Just a note, for the reactor alone you need to be level 57. I haven't checked the level requirements on anything else as it is what I suspect to be the highest requirement.
Piloting 4 and Starship Design 4 are also needed.
Idk why people hate this game so much the ship builder alone is so fun
Ship builder is the only good thing about this game
Because expected a master piece, its bethesda its just skyrim in space, if you dont like that type of game yoy arent going to like this
@@f1shze4lot i have as many problems with this game as the next guy but saying that the ship builder is its only redeeming factor is a bit much, the ship and cqb combat is good and the story overall (especially all the side stories) are excellent, the voice acting is the best ive ever seen from bethesda though its still not the best in the entire industry (that hat goes off to baldurs gate 3).
What i find the game is sorely missing is the lack of mechs and rovers, mountains of useless food items, no survival mode, an intentionally dumb enemy combat AI (if you can believe the nonsense todd is saying, you can only use the "we intentionally made the AI dumb" excuse if you ever made smart AI to begin with, and let me tell you none of bethesdas games have ever made smart ai), ridiculously spongy enemies, pointless environmental hazards which feel like a joke. Brain dead friendly robots, skipped landing sequence on cities, very small vendor trade budgets...
i could go on and on but i dont wanna ruin my evenings play session, at work right now and im looking forward to finishing my minotaur class battlecruiser and starting work on the behemoth class, leviathan class, gorgon class, and moirai/umoja class in the future.

Battlecruiser operational
The slider on the right is to show to point at which the camera is focused, none of your ship should be in the negative. When you move pieces up and down with the R and F keys, make sure you move the point back to around 3 to keep the camera under control.
Also, moving pieces around with your mouse is done parallel to the grid, so always try to move pieces from a top down view to avoid pieces disappearing into the ether with the slightest mouse movement.

You could put one of the e m p cannons on the front to simulate the yamato gun; their VFX looks pretty simular and whilst it won't kill, it'll certainly cripple a enemy
