It's an accent thing, happens with most people as far as I can tell. You shift back into that core emotion.
Reminds me of a scene from Steven Universe where Sour Cream gets soooo angry at his birthfather (for being a terrible father) that Sour Cream yells at him in his step-father’s native tongue. 🤣 it sounds like Sour Cream was cursing him! And it shows how much his own stepdad (and the stepdad’s culture/ethnicity) had impacted him; (also shows that Sour Cream truly values his stepfather).
The main point: characters in a cartoon experience emotions so powerful, it instinctively brings out their native tongues/accents. Just like with DeeBee. 😅

@@nikosagantz not sure, but he tends to brute force over some things and doesn't take the time to understand the mechanics when it might be obvious for other people. Here is the thing. This is a job for him, so sometimes we might not realize that he is not at his 💯 but he still plays. Also he probably feels the pressure to progress so that could distract him. And let's be real, we all probably are guilty of forgetting things or simply missing them in some games.
Negative combo
I remember during the grind following the fight, that in the middle of it, someone in chat wrote a message saying that he and his kid was watching the stream in a children's hospital.
He also mentioned the kid was enjoying seeing all the different heartless.
So while the grind might have been annoying, you at least made one kid's hospital visit, just a little better!

Congrats! Now you truly understand our pain. This game is quite the love hate relationship isn’t it? Series hasn’t made sense to me for years and I still love it. Great job beating this boss, when you’re up to it (and want to feel some pain) go through the game again on critical. It’s one hell of a challenge in some places but there is no better feeling than when you finally beat it all
I watched this live, the real final boss was the synth grind.

31:48 "Revenge? ...No." That right there is the key. Knowing when to attack is important for all the data battles but once I learned when to STOP attacking, that's when I was able to consistently make it to Phase 2 of this battle. Getting a general idea of revenge values was eye-opening. It was fun reliving this with you - congrats!
47:16 is the face of man seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Love that you finally beat this boss Dee. Hope you didn’t pull out too many hairs.

So his use of Chicken Little inspired me to go find out what he actually does. So according to the KHWiki:
Chicken Little is a useful summon for defense and utility. He whistles occasionally to stun enemies and attract them to Sora, similar to Magnet, allowing groups of enemies to be handled easier. In terms of healing, Chicken Little can restore 40% of Sora's HP and Sora also regains a small amount of HP with every successful Keyblade hit. Chicken Little also fires baseballs to damage enemies. This is mimicked in his limit, FPS Mode, in which balls and firecrackers are fired at enemies.
This was one of dee’s best streams ever. Even though I wasn’t there for the whole thing, it was an honor to be in at least part of the experience.

The fact that DBG hardly (if he did) changed up the trio's equipment speaks volumes. Like, he didn't have the best accessories like Full Bloom+, nor have armor like ribbons & the like(besides grand ribbon) , or have Donald & Goofy armed with Mega/Hi potions or ethers or their best possible weapons in the game speaks a lot. He really went in & just kept what he had, rather than upgrade the entire party's arsenal with great builds. Idk if that's foolish or reckless or whatever, but it nabbed him a victory on LW. Congrats 👏👏👏
Also, fyi, he hardly synthesized, so he had to suffer 6 whole hours getting everything done in order to get that platinum 🏆. Congrats on that too 👏👏

@@Blah3210 fr. If he doesn't bring his A game to them all, he'll be suffering for hours. Can't just brute force past them, Gotta be prepared to the best he can.
But I'm glad he'll be doing it on Critical. It'll test his abilities & knowledge, & have him suffer a bit less when getting the secret endings & stuff, since a lot of them require few things.

(Nintendogs was on of the first games I ever got for the DS when I was little, and I became obsessed with the game series)…so my attachment to these little dudes was very strong when I got kh3D. 😁 I actually went to stand in line for the release copy of KHDDD at the Nintendo store, and got a kh3D shirt from a raffle. 🥰
I realized that naming my Dream Eaters (when playing the ps3 remaster) increased my love for them tenfold! 😅🥰 (I gave them some fun/cute names.😆).

For some time i did has this thinking in videogames: everytime you loose against a boss, and you try again and again, you learn the boss's pattern, but when i was a kid i also believed that the boss also learned what to do in order to make things more difficult in every atempt. Maybe that was my excuse of getting tired (both phisical and mentally) of loosing against the same boss over and over again XD
Watching you go on this journey has been a blast and brought back so many memories of my first playthrough. I'm glad you're enjoying this series and glad you're a proud keyblade master!

You know someone has made a huge effort in the game when they beat lingering will with dodge slash equipped. I hope you get do do a lv1 crit playthrough someday. It's the most rewarding experience ever (also so brutal you'll want to die irl)
Dodge slash doesn't deserve the hate IMO. Especially during this fight in particular because it does a lot of hits.
I'm personally hoping to see him face Mysterious Figure in BBS. 'Cause I suffered and the only healing is to watch others suffer.

@@Someguyhere111 Eh, MF isn't the same as KHII LW. MF either cheeses you, or you cheese him depending on what pattern RNG gives him, with very, very little in between. It's just not an interesting fight
I think one of the most useful things in this fight for me was final form. I was able to take out huge chunks of his health with that.
Yeah, with Final I basically nuked the last third of his health in my winning attempt as a "All or nothing" so to speak.

51:35 I think that's one of the best things about the gameplay of these games. At the start of really hard bosses you think, damn, this is pretty much impossible. But then you slowly learn and make your way through the fight. It's a very satisfying feeling.

Congrats. As I guy that did do this whole thing at level 1, I once struggled with this fight as well. Though, at level 1, I think the final Cavern of Rememberance mob fight is the hardest. Also, not really a spoiler, but KH3 is where you'll get to do Keyblade transformations. Something to look forward to.
The beginning was pretty painful, I though he already knew how to quick use magic? I guess I was wrong, at least he actually tried to learn this time, I don't want to sound like some KH2 Tryhard because I'm not, but it was something so basic and easy to do that gave me anxiety not seeing him do it.
He goes on a rant at the end about people complaining about how he plays and that he learned how to use the correct mechanics now. I'm not very convinced but he beat it either way

I will say that I was getting mad when you had the habit of blocking WAY too soon in the fight, but as I watched you work so hard and picking up on the shenanigans LW put you through and defeating him I was soo happy to see that. That was awesome and I hope to see your birth by sleep playthrough.

I have to actually thank you, this fight wasn't on the original version, (I hadn't played kh2 since the initial release) I didn’t know that you can guard all of his attacks. I’m physically disabled playing with one fully functional hand (the other is extremely limited ). So his attack speed is a huge issue and so being on critical, I cheesed him, but now I’m going to make a legit attempt after I get the platinum myself.
Oh my gosh, good luck you mad lad, our hopes go with you. If I can recommend one thing, make sure you go in with the best gear and items you can. Having 8 Mega-elixers helped tremendously for me as it not only recharged me but Donald as well letting me wait on him for my next heal.
Edit : and yes, I have beat him on Crit legit.
@@magicalduckye2356 that’s a great idea on the mega elixirs (which won’t be hard to synth because I have 9 lucky rings) I also have 4 full bloom + and I will probably take the time to make a bunch of defense boosts and such too.
@@joshz2491 Exactly, Ultima + 4 Full blooms±'s equals 200% faster mp speed not counting any you would get leveling Wisdom or the Hastera you get for being on crit. It's one of my favorite stats myself and can be really great for such. I too didn't know about these fights for so long being a KH2 og guy myself, and figuring that out helped a lot as Curaga became almost spammable as long as I didn't need Refectga right after... and if I did need it, but also needed the heal, that's why the Mega-elixers are there. Also Goofy with Mega-potions wasn't bad either, just be ready for a mad offensive at start while he has some.
I'm not exactly in the same boat, but my hand is also limited. I actually intend to do a single hand proof of concept run though the series. Probably turn on some of the accessibility options as well
man, this boss is so hard. I've seen videos of people fighting it at lvl1 no damage, and it blows my mind.
Can't wait to see him get to kh3, I thought lingering will on critical or unknown from birth by sleep were hard, but the final fight in kh3 remind on critical is on another level, it's the only fight that took me 2 entire days of attempts to defeat it, all the rest I could defeat in the first day I attempted.

Agreed, I was thinking the same thing. Lingering Will is tough but Yozora is... on another level imo. All the data fights in KH3 are for the most part.

I will admit I was one of the people who were critical of your way of playing, definitely not as much as some OTHER commenters, but still a bit wary of how you would (or wouldn't) do things.
HOWEVER
Watching you grow and learn as a player from the start of KH1 to Final Xemnas to the Data Org and finally defeating Lingering Will has been so entertaining and satisfying to watch over these past few months. You're the only streamer that I actually watch live and whose Discord I've joined!

Its so sad that we are almost done with KH2 already. I know this journey is already quite long and we have still more KH games to come than we completed. But it’s still sad that this masterpiece is already done after being hyped for it for so long. Time flies man.
