- Are you looking for a hidden gem in Utah? If so, you might want to check out Blueberry Azurite Crystals!
Azurite is a natural blue colored mineral that forms along with copper and other things. This mineral is known for its beautiful blue color and striking crystal formation. This location near Moab, Utah is the best for finding the Blueberry variety! So many can be found that you have a limit to one container to fill up with the tour group. What a fun location to go!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I'm so excited I'm having palpitations! I've been in that area 50+ years ago. So wonderful to see that area of land and vista again. Makes me feel young and vital when I get to ride along in your napsack!!! Thanks Crystal Hunter!!! And thanks Matrix...you mighty gem hunting dog!
hi, i know this may not be the same thing, but there are many mines that will ship gallon bags of natural or seeded dirt for rock hounding at home. I think this may help get that fix for you!
boy do i know how you feel! same here in a big way, the worse thing to get over is actually that i used to be so energetic , had to constantly be busy but adding not being able to go out rockhounding makes it so much worse. i swear i sometimes dream of someone carrying me out to a place like that so i could at least look! lol
Ditto!
You comment this same thing on each video...
Azurite is easily one of my favorite minerals, I am super jealous of all your finds. You guys had a great day
I need one
This is so cool! Utah is a diverse and stunningly beautiful place to visit and hound. Moab area is so awesome and those blueberries are delicious looking!
Aka the land from deuteronomy 34
You are SO lucky that you get invited to all these awesome mines where you can keep all the incredible gems and minerals you find! I'm super jealous!
I want to eat them so much that it’s concerning- 😂
Same😅
Do it! You'll get them back eventually. 😄
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I know...they look like kid's cereal right!! I always keep mine in a locked glass care along with my other potentially dangerous for children and pets. Whether it be potentially mistaken for food or medicine, choking risk size, toxicity or slight radiation risk.
Always a good idea to be safe while allowing pebble pups to experience and immerse into our rockhounding hobby if they wish. Peace be with you.
kable
😂😂😂
Looks like berry crunch
Absolutely gorgeous, natural blues esp when shown all cleaned up. Truly are 'gems'.
Blueberry fields forever.
Those were so phenomenal finds! Those blueberries were epic! So much fun!
Early 70's, I'm 10 years old and spending the summer with grandpa. He was a consulting geological surveyor working the southwest, including the Moab area. The exact place this video was taken, I was there 50 years ago. My gem, rock, and mineral collection was booming, and I gathered a shoebox of excellent specimens from there.
Flash forward ten years, and I'm moving the collection. I pulled the box off the shelf, and it was empty. Just a teaspoon of black dust was all that was left. The point is that Azurite and Malachite (the patina on copper) is a copper carbonate and can sublimate. Should of been airtight storage in hindsight.
bummer big time. glad you posted though so that others can learn from your terrible experience.
So it just disappeared or evaporated?¿
Oh no.... what a bummer! Good to know though. I never woulda thought that would be a thing.
How can you store them? Should they be in water or a vacuum bag or is a ziploc enough?
@@jcarry5214 I don't know, air tight would be a start
Now this is the stuff that I would love 💕!!! I love the color blue and these are beautiful! You found some beautiful stuff and that piece found at the end was breathtaking! I loved the color of it. Thanks for this video! This is definitely on my bucket list! 😄💙🐬
Wonderful finds for the day. Well worth your time and effort. Nice to see you and the Camping Couple together again. Both of you guys rock it!!! Love watching your videos as often as possible. I live vicariously through you until I am able to Rockhound on my own. 😁
You can crack those blueberries to reveal a stunning geode!
I've got a few of those in my collection and they are what people ask about the most. Keep the videos coming
WOW! What gorgeous colors.
Happy New Year from New York Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's on You're Crystal Hunting Adventure I can't wait to see Where and What you Find Next 😊
Yay!!! I was wondering about you yesterday. I was out at Haunted Ridge yesterday realized it had been a minute since I saw one of your videos. No judgement lol making videos is hard work and there’s never enough time. Great stuff! Safe travels Bryan
Thanks so much for sharing these with us. The large blueberry with the black hæmatite specks at 9:57 made me think of a model of good ol' planet Earth. Definitely my favorite of the day, though of course 14:48 onwards, the cluster is just so beautiful. That blue is just phenomenal.
I thought the same! I'd call it an azurite globe :D
I found some of these stones while in Moab. Thank you for the identification.
I always look forward to your vids.
World Class find at the end. Epic!
Wow! This vlog is really neat! Thank you
Another Great Expedition!
This one makes me want to go there on vacation. I love malachite and azurite. Those two together are amazing.👍🏻😊
Even if you don't get any azurite you won't be disappointed Utah's a beautiful state. And Moab has many special memories for me. I wish I had known about this place last time I was there. I broke down and ended up spending four days waiting for a part 😀 walked all over town.
I love azurite geodes, the deep vibrant blue with crystals sparkles like stars~
Those are gorgeous, love the blues
Oh muh gawdddd!!! They're sooo beautiful 😍
That boulder is wowzers!
Amazing video!!
Thanks for sharing!!
You could spend a lifetime exploring that area, and there’s mineral specimens there too, wow!!
Gotta put this place on my bucket list!
This video rocks!
Your mining dog Matrix reminded me of Twain's short story "Tom Quartz" about a gold mining cat.
😮😯 What a big beautiful rock !
Amazing find!!!
I would think that instead of throwing them all into that cup there you would have keep the best crystallized blueberry separate from the other so they would not get damaged.
This video is filled with color. Very enjoyable as always. Matrix approved! 🤘
Matrixmania, forever 💥💥💥 love the videos ... Happy New Year 💕
A friend of mine gave me one like that because I love my gems and minerals, but after showing his boss the pics he asked for it back as it it's better than some of their display pieces from a historic mine here in Australia... so cool to hold and look at them isn't it!
Oooohhhh these are beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Colorful stones seems so cute❤
Azurite my fav. one of the most beautiful.
Utah is also famous for a delicious berry pie too. I've never seen anywhere else. Yum yum! 😋😋
Love your excitement ha
Love that blue, love the green
Awesome find guys that big one was beautiful I 😮would love to have some of those too ❤
I have friends that I just visited a couple weeks ago who live about 2 hours north of there, and this fall sounds like a great time to take another trip to Utah and do some digging myself.
New Subscriber. Also checked out your channel and it looks awesome. Cant wait to watch more content!
Really beautiful
These are so cute!!!😍😍
Those would be awesome to put into a fish tank or reptile enclosure. Good stuff as always dude!!! Happy New year to you and yours from me and mine down here in Waco Texas!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I've also been an avid aquarist fresh and salt water....always check for potential toxicity risk before adding rocks you've found into your tanks. As the rocks react with water some chemicals leach out that can kill fish and plants. Always check online or with a seasoned aquarist to be safe.
Pretty! They look delicious!
Perfect sound effect when puppy tinkled on the rock lol
wow they look edible.
the color is so stunning right out of the ground!
Oh my...I gotta do this. Wish I could have met up with you. I'm north of Cedar City......not too far away.
How fantastic 😀 I'm sooooo jealous🥰
So many different things I could make with these.💙💙💙
Lil snowman!!💙💙💙

Those are probably my fav ❤
Wooo, Blue gem 💎
Frankenberrys!.....awalys love the blue on that mineral
Wow they are Beautiful 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Around Ray Pit in the Kelvan area I have found some nice pockets of azurite eggs and velvet malachite eggs.Looking like humming bird eggs setting on a pedestal among blue hairs like a nest. All found in softball sized mud eggs or ostrich sized eggs.Between Superiour and Riverside
area.
Saludos amigos!!! Genial el video!!😍😍👌👌
Best one yet
Awesome!
Where you been my friend 👍 watching your channel 👍 Hello from Virginia 🇺🇸🙂
Matrix said let's get her done ✅
😊 omg it’s so beautiful 🔮💜💎
Those are beautiful
I love blueberries
I found about 20 1-2 in diameter geodes at the Grand Wash in Utah in Capital Reef. Real easy to spot them on the trial and they have beautiful microquartz cavities. Some have cool volcanic ash in them but the coolest are the dogtooth calcite crystal geodes you can find. Utah is awesome
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: You lucky dog!!!
Be careful posting that. You were in a national park, they don't like to see or hear about people taking anything out of there. Just saying.
@@sheldonhatch8255 I was with my professor, 30 plus years, he enticed me to find them. Plus I was the only one with an eye to spot them. And honestly they aren’t worth anything, so no one will go there just to hunt
Thats a nice haul i would see most
They look like sweets, but i noticed lots of green gem like crystals on the ground when you were picking up the blueberries. Were they malachite crystals? You had a great day with so many blue crystals that are awesome. Thank you Bryan
Yes, malachite. A very beautiful gemstone
Nice, thank you 😊 🙏 👍 ☺️
Utah's a Rockhound paradise. I've gotta pick some blueberries in the near future
AWESOME VIDEO
I have one of these, & I'd forgotten what it was called. Now I know! Yayee!
I so wish the uk had places to find amazing things like theae your so fortunate
The very first tree that I mounted on a rock was on azurite. I should get some more. I wish that I was close enough to go there and get some. It looks like fun!
These are just stunning!! Can they be used in jewelry? And their value?
I see you grabbing all the Blueberries, and amongst them all is malachite everywhere. I'd be filling a whole separate cup of those 😂
They look like Cap’n Crunch!😊
💙💚💙. The cluster one looks like matrix’s profile
So cool
I have a chunk of azurite from Thailand and I've just gotta agree that that sparkle sparkle is insane tbh
A small shovel and a 1/8"mesh screen would be extremely useful, find them by the bucket full!
I bought a whole colored Geode the other day and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Looks like a big chunk of black chalk on the outside but it's inside looks like a rainbow of colors ❤️ I have never seen one before and just had to have it.
Amazing 🤩 I dream of doing what you do
Matrix, you are still the cutest puppy on UA-cam 💕
