Making An Autumn Witch Hat

Halloween is almost upon us, so in the spirit of spoopy season, I've made this little video showing how I made my own little witch hat.
This is the first time I'm actually speaking on camera. Sorry for the awkwardness, I hope that it gets better over time and with more practice. Either way, I hope you like this small making of video! I had fun doing this, surprised I managed to film most of the progress for once! Now I need to make some witch appropriate attire and move into the woods to live my best cottage core life! I also forgot to add lining to the hat so I'll be doing that someday...oops!
Disclaimer too, I'm self taught, I dunno how to sew properly so I do make mistakes and use silly techniques from time to time.

I loved this. I got really inspired and plan to make one for work & gardening. I'd like to make one for summer with blossoms etc, it'd probably push me to try making some dresses as well.

This was the first of your videos I’ve ever watched and I loved it! I don’t watch a lot of videos on UA-cam so I wasn’t sure what to expect but something about watching you trace patterns, cut fabric, pin and such was so relaxing :) looking forward to more of these!

Snufkin hat. Sadly real leafs and berrys cant last too much, maybe some dry leafs with topcoat, or maybe an interchangeable ring of fresh flowers and plants stuff for that day.

where do you get the wire or what is it called?just any plain wire? lovely btw!
It was just some plain wire I had laying around yeah! Any wire with a bit of strength should work fine, it was just so I could pose the hat brim a bit. Thank you! 😊
I don't get how you were able to sew the brim with the wire in it. I tired and it was so difficult to maneuver
Ah yeah, that's because I didn't sew the hat brim 😅 Tbh I wasn't too happy with how unclean this hat was sewing wise, I'm sure with the right sewing foot and thin enough wire it could be done, but totally understand that it was hard to maneuver.

Wonderful video! One note though; definitely lower the volume on the music, it was competing with your voice, making it difficult to hear you. Otherwise, good stuff!
