How did that viper stabilizer hold up? Havent seen a video review or honestly even many written reviews about them. At the price point if they're 90% of the mathews bridgelock performance im a buyer.
I like the gel blocks u are using its give a new look at what the broad heads do could u do that with a swacker and see what it does
Might do some broadhead tests in the future with them!!
Where do u get them from I live in Missouri they might come in handy at times
@@wickedkills0488 Ballistic Gel Dummy is the company!
What’s the total cost of this whole setup?
What’s his definition of not breaking the bank? Under $3000?
The goal was to show more affordable ways to Kit out a flagship bow and then upgrade down the road if you’d like! Had three ways I described it to customers when I managed an archery shop: Good $, Better $$, Best $$$. This is that better option! - Will
@@HuntStandcomponents can be changed over. Bows cannot. Would it be better to start out with a lower end bow and upgrade all the components to eventually upgrade the bow though? I’d like a “good, better, best” of BOW price ranges.
@@SomeGuyFromOKyou can upgrade either way! Problem with that method is you end up spending more in the long run! I always recommend getting the flagship bow if you can swing it and the upgrade the accessories as budget allows.
I've never seen a 'budget' build of a flagship bow that is actually anywhere close to budget.
I shoot Easton axis 5mm arrows 340 spine. At 420 grains. At 65# 28 5 draw length. They fly great and a tuff arrow
For the apex-gear single pin covert sight did you buy the detachable mount so you could use the dovetail?
It comes with it yes!
My brother Bugling Bob just set me up with this beauty at archers afield in Tigard Oregon. I will kill a large elk with it and post video later...lol!! I pray...!!!! Im so pumped its blowing through paper perfectly and he says its extremely solid.
Good luck! You will have to let us know how you do!
Cool video. I shoot the V3X 29 and i also shoot NAP HELLRAZOR fixed blade broadheads they are awesome . My groups at 60 yards are 2 inch group wt them.
You can’t go wrong with them!
Where are you in Texas? I want a 33 built.
DL, poundage, letoff percentage?
29” DL, 70lb DW, 85% LetOff
Mathews Phase 4... already broke my bank haha
Anyone know the model number for the QAD rest he put on this?
Here ya go Tim! lancasterarchery.com/products/qad-ultra-rest-integrate-r2-arrow-rest
On the sights website there are two available mount options, standard or detachable mount. Which is the one you have in the video?
Got the detached dovetail version!
You sold me on those broadheads. I shoot an old mathews dxt. I have to say that mathews is in their own class when it comes to "change" the profile of that bow is in a class of its own.
Yes they are! And let us know how you like those broadheads!
You've got me beat on age. I'm shooting an 09 or 10 Martin Cheetah. I did put fuel rims on an S-10 with a Tommy Hogg, though. That sight will probably go on my next bow as it's 10 years old and still a great sight.
@HuntStand I shoot a 28.5 dl what would you recommend the 33 or 29. I don't understand how 1/2 riser could make that much more stability. But would the overall length make a difference in a tree stand or blind? I have an old switchback xt that's 31ata so I don't know to go up or down in ata
@@michaelwalters8074 definitely would recommend you go shoot both side by side in your local shop! Some folks may notice a difference where others may not see much at all . It is a personal preference. I personally like the longer 33 due to the string angle difference. Hope this helps!
-Will
@HuntStand thanks for the info. I shot both and didn't think the shop set it up. I couldn't tell the difference. But do you think the 29 is good for a 3d and treestand hunting bow or could the 33 be the best do all. I wondered if you compared the stability of both and you noticed a difference
Damn build me a bow I’m getting ready to upgrade soon. I have a Mathew’s monster
Get that PHASE 4!
@@HuntStand I want to haha what did the other one cost with all the matthews furniture you out on it?
@@brandon22333 if you go everything Mathews you’re looking at around $2400
@@HuntStand that’s what I was figuring 😂 do you sell them or?
@@brandon22333 we don't. Head to Mathews website!
Anything with “Mathews” in it is not “not” breaking the bank.
Can’t ever go wrong with a flagship bow if you can swing it and then start on more affordable accessories to upgrade when budget allows.
I am going with the Phase 4 29 too. Putting a QAD Ultra HD, Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg 3 pin, Doinker stabilizer and Tight Spot quiver.
I switched to Bee Stinger stabilizers
Nice mullet!🙄🙄🙄🙄
Business up front, party in back! -Will
I love my phase 4 29
Same here!!
😂😂 man wish they'd come up w a slightly more legit names other than phase 4 and vx3. Smdh but w a name like Matthew's all you can expect is something bland I guess. 😂. They make good stuff I shoot hoyt tho. 🤣🤣 stupid names there too like RX3 thru 7? And power max. Cmon man. Just a gripe I'm sorry boys 😂. New tech going into these newer bows is pretty interesting stuff.
My favorite was the XLR8 badass name for a badass bow!!
