I've installed alot of ductless splits and have said for years that the wheel assembly should just have a couple of clips that hold it in so you can easily take it out to clean. This is exactly what they should all be like. This is a huge selling point. Thanks for the video.
Here in Puerto Rico Midea has a huge market share. Appart from great performance, they have amazing support and warranty. Yes they are made in the same factory as many other brands but service and warranty from the dealer are exeptional. I say it from friends and family who have had great experiences with Midea.
Mr. Cool's Olympus series also uses this same headunit. Newer Senville Auras I believe too. Serviceability is the best I've seen on any mini-split so far.
What a great unit, and very well thought of. If only all other companies thought of this. Mitsubishi, and Fujitsu are great, but over rated. I have many midea hvac products and love them. They are stylish and sleek looking. Love their window units especially the U shaped inverter one. They need to come down on the size of these indoor mini split air handlers especially the length. Would be cool if they were abou 18 inches long instead of the 32 inches long. That could posdibly be accomplished with the use of microchannel evaporator coil, but first they need to perfect those microchannel coils as too many leak. I assume this unit uses the new R32A refrigerent as well.
Mini splits can service a whole house. But there are many factors you need to consider if you go down that route. The best thing to do is call a local company to review your home and see what options they can provide. In my experience the best comfort is always going to come with ducted systems normally. Although mini splits can be just as good if the home is oriented in a way that they can be maximized for proper comfort. Something to also consider is your climate. Mini splits and most heat pumps have issues heating a home past 0 degrees at 100% efficiency. If you have no other heat sources, the mini splits could fail to keep up in the coldest parts of the year. Typically adding a wood fireplace or wood stove resolves this issue in extreme conditions. But it is a factor you must think about as you will have to be ready to burn wood to keep the house warm. There are other things to consider but mini splits are amazing. I have them in my home as my primary heating and cooling system. Bills have never been cheaper. Also the zoneing capabilities are nice so my bedrooms can be whatever temp I want excluding the rest of the home.
Great vid taddy! Midea is slept on big time. Take a look at Bosch and then take another look at this one again…except for the price difference they are the same!
Not many people know that most brands are made in the same factory, if you look at the small details in other brands you can see that they are basically the same, for example most Trane units are made with the same parts as Midea
Midea is doing some well thought progress in the field. This is what engineers are supposed to do. Very refreshing to see.
Your right
@@TaddyDigest they’re new window units are gonna be revolutionary by not taking up hardly any window space. Very refreshing!

Perfect showcase as to why I am a dealer for Midea and the performance in northern Mn is phenomenal
What is the seer and eer for a 24k unit?
I think I might switch to midea now…
I originally saw this in the Cooper and Hunter units. Now I'm starting to see it everywhere. Makes everything so easy.
That's good to know.Thank you for sharing the info
Midea actually white labels units for Cooper & Hunter, so that would make sense.
@@JamesxRamirez yep. Midea makes most of the mini splits out there.
I love how easy it is to remove that blower wheel.
Me too

Wow! We are thinking of a mini split for our off grid homestead. How big of a place will it service? Is it reasonably priced?

Looks like a carrier mini split, must be made at the same factory.
Carrier ordered the mini split from Midea so that carrier model is manufactured by Midea
Nice!! Other manufacturers, take note and please please copy this design 😂
I agree. This right here is what makes me happy in the field ☺️
Moovair has the exact same set up. Was a game changer for install/ service when we starting putting them in
Right
Carrier is rebranding these units too
Its a rebranded carrier.
Carrier is a rebranded Midea. Midea is the main company that makes these for 10+ other companies that slap their name on it.
