easy to find 😅
I would say a frame with intact paint even if it’s mate finish is great condition tbh.
If it's this old, for sure!
Don't forget to test ride the bike
👍
as a lot of people use the billy bonkers, they should make some with a better protective layer
Have you tried the folding tires or only the wired version?
FNA! :D

Beautiful build but you seriously ditched the 7s deore thumb shifter for a cheap ratchet one? Shame.
Thumb shifters rule!
Thanks! Well, it all comes down to personal preference. The customer wanted a regular shifter, so the thumb shifters went in the parts bin. #yourbikeyourrules 🙌
youll probably want a swept back riser bar on that bike only cause the top tube is so long on most 90s mountain bikes.
You are right on the top tube length in relation to the seat tube. If you check out the saddle height, we made sure to go for a small enough frame size to ensure a good riding position. The stem also has short reach and high rise, so should be all good 👍
Background music absolutely horrible had to stop watching.
Not using it any more on the newer videos, so do come back! 😂🙏
The music is so annoying and completely unnecessary.
Thanks for your feedback
you could mute and activate subtitles.
The cables across the middle top bar, what do you do to cover them? Normally those wires dont have any covering if I´m correct...?
Actually those are old cable housings that some higher end models had back in the day
