Rig a robot arm in Cinema 4D for Control Rig! (Unreal Engine Tutorial)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 сер 2024
- This tutorial will show you how you can rig a robot arm in Cinema 4D for Control Rig in Unreal Engine. This rigging method focuses on using hierarchy, instead of binding a mesh with weights. This video will cover how to setup your meshes in Cinema 4D and then export them for Unreal Engine. We will then get into how you can set this model up in Control Rig, so that it is ready to animate in Sequencer.

I have ignored rigging my whole life. I am inspired to dive in. Thanks Dan!
Would be interesting to see how you rig such object inside UE 5.3 with the new rigging tool ;)
I started to put together a tutorial on the workflow, but if you rig inside Unreal it merges your meshes into one single mesh. So, that workfliw wasn't too helpful for the hard surface rigs.
@@cartandhorse oh my oh my thanks for this reply
Can you also control the robot in realife via this video?
Not that I am aware of, but I wish!
I don't understand where you get the pole vector?
The pole vector is just another control, just like the controls for the pivot points. I just used a different shape than the others, but other than that it is the same thing. I hope this helps!
can you model a baby arm holding an apple next and animate it? regardless thank you for this!
🤣
