I was so looking forward to this vid and you hit it out of the park! I knew about these but to see them side by side is a special treat indeed. I didn’t know some of those newsstand printings were actually on the newsstand. Usually further prints don’t work well on newsstands for reasons I’m not going to get into because it is long and complicated. I can’t wait for the next two parts. Epic stuff my friend.👏
Thanks so much! Your praise means a lot! Yeah, that 4th print of Superman 75 appears to have actually been on the newsstand. Weird right? Hope you enjoy the next two parts. Thanks again, Professor!
This is a great video! I’ve been collecting comics since the late 70s and 80s on and off however when this hit the stands it changed the way I collected comics. Such a great story and a fantastic time for comics as a whole. I had a pull list back then and had 4-copies set aside of the death of Superman still have 3 sold one for $100 back then couldn’t believe it.
Superb overview, Brian. This is one of my favorite vids of yours to date. The Doomsday covers are all so well done. "No stickers in Schoon's Comics." Lol! I'm with you on that.
Awesome Video! But you just ruined my night, I collected comics when I was a kid and this was one of my first comics too, but I got back into collecting about a year ago and I love searching for this whole series and I only have Superman 18 to get to have this whole series , but I had no idea all these Variant covers and now I will have to find them all but I guess that’s the thrill , I have a few of the Variants of the Reign of Superman but I had no clue there different covers, Either way all 3 videos are amazing done , great collection
Lol, come jump down the rabbit hole of collecting! When I started putting this set together I also thought I’d be pretty easy. Cheap and easy. Little did I know. That being said hunting all these books down was a joy. Good luck tracking them down. Thanks so much for watching!
I’m trying to complete a 9.8 graded run for the death and return storylines. I’m struggling to get some of these variants and multiple editions but am really enjoying the journey!
@@LoochMindReader that’s a tall order. Look up iconic_1s on Instagram. He has an amazing Death Of Superman collection in CGC 9.8. He may have some doubles.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I don’t have the Doomsday cameo issues in this set. I thought about it but I had to draw a line somewhere, ya know? Good luck with hunting these issues down.
These books represent so much for the time period. The beginning of the 90s implosion. I remember vividly the frenzy that the Death of Supes brought on. Always thought it was cool how they exposed the Doomsday character design with every upcoming issue👍
I inherently inherited 200 or more Superman comics 1991-1994 mint or better not graded cardboard and plastic sleeved. I have no idea where to begin. I also inherited same condition and storage of justice league.. about 30 copies. STARR run about 10 copies. Reign of the supreme 100 copies, funeral for a friend sets and partial sets. Action adventures, Batman with Superman… anyway I guess I’m asking for help and I like your style of videos
Hi. Are you looking to sell or just find out if you have anything worth keeping? If you want to send me some pics of the books I’d be happy to take a look and let you know what you have. Are you on Instagram? If so I’m under Schoon’s Comics.

As a kid, I had the entire Reign of the Supermen. And I think the newsstand death of Superman. I also had the hard cover novel by Roger Stern. At some point, all of these were stolen from me. Since, I've been slowly working on getting them all back. If you know anywhere to find these on here please let me know. I have a good majority of it but still missing some issues. Thanks in advance.
@@SchoonsComics well I'm missing the super one first issue. I found the others except that one. I have the entire funeral for a friend run. I have the superbly and supergirl cover. Get ready.. I will send pics
Not graded, mint condition , what’s the going price for that 75 super man still in the bag worth ?
Maybe $25
I was wondering if I should take mine out the bag or not.
Go for it. Comics are meant to be read and enjoyed.
You only have one copy of it? I bought several back then and opened only one.
