I had GT hubs on a LTS and remember the rear hub failing very quickly. A real shame as lovely looking hubs.

Never saw a bicycle with cantilever brakes at the bottom of the rear wheel before. Was there an advantage? Bike is good for another 30 years after this work.

I was just given a Karakorum GT - just needs the rear brake cable replaced and a little tlc. Its a hard tail with Rock Shock suspension forks.

I swear all makes and models of all the main brands bikes by year has damn near the same paint job at least the older ones did. Nails have the same colors I wonder if it's because they were all manufactured in Taiwan by the same factory. My giant Sedona has the same paint job as the same year Trek in my rockhopper has the same colors as that track right there.

Love the video but as I'm a newb to this, I have a stupid question. I'm doing my first restoration. What sort of grease should one buy for seatposts? Where else on the bike should one use that? Really like the quick release clamp you used. Cheers!

Very nice works there! But why don't you repare these scratches with a Paint??? I would not leave them open and to be noticed as scratches...
