Great review Kris! I have one of these myself and been using it for years and I've even posted a video on it in 2020. One thing to take note is, I used to use IPA as cleaner of choice but I was encouraged to switch to Denatured Alcohol from a loco hobby shop and I will tell you that I don't have to clean my track as often as I did with using IPA (even 99% alcohol). I also hear Mineral Spirits works better than DA but I won't try it until I run out of DA first. I know of someone who uses CRC 3-36 and he says he rarely ever cleans his track too. You have the absolute best car to clean your track with IMO but it only works as good as the cleaner you put in it. - Jason
I think you are the only one to catch that. Trying to break up my keeping track series as the videos are hard to find in groups. I hope it’s easier to find now.
On my layout I use mineral spirits instead of rubbing alcohol. I’ve read alcohol can actually promote dirt build up later on? There’s literature on it. Either way the CMX works great!
@@KingTrump2024 oh dang. Ya that’s rough. The LRC cars are not as free rolling as I’d like so I pull max 4. Bi-level go cars I can do like 7. They are way better. The cmx is a heavy car, it needs a good push/pull combo. Not sure if that is written anywhere…..
Everybody I know who has bought one of these swears by them. I have a different type... a 3car set from a company called LUX. Excellent cleaners, but makes this look very inexpensive.
so your using 3locos to push this thing i burn up my pumpkin to push this thing no body can tell me this is a good track cleaner good luck with it maybe you should get some of the cr something and spray it inside the tank that way you clean the track and protect it to
I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with it. Things don’t always work out the same for everyone. If you ever require any tips let me know. Always happy to help

Nice video Kris. I love mine. I still prefer to do some of the spurs with a Q-tip just for ease of access, but I do most of the layout with my CMX.
Tanks alot Kris. The Shamwow of the rails. First on chessy comment

That’s a good tip. I have not personally had issues but I will look into it!
Thanks for watching.
there so good im considering getting a 2nd cmx
Your not working hard, your working smart!
thx man@@GoViaorgohome
Should use 2 6-axle units for that, you will burn out that motor in the F59s in no time !
No issues, but now I run it with my gevo sets. I think that was just what I had on hand at the time.
@GoViaorgohome I smoked the motors in 2 F40s pulling a 10 car canadian. They don't last long under a continuous heavy load.

It’s great if you have lots of track or track in hard to reach spots not sure how long it would take me by hand lol.
what spark maid service was not working out
They have that? Lol
So does this mean you fired mark? I though you hired him to clean your layout by hand
Took him way too long. He would always get…. Sidetracked
I found out the hard way too. He pretended he wasn’t home. I saw a light on and he works from home. A simple “You’re fired” text would have sufficed.
@@MMRails are you the nut outside my window playing Nsync on a boombox that you hold above your head?
