Where'd you see that dog? During the throne room scene. While Aegon is trying to be a good king you see Cheese (the ratcatcher) walk across the screen w the dog in the far background. (You see him like 3 times before the finale.)
I'm fairly sure those two were told to take out any son if they couldn't find Aemond. That's why we never heard Daemon's answer, it cut away. A son for a son was the theme of the episode. Just my take.
On a rewatch I thought the same thing… Didn’t quite notice Daemons lingering stare after that question until editing, very dark. Excited for episode 2!!! - Niamh
Emma Zia D'Arcy, Elliot Grihault and Tom Glynn-Carney acting in this episode was absolutely fantastic. I am team black and the only green I like is Helaena.
39:10, no... That's why Cheese saw behind her bluff, her eyes were the fact that gave it away. Cheese knew she was trying the reverse psychology on them, pointing to the boy so they would go for the other one. Sad moment.
Yay, love that your reacting to this. Naw Jace breaking down into his mother's arms also broke me.. my sister through Athena, I should really hope youre Team Black lol. I have to say the only person I feel bad for in Team Green is Helaena because she is innocent and didnt deserve to lose a son like that. But that being said, if my son had been killed the way Lucerys had been the whole of that Hightower family is getting Dracarys'd 🤣🤣🤣 so Rhaenyra did well in just limiting herself to Aemond.
I’m absolutely team Rhaenyra all the way 💙 but I feel the show is much more enjoyable for me when I try to understand the motives of all characters and understand their perspectives of the situation. This is a broken family to me, in a cruel world - not villains and good guys. I like watching it through this lense as I feel there are so many layers to every character - good and bad - even the greens! Thank you soooo much for joining us 💙 excited to continue with the series - Niamh

First of all Welcome Back! Congratulations on the new baby which I'm sure made this episode difficult to watch. The reason both sides have hesitated to go to war is based on the saying "When Dragons go to war the world burns". Now because of the brutal murder I'm pretty sure the gloves are going to come off. Team Black here as well, and once again welcome back:)

Daemon said to them '"a son for a son" after the scene cut, Blood (one of the killers) confirms it. So killing the boy was plan B.
