Razzy....man she was a real pain. Took me forever to beat her. However, because of her, she gave me an appreciation for knuckles, and they became my favorite weapons...especially lightning ones like hers.
First game seems to use 8-bit style music, second game uses 16-bit style music. Pity this series ain't too popular, I only remembered it after looking through my old Nintendo Power issues and seeing the ads for it.
Man, this game was such fun...I might as well record the bosses from this game, too! What other GBA game can bring back fond memories of childhood without being a remake?
It's actually really easy to brake razzys knuckles u can break them with the claw knuckles which are I think the 3rd knuckle technique that Bronx gives u for knuckles
Have you fought the bonus bosses and super saiyan rampage rabbit? Because that rabbit can tear you a new one even if you have the best weapons and armor. I usually need to be in the upper 70s to even consider challenging that rabbit. Also in 2 You can choose to NOT assign the stat points you get when you level up, and instead go through new game+ with only your weapons to carry you. I usually assgin points in agility though because otherwise takes a long time to win fights.
what about the 3rd one?i know it's only in japanese at the moment but there's a translation going on for it.they've got the important stuff like the items and menu(s) and the story is currently 85% translated.and the project is still not dead.
Well, I played both on a real GBA and then later on, I played them again on an emulator. You should really try the first one, though. I like it more than the second, especially because I think it's a bit harder. That final boss in the second game was honestly such a pushover, also I think the music was partially better in the first game.
@AthosTheArchsage the weapons more exploration and some cut scenes make me like summon 2 better it kinda reminds me of the tales of series but 1 has better music in my opinion
Damn, I wish I was would have been here, when this conversation started. You probably got around to playing it now, I'm guessing? It's weird, I always used to prefer the first over the second one, especially after my first impression of the second game, which wasn't good. I just finished the first one, found out that there was a sequel, played it for about 10 minutes ( I know) and then turned it off because of how disappointed I was. I did get around to playing it again after that, of course.
You misunderstood me there, I wasn't talking about any of the bonus stuff. I'm talking about things that need to be done in order to beat the game and if you don't do them, you can't continue. What happens after the end of the game is pretty much irrelevant anyway. I mean sure, there's extra shit that you can get from beating the bosses (which I did), but the game is over, meaning you can't do anything with them anyway.
Actually I still havent. I don't use romhacks to play my games and I only own a legit copy of summon night 2. I have, 100% completed Summon Night 2 however. Even Super Saiyan Rampage Rabbit
well guess what?the story is at 99%.so it's nearly there.=) i can PM you a link to the site.you'll have to register quick but the site and project is still kicking.
lol swordcraft story 1 is better than 2 in my opinion, in 2 you had to do alot of leveling or else you'd be hittting the bosses 20's lmao. 1 felt more epic than 2.
Guys, Heat Ladle is where it's at.
It took so long for it to brake and did decent damage. Upgraded the ladle for shits and giggles and ended up with a god slaying "sword"
Razzy....man she was a real pain. Took me forever to beat her. However, because of her, she gave me an appreciation for knuckles, and they became my favorite weapons...especially lightning ones like hers.
Navigata but you could get her weapon tho
Rodrick Young lol if it was easy it would be fun
Rodrick Young to be honest breaking weapons ya needed a drill that bonus dmg to the weapon with the charge attack made getting the good stuff so easy
Rodrick Young but drill special attack did high bonus damage to weapons ^^ which was the true key to success
Rodrick Young ya when you hold the button
MOST FUCKING UNDERRATED GAME IN THE WORLD
Not at all, actually. In Japan, they're still making these and they're selling like crack, they just weren't as well received elsewhere.
How many more of the Swordcraft Story games were made? To my knowledge they had a 3rd one on GBA.
yes you're right but it's only i japanese, I THINK there's an english patch, google it if you want
First game seems to use 8-bit style music, second game uses 16-bit style music. Pity this series ain't too popular, I only remembered it after looking through my old Nintendo Power issues and seeing the ads for it.
I like making drills. Then breaking weapons with those.
Best battle theme, this always got me pumped up in the tournament
If you run and jump with gauntlets equipped, you're cool in my book.
Sounds like a Wily Stage theme.
"I must not lose the battle"
As far as I know, that's the name 🤨
Man, this game was such fun...I might as well record the bosses from this game, too! What other GBA game can bring back fond memories of childhood without being a remake?
OMG i remember this game! It sure was fun and loved this song!
Pratty and Sugar make this game awesome! This song is also one of the best tracks in the game too.
I imagine the battle scene in my head while this song is playing haha. Like at the end i will imagine a weapon cracking :p
It's actually really easy to brake razzys knuckles u can break them with the claw knuckles which are I think the 3rd knuckle technique that Bronx gives u for knuckles
saw gameplays about this and it saws awsome, the 3. and 2. has even cryes in it
+MekakuFaker i wil get in on my emulator soon^^
I... I loved this game.
JESUS CHRIST...I just beat Razzy on my first try, wow.
But the entire game is easy...
LUCKY-
Awesome
Only time I ever died in the entire game? The first fight with Chaves because I was a dumbass and didn't take my axe into the fight.
this game had amazing music
i wish it wasnt on the gba cause it had potential to be great :(
still love it though!!
I never touched axes the entire game and I still was fine (except when Parista kicked my ass a few times but yeah)

the only time i really died was when i got to the hundreth floor and faught that one dude but through the whole game i kicked ass
@DrClawberry wow, that just happened to me, first time playing
what about the 3rd one?i know it's only in japanese at the moment but there's a translation going on for it.they've got the important stuff like the items and menu(s) and the story is currently 85% translated.and the project is still not dead.
who didn't have there weapon break on chaves their fist time playing the game mine broke
does anyone know where i can get any piano sheet music for this? XD
Good to see you back!
I actually haven't had the chance to play summon 1, is it better than summon 2?
could someone give me the link to download this OST?

my first time i broke his alie woot
i have to disagree i enjoined the first game much more but 2 is still an excellent game
@AthosTheArchsage the weapons more exploration and some cut scenes make me like summon 2 better it kinda reminds me of the tales of series but 1 has better music in my opinion
When I defeated Chaves I got his sword because it broke.
Damn, I wish I was would have been here, when this conversation started. You probably got around to playing it now, I'm guessing? If you ever get back to ripping more music from this game, do you think you can get the regular boss-fight theme uploaded too?
You misunderstood me there, I wasn't talking about any of the bonus stuff. I'm talking about things that need to be done in order to beat the game and if you don't do them, you can't continue.
What happens after the end of the game is pretty much irrelevant anyway. I mean sure, there's extra shit that you can get from beating the bosses (which I did), but the game is over, meaning you can't do anything with them anyway.
then i will play it when fully translated until then i don't have and opinion on it
Actually I still havent. I don't use romhacks to play my games and I only own a legit copy of summon night 2. I have, 100% completed Summon Night 2 however.
Even Super Saiyan Rampage Rabbit
summon 1, 2 im done winning it but 3 i dont understand japanese words!! you know how to change the sub?
Hey, is SN1 harder than SN2? I hate it when sequels loose their difficulty, and it took me six tries to beat Chaves. xD
this game was fun and easy ^^ drill rules ^^
@ShadowPhoenix142 The only way I can win against Chaves is by breaking his sword. o.o
@DrClawberry
lol forreals?
Chaves :p
well guess what?the story is at 99%.so it's nearly there.=)
i can PM you a link to the site.you'll have to register quick but the site and project is still kicking.
8 bit age!
i beat chaves with the first sword because my little 7 year old cousin got me to level 15
Pokemon games :)
