    Great set up the black one that's how you properly set up a park pattern slow big chunks of light

    The bracket holding on the light bar would look much better/ cleaner if it was black to blend in, it sticks out big time nonetheless bulid looks great.

    The only unmarked vehicle I saw with a lightbar had a ghost decal package.

      Avronator in Arizona almost all state troopers have light bars with ghost decal package on their white or black explorers. They look pretty cool.

    I said it before and I will say it again, unmarked cars make no sense with an overhead light bar.

    An addition of mirror mounts on the unmarked would have been a welcome addition, maybe the V-series. Overall though, very clean, not over the top builds. Nice work.

    Interior bars that have to go through tint will never be as bright as a light bar

    Did anybody catch the fact that the white Police Interceptor Utility with the Vertexe’s in the tail light housings are not synced correctly? It looks like the driver side is a triple flash in the passenger side is a double flash. Definitely off, but not terrible, I’m just pointing it out. Just a heads up 911 Rapid Response incase you want to correct that!

    Would’ve went with under mirror lights on slick top vs the vertex on front corners. Without a reflector, the vertex light is worthless.

    I didn't see the headlight flashers on the slick top. Maybe the camera didn't pick it up?

      Was flashing at end of video when driving. Ignition may have been off or something.

    I have a 2004 CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR that was used as a slicktop marked patrol car for a County Constable so it doesn't have any holes in the roof or trunk for antennas or lightbar but still has heavy duty wraparound push bumper mounted.

    Is there any departments that actually have unmarks with a light bar, if so, why?

    • @DoughBoy3380
      @DoughBoy3380 4 роки тому +7

      Connecticut State Police runs that type of setup.

    • @DoughBoy3380
      @DoughBoy3380 4 роки тому +2

      IIRC, the cars have always been take home cars. They had magnets they would stick to the cars if the received a call,and the light bar went in the back seat/trunk. I'm not sure if its still done this way.

      Connecticut or the ones In the video? I'm positive Connecticut dosen't run a bunch of marked units. A cursory Google search confirms that.

    1) Great video
    2) how about showing cars at night light up?
    3) reds still look orange/yellow to me.

    The white slicktop's rear hideaways in the tail lights are flashing different patterns. OOPS!

    Being a fan of law enforcement vehicles (but not a member of law enforcement myself) I prefer slicktop for unmarked vehicles, just because they're harder to spot. That said, I also prefer unmarked vehicles to not have law enforcement wheels or spotlamps, simply because those are even harder to spot, especially to a trained eye! I love the Durango that you guys did for just that reason: no exterior details to give it away, the ultimate "sleeper"!

    I love slick tops but I feel like the black interceptor should of been the slick top and the white interceptor should of had the overhead lightbar . Just my opinion because the black ones are for more undercover use and the white ones more for patrol use i guess thats just me lol but great video love your videos .

    So I want to ask, is there a meaning to if a cop car's lights flash red and blue vs white and blue or all blue? All the cop cars in the town I live in and what I've seen in the surrounding towns flash either all blues or blues and whites. What's the difference?

    • @ej_22
      @ej_22 2 роки тому

      I think there no difference but it could be personal preference of the department and or its history or officer safety

      Rick David has a point, though - it would be nice if flasher colors for different types of emergency services were standardized across the country ... easier to know who's coming up behind you on a rainy night lol. Okay, jk about the who's coming up behind you, but still would make some sense.

    1:08 Just MO but Ford almost had it right but they did 3 very stupid things. One is only having 2 small mounting locations. There’s enough to literally put a whole bar to touch both headlights and cover the whole top half of the grill. 2 is that these fake grills are so stupid they’re going overboard. Only like 35% of it is in use. The rest is highly noticeable plastic. If it were 80/90% open, I would get it, cause you could still mount lights up top. But wtf is the point in this 35% opening? And finally, the bottom half of the grill going up and out should meet the very bottom corner of the headlight exactly. Give it symmetry and organization, make it look cleaner. Looks like a bad drawing by a kindergartener.
