Well done Tom. Longines are not only great watches but that heritage and back catalogue give the brand a vast amount of options for new re-introduction models. I love the sector dial, my preference is the white - cream dial and the Big Eye is my most at a glance readable chrono that I've seen. I could add many other models to my list but that would be out of scope of this video. Many thanks for sharing Tom.
My very first entry-luxury was a Longines Flagship. And I am still wearing it now. The caliber L888 (not the COSC grade) is superb. I tracked the watch within 20 days and its accuracy was +5 spd, very close to the COSC standard.
Well done, Tom. I'm still pretty new to the collection game and still learning. These types of videos are great for folks like me... want more info on brands but too lazy to look it up ourselves. 😁. Thanks!
Great vid about a decent brand that's often overlooked by collectors. However I do think the affordable pricing shines through when you expose their watches to this degree of macro.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MaMaCoo and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
I love this brand. I have the Hydroconquest 41mm blue dial with the ceramic bezel insert. I've had it for over a year and the accuracy is spot on and it's not even COSC certified. I feel it's one of the most under rated Swiss time piece.
MaMaCoo You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
I love Longines. I have a Hydroconquest. I love the bloody thing. Thanks for a great video. So many more great Longines to think about… I also love the Majatek!
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
When I can finally afford my first luxury watch it will be a Longines. Im not sure what one yet, but I do love the Spirit Zulu with green face and brown strap
My first Luxury/costly watch(i dont feel the term Luxury makes sense to watches i mean they are not Cars ,Mansions)Would be Seiko 5 Snxs 79 k,Then Casio Oceanus T 200,Then Tissot Le Locle, Casio Full metal G shock Then Hamilton ventura open heart Automatic ,Then Seiko Ginza Alipinst ,Then Raketa Submarine kashlot K-322 Limited,Then Tag huer Monnaco, Then JLC reverso and Reverso tribute chrono Then in distant Future Glashute Original Panomatic inverse and Then A lange& Sonhe Lange 1 perpetual calendar,1815 Rattrapante.
My Longines Flagship was the first luxury piece I ever bought myself. It was at the beginning of this year as a gift my first full year as a practicing attorney. I'll never forget the buying experience. If you are wanting to buy a Longines and are able to make it there, absolutely do it through the NYC flagship. They are amazing folks there
My first ever Longines is the spirit zulutime 42mm. I love the way it looks. Unfortunately the qc demons from my seiko collection cant stop trolling me because my one and only Longines has a qc issue on the 1 index of the 12 o'clock. It has bad lume paint so that when i view my watch in the dark, this number 1 is glowing weaker compared to the rest of the indexes of the watch. I dont really have an easy option to replace the watch since it is a gift my wife bought me on her vacation to korea 😅. So i will just have to live with it.
When I first saw a Longine ad, and this was when i have no knowledge of watches, I thought it was spelled Long-e-nes... Welp, my mom was the one who corrected me lmao at least its good to know early on.
It seems we’re all fans of the Flagship but wow! so many firsts this company has historically. I quite like that black faced chronograph. Do they still use the 7750 calibre in their chronos?
They use a variety of 'exclusive to Longines', ETA movements I believe. So they are prefaced with L before the number now. My chronograph is L688. the Spirit Flyback is L791. Not sure about other chronos in their range.
I have a FC GMT Yacht Timer and a Longines Master Small Seconds, and I would say that they are pretty close. Longines are perhaps simpler and more refined with history, but I love my FC. The watch finishing is probably not quite up to Longines, but the dial is wonderful. Both are great companies.
Hello and thanks for this video. Teddy Baldassarre did one some days before. It was interesting to listen to the two. I love thier sector dial, but I think it is a bit exepnsive. Thus I don't think I'll buy a Longines even if I really appreciate this brand.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the amzwatch has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
my absolute favorite brand when it comes to value for the money. super happy with my heritage sector dial, my conquest power reserve and my legend diver chrono
Well done Tom and all the authors. Back to the roots, speaking simply to newcomers, displaying a great selection of quite affordable pieces, with a little bit of humor and storytelling. As a seasoned watch enthusiast myself I enjoyed the video too. Longines is a bit of an underdog but not for long... That's the way. Of course if you mind doing some more funny videos too, it won't harm. We know you are a funny bloke. 😊
He's trying to sound like Andrew. I think Tom's natural voice is far more authentic than Andrew's, which itself is stolen from Clarkson, with that end of sentence sigh.
Leave the geeza alone - this channel has established itself as the low key relaxed corner of the on line watch community and he’s doing a decent job picking up where Andrew left off - he is being himself while working hard not to change the flavour of the channel which is why we’re all here in the first place
He may genuinely want to change the timbre of his voice, it is often the case people do not like hearing there voices played back to themselves. Could just be a personal preference.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MaMaCoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
In Toronto canada I buy a super super clone I bring it to a rolex expert he say it was real rolex . Unbelievable. Your super clone look just like mine. You a expert but a regular person like me will never know. Imagine on amzwatch

I could see having a whole collection of Longines & the Legend Diver is my grail.

Best looking watches on the market.
Although affordable by luxury watch standards, these are luckily still above my "bad decision" purchase price range haha. The legend diver is gorgeous
I can strongly recommend the Conquest 38mm in olive green, amazing watch and readily available unlike R......😁

Fine vid. Just got my first Carrera…..the 39 mm blue glass box. Never had such a thing. Great vid Tom! Thanks
@@jazzman5598 Lucky you! My daughter wants a Carrera. I’ve got a Tag 200 Professional from the 80s. The Breitling Chronomat ripped it off
It was somehow the brand of my first watch(...second, the first was an inherited Speedy)
A superb profile of this great watchmaker!
Thank you for this informative video! I'm interested in the Longines Prima Luna. Does the moon inside the case move? Thank you again!
Longines > Tudor, especially if we are comparing their line of heritage timepieces
Longines timeless brand

What a great first luxury watch!
Longines has entered the Tom zone
No mention to the spirit?

It's just such a great watch. Yeah. It's such a shame that despite all its innovation, the likes of TAG, Omega, and Rolex seem to overshadow it.
They often use column wheel chronographs
That FLAGSHIP is stunning, but out of my reach 😢
Haven’t a clue what Mamacoo or amzwatch are ??
Can some one Answer me How does Fredirique Constant compare to Longiness are they both same league

Longines is creating amazing pieces.
Sure is. The brand deserves way more attention than it currently gets.
I'm genuinely impressed with how close amzwatch were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
Ever since I bought a watch from amzwatch , My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
With price of the Legend Diver 39 Longines jumped on a greed train. I'm not in love anymore.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the amzwatch has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.

Luxury ? I guess it is all relative. I am sure they make good watches.
Nope. Longines is a proper luxury brand.
My voice
amzwatch is best watch factory!!!
I guess my first true luxury was the Breitling Colt.

Not to self promote , but I just posted a Rolex facts vid. This channel helped me to gain confidence to start my own !
Another excellent video. 👍

Can’t justify Longines prices. I view them as a fancy tissot
Buy second hand and save 40-50%
I think they are a great brand worth every penny
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of amzwatch's watch 99% of people will never see.

MaMaCoo is best watch factory!!!
Best first watch is Clean Factory Explorer 1
A fake watch is the lowest of the low. Now a real Explorer is a good shout.
Yeah. Buy fakes and live a life in shape. Noice!!
