Your video is really helpful but At times, it doesn’t matter how hard you study.you also need to pray to God for success..
Yes you’re correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves.if you can’t study then get yourself a good help.
@@jessicaharry4360 Absolutely correct ..
I have a cousin who never studied much, she gives most of her time to her phone than studies.after writing the CNA test last month, she passed and I failed 😣.just found out she got her help from Mr Philip.
@@kylejane3264 sometimes hard work doesn’t pay,you have to back it up with smartness, I think your cousin understood that perfectly.
@@terrysimpson1531Talking about smartness, The truth is most FNP’s, A-GNP’s, ENP’s and NP’s you see today passed with Philip's help including my own boyfriend.
@@JavierRodriguez-fr4in Great insight , I appreciate the opportunity to get such knowledge on how to pass the CNA , I look forward to working with him and making him an alternative source .
As of July 2021 PPE (gown, gloves and goggles) are required with Denture Care. Skill #14. Ohio STNA.
These videos are helpful, but there are much more steps in the Ohio Nursing Assistant Candidate Handbook that can NOT be missed or points will be deducted!
Toothpaste is not meant for dentures and scratches/damages them. Just brush them with denture cleaner creme (or mouthwash) and rinse.
YOUR FIRED !!!!
You put the dentures in the Emisson (sp?) basin before cleaning, you don't hold them while you are getting toothbrush ready.
KEEP IN MIND…… These videos are from over 5 years ago. Every 3 years Skills are updated and important steps added in order to pass.
July 2021.
she doesn’t check the ID band, she used the same paper towel to wipe inside and out and turn off the water and clean it again with the same paper towel. And more...
Thanks for the comment! The video shows the skill as acceptable by Arizona standards. Other care details may vary from care facility to care facility.
@@AZMTI hi why dont you where gloves while your doing a bed bath the paitent could have a sickness that could you have never known about! And it could spreed to the person giving the bed bath
If it's a nursing home they wouldn't have an ID band anyways
This is one of my favorite skill.
I have another cup for the cleaned dentures and I brush the inside of both cups .....and I use antibact dish wash liq instead of toothpaste and rinse thoroughly
you wash with cold/cool water
She contaminated her gloves by turning the water off with her finger and not the back of her wrist when while she was drying the equipment - just a little detail I noticed. I was a CNA for over a decade in a nursing facility and just recently had to get dentures myself at 45-years-old!
omg! My teacher would kick me out of class...lol
she did a lot of "shaking" we were told not to shake the toothbrush etc....also, aren't you supposed to put the equipment away then take your gloves off?
yes true
In the class I am taking right now, we were taught to take the gloves off after cleaning the dentures, before returning the items because the gloves would be contaminated from handling the dentures before cleaning them. This skill (again based on how I learned it) requires washing the hands before the skill, after the dentures are cleaned, and then again before leaving the room. But each class is taught differently I guess. I do agree with the shaking of the toothbrush and Emesis basin though.
Tiffany Michon that's how I was thought too
Its different everywhere.
Nice job there!
one thing i noticed she didn't wash her hands at the end that would be red flag right there and teacher would get you big time for that.
She had gloves on, so her hands were not dirtied.
She didn't check the arm band to verify the resident.
Loan Tran she sure didn't
Loan Tran it's a skills that don't involve a patient so no need of call light or id
it's different for every state
Loan Tran I think that one don’t require placing a call light.
@@lynn1099 😱💀
Great video!!..Thanks;).... But what about call light??...forgot to reassure them with their call light.. closing procedure..it should always be within pt's reach ..right??...
She did reassure patient about the call light the end. Watch the video again.
you right.... if they making video... they have to make from the beginning to the end not half way
Nice video
She touched the faucet with her gloves multiple times, she dried the bottom of the emesis basin first then the inside and then used the same paper towel to dry the toothbrush and toothpaste. That can't be right.
I was taught to brush with a denture brush.... I was told if you used a toothbrush, it's an automatic fail...
Luna Sardina huh. any reason why? was there any reasoning behind why?
sanitized not handwashing???
its acceptable up to 3 times in a row and then you need to wash them
She didn't wet toothbrush before applying the toothpaste! Is that OK?
You clean with warm water not cold
We were told cool H20,not warm.
Warm water makes the dentures soft. You could easily remold them on accident.
She also use the paper towel to dry the basin and then wipe the toothbrush. She did a lot of stuff incorrectly.
sandy r. I saw that also
Ma'am you never use warm water. H2O should be cold when cleaning dentures
Did she need to put water in the denture cup
When taking out her gloves , there still a towel in the basin😲😲
Hi Iha. I'm not certain which towel you're referring to. The instructor did use a towel in the sink as required by AZ Board of Nursing. This procedure is done as the Arizona State Board of Nursing requires. I hope that helps!
AZMTI when she is taking out her gloves, towel is still in basin. However your video is very understandable, Thank you for uploading.
AZMTI I passed the exam, thank you for all the skill videos, which is very helpful. Thank you so much🙇🙇
Amazing! Great Job! We're so happy to hear that the videos can help.
In North Carolina it’s a lab skill so no manikin. No introducing yourself
emesis basin for?
Bridgette Love to set the dentures in while you prepare the toothbrush. You don't want to hold or set on a unclean surface.
ah! makes sense
THIS IS FOR AZ ONLY!! IT IS 100% CORRECT
She didn’t down down before starting
What is down down?
Unintentional ASMR
you failed that's not how this procedure go
Hi Timisha. This video followed the steps provided by the Arizona State Board of Nursing for testing CNA candidates. Thanks for watching.
She closed the water with the paper that was cleaning the supplies. Failed
You waste of water. Don't waste, please.
She already put on her gloves before turning on the water...automatic fail.
Hello! Those steps are not order dependent for your State Board exam. The key is making sure you put on your gloves. Putting them on first is acceptable. This skill has no bolded items so will not result in any automatic fails.
this procedure is wrong on so many levels
Hi Tiffany, thanks for the feedback. This Denture Skill followed the exact steps from the Arizona State Board of Nursing for the CNA License Exam. Other states, facilities or hospitals may perform the skill in other ways.
this is for az only
