Personally, I love ball gowns. But if I were a bridesmaid, I would never tell the bride what type of dress she should get for her big day
So you've never told a close friend or best friend to wear something you thought was prettier on them? I think that's probably what happened.

I hate when the entourage think they can tell the bride what to wear..its their wedding day not yours 😂😂
I mean… giving a suggestion when your friend _Bethany_ who shall not be named, wants to wear a pink cropped tank top with a cotton candy blue maxi skirt and black opera gloves… _on top of that_ ruby earrings and necklace and red stilettos… on her _wedding day_ with a “lavender and melatonin” (I still don’t quite understand) themed wedding… is necessary. She needed to know that… there certainly are some decisions that could be toned down just _slightly_ only for her to shut down everyone who gave her other ideas and then proceed to regret the wedding pictures of just how…. Not cohesive everything was because her husband wasn’t even in matching attire- not even a matching _tie_ 🤦♀️ oh and of course the bridesmaids had to wear black _pantsuits_ . Why? I assumed to match the gloves, but apparently it wasn’t that and she hasn’t explained why.
Maybe she’s just a fashion icon and the rest of us just don’t understand taste 🤷♀️ at this point I have no idea
@@DefinitelyNotAFerret But it's her wish, if she wants a funky, styled wedding, let her have one if it makes her happy. A good friend, family member, person, would allow her to have her wedding the way she wanted it even if it's weird and mismatched. She wanted it unique and something not normal, I would respect that actually. It shows to me that she's confident, would you seriously stoop so low to criticize someone's confidence? I wouldn't, we need more confident people. Most people are too afraid to stick out, to be unique, because of how they will be labeled. I agree, it's ridiculous to get upset at her wedding photo when she chose it but if she didn't complain and still liked it, I'd just let her be happy.
And also, if she doesn't like it in the end then that's her fault. Not everyone else's fault. If it's not my fault I ain't dealing with it, especially if I told them. Sometimes people have to see it on their own instead of someone telling them.

It's really not hard to listen to and thank them for their time, effort, and attention to the planning process before reasserting your choice (with out being an a**hole). I had the opposite problem. Everyone said the fitted dresses looked so good, but i personally don't think they look like wedding dresses. Didn't feel right, so i went with a beautiful slim A-line ☺️

I kinda went with a ball gown, satin and A-line, and I loved it, but each bride is different, and will look better in a different dress from one another, due to body-shape and how she glows in it, I recall how my sister, mother and MIL stated how I was glowing when I found THE DRESS

For me my favorites are satin and A-line wedding dresses. But I would never tell the bride my opinion unless they asked for it. As long as the bride loves it I love it, and my opinion doesn't matter on someone's special day. Maybe it wouldn't be as rude if it was just some ordinary day, but at a wedding? No, the bride deserves HER dream wedding dress not what I would prefer.
