    The Frusciante pedal. I use this with my Marshall silver jubilee. It’s exact for that “can’t stop “ sound

    I've had one of these for years. Other than my tuner, it's the only pedal that has never left my pedal board since the day it arrived. I use it always on with the gain at about 9 o'clock, just like Charlie, and it just fattens up the sound nicely. I mainly play single coil guitars but it works will with my Les Paul Trad Pro too.

      Cheers Dave, agreed - it's a great, common purpose pedal which does a good job of fattening up the sound!

      I've always used mine at about 2oclock into a jcm 800 and it thickens the gain almost like a dual rec!

    The thing about this pedal? It's magic.
    I'm finding that I love what it does to my signal so much that it's always on, forcing me to check out an actual 'boost' 😅

    Thank you for doing a review on this pedal! I've been looking for reviews for this pedal but it's been hard to find! I want this other than the Keeley Katana or Ep Booster!

      Hi mate, it's a Carvin CT4, very similar to a PRS. I put this video together on it ages in case it's of interest: ua-cam.com/video/IL6Z3Ai75y4/v-deo.htmlsi=ELZu_EW0RS75WqH1

    Sounds nice. I was thinking of buying one so I checked out this video. Sounds like just what I was looking for. My only question is,(as I can’t really tell from the video) when you increase the gain does it also increase the volume ? I’m just looking for a boost/ overdrive that I can control with my guitar volume.
    Liked the demo, have subscribed and looking forward to more 👍

      @Learnguitarwithcharlie  2 роки тому +1

      Cheers Ian, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, with the one volume control it will boost the volume and the gain. It's a good option if you want to use the guitar's volume control to control your sound.

    How clean is it really?

    • @Learnguitarwithcharlie
      @Learnguitarwithcharlie  3 роки тому

      It does depend how you use it really, if you want to use it as an entirely clean boost then it can work well. Equally, you can drive it to get a bit of dirt if that's what you're after. I suppose like you would with a regular amp.

      @@Learnguitarwithcharlie What theres just one knob how would I be able to do both?

    • @Learnguitarwithcharlie
      @Learnguitarwithcharlie  3 роки тому

      @@boimesa8190 I think, to be honest that if you're after driven sounds, you would be better with a dedicated drive pedal. This micro amp is good for boosting an existing signal but may not be the best solution if you're after overdriven sounds.
      I'm a big fan of the Fulltone Fulldrive or the Vertex pedals are really good at offering good amp-like overdriven tones. They may be worth a look instead.
