    athletes will not swim in that river.

      They will if that’s the plan, with all the pressure behind them they won’t refuse to compete. But Paris NEEDs a backup plan to not put swimmers in danger of contracting disease.

    It will not be ready for the olympics. It takes years to really clean up a river. Hopefully though they manage to clean it up by 2025 like they said they would for the general public to be able to freely swim in.
