This is my 8-1. I am what it says I am, I have what it says I have, I can do what it says I can do. Today I will be changing out a capacitor and contactor. I'll diligently perform, my mind is alert, this unit will never be the same, in Goodman's name, amen.
**Update ua-cam.com/video/MPbOilCNOPM/v-deo.html Just came across Klein's 3 inch reversible flip socket and bit holder. Would work great with the 8 in 1 stubby 👍🏽 amzn.to/3F6fP1m
For us non-HVAC folks, you can also use the 32303 14-in-1 adjustable length driver set the same way with the 7-in-1 nut driver set. A very cool way to save carry bag space and have everything handy.
Klein sells the long and short shaft together in a pack at Home Depot for the flip sockets (comes with the 1/4-5/16 on both) that fits the stubby, as well which gives you 3 lengths in the stubby. It's only been out 4-6 months though
I was a commercial electrician, but moved states and currently doing HVAC Controls and just wanted to say thanks for this helpful info! Love Klein tools as well!
I got the 8 in 1 hvac and find the 1/4 and 5/16 nut driver slide too bulky. Ends up not fitting in tight spots so i ended up going back to the 11 in 1 and using the shrader bit from the 8 in 1. Klein actually sells an 11 in 1 with the shrader out of the box.
@@quietgameplays8246 mine started sticking, but I put some bits besides Klein in it and think it was my fault. I put the Kleins back in and it’s been fine.
I own a majority of the tools that you presented and I can definitely agree that these are essential for the trade. Salute to you and I wish you the all best. Safety 1st
I used to always be on the hunt for the best multi till I came across the hilmor one. Picked one up at supplier here in Ontario for like $13 and grabbed a second one when I saw it again. For me worked the best. I rock that with the reversable 5/16 and 1/4 6 inch nut driver and milwaukee stubby multi in my everyday. That's a cool setup though gotta look into those
The more I use my seven-in-one flip socket extension the more I fall in love with it. At first I was like whatever. Now after using it for several months I now think this is very nice..
Yooo just wanna say thank you man!! I’m about to purchase my first 14 in one set before school starts up. I’m coming up to my lash year of hvac at my local community college
This was very helpful ! I'm starting a new facilities maintenance job on Monday and will be doing a very wide variety of work. This will help me shrink my edc tool pouch/bag and keep it from getting unnecessarily heavy, ha ha ha.
Have all the same drivers and bits including dewalt, all bought in same order, most recent was the Klein multi nut driver set without handle. However don’t have the new stubby nor new 14-1 drivers and love the ideas on consolidating!!
When breaking king valves open I normally use a allen wrench first so I don't break gears on my service wrench until... I bought that klien electrician ratchet with MulWark Hex Head Allen Wrench Drill Bit Set 20PC (10pc Metric & 10pc SAE), 2.3" Long 1/4" Diameter Quick Release Shank Magnetic Screwdriver Bit Set .... now i dont need to lug around those bigger allen and leave them in van... that klien ratchet wrench gears are very durable
The tolerances on the DeWalt are much looser than the malco or the Klein, I'm a sheet metal guy and almost all the ductwork screws are 5/16 and they wobble like crazy in the DeWalt drivers
Never been a fan of the HVAC specific drivers. Do you not always have a thermostat screwdriver with a core tool on you? No need to allow idiots to touch a shrader core with the ability to easily apply that much torque… Already have em on your core tools for quick evacuation and recovery as well lol
I would lose em, better to have more than not any. Plus I rather have bits I'll actually use vs ones I wouldn't personally. I don't need all those square and torx bits
@@ReliableHVACR Not arguing that necessarily. Not pulling a shrader with that unless a system is flat though, otherwise you’d be using your core tool that I assume you have so at best it seems redundant. As to the other part I suppose it depends on what you work on. The Robertson is handy on rare occasion and the torx can be used on some boilers I’ve worked on.
@@codythompson9035 yeah usually flat or just to tighten a bit temporarily but for sure core tool all the way. I don't work on boilers or anything fancy 😂 just RTU's and walk ins for us
Warranty is nice that they replace their tools. But, it cost me$21 shipping. I exchanged the 14 in 1. The tool cost me $22 not worth it. I could of had spare parts and a new one, if I just bought it.
Halfway there, on this screwdriver. 🔩🐓 Home depot where I live, is always sold out. I did get the Flip, 7n1 Driver & Finger Ratchet. - I finally got the screwdriver and stubby one today in a bonus kit. At Home Depot. It wasn't the HVAC one, it was the Electrical Version. But that was close enough...ill get the HVAC one later. - Thanks for sharing and the demonstration.
I quit buying expensive all in one screwdrivers. Mainly because if you loose a tip, you pretty much have to buy another all in one. So now I just buy the all in one from Harbor Freight. It’s good enough, and if you loose a tip, a new screwdrive4 is only a couple of bucks, and most of the time you can get a free one with a coupon.
I love klein tools and meters. I like that they are making hvacr technician tools and (duh) mainly for electricians with all respect. I will soon purchase them and meet Matt klein (the 4th) the owner of klein.
Bro I want to love that thing, but the shaft gets stuck all damn time in the collar, or one of the suckets gets stuck on the retaining star thing by the magnet from behind and it just sucks. I have two of them from different places and they both do the same thing. Full disclosure: I'm using the handles that came with the set.
I know what you mean, I started noticing it and it's every time now. That's the only issue I have as far as the sockets getting stuck. Definitely nice to have in the bag but I still carry a few different screwdrivers to avoid grabbing that one all the time

You can also just buy the 20 in 1 lol
You kind of missed the point of why. LOL
Literally ready for every situation, Dewalt + Klein all day 💯
Klein has awesome tools, but there is no flip sockets from Klein in metric :(
I'd be a buyer today if the sockets and allens were available in metric sizes.
mine broke out in 3 months lol. the plastic broke inside for some reason. never let it drop it
Does this fit on to the Milwaukee ratcheting screw driver? The whole hex shaft to be exact

I like the klein screw driver. Someone mentioned the handle getting sticky as a result of use. Recommended that they change just that.

I'm late to this video but can you put the bits out of the JB universal locking cap keys in the handle
that stubby klein is one of the best things ever...
Been running mine similar (regular 14 in 1 instead of HVAC) and really like it. Great Video!

Do you know how to convert the Klein ratchet wrench into a refrigeration wrench? I have seen it in one of the other UA-camrs videos
It’s quality hvac. I have tried messaging him but nothing.

I have the exact same set-up because I bought both as soon as they came out, The only problem I find is the fact that the handle doesn't ratchet.
Klein makes a 3 inch blade for the flip sockets for the stubby handle and is impact rated. Part # 32766. It’s currently just under $6 on Amazon.

Recently purchased the driver set and it took all of 3 days for the magnet to fall out 😔
Claim it under warranty
What's your advice to me to be successful in this trade I'll be 3 years in May, 20th
I have that same identical set-up ... I guess great minds do think alike 😂🤣😂 Thx ...
I feel a lack in the variety of the bits. It looks like a great tool but i wish they were a lil less basics in the bits.
